You don't know anything. Until they lead you to hell and collect all you have before you open your senses. "If the Son sets you free, you are free indeed" - God's word. So, why do you keep running from one crusade/revival to another in search of the liberty that you already have. It is either that you don't know who you are as God's child or you are not even born again. And this so-called thieves know and continue to milk you dry.

You are now coming to this forum to build sentiments against a moslem Commissioner of Police because of rogues who pretend to be men of God. Keep shut and remain silent. angry angry angry angry angry angry
Car TalkRe: Advise Me About Honda E.O.D by lawbabs: 1:25pm On Jun 18, 2012
fittty: Pls guys I want to buy a honda E.O.D... Pls advise me bout its advantages and disadvantages... Thanks
EOD is a very cool car. However, most of the problems EOD develops on Nigerian roads include:

* Gear Problem
* Wheel and Axle troubles
*Flooded Brain Box (this is only possible if you drive on a heavily flooded road because the brain box is at the lower part of the engine).

The most important thing is the way you drive and maintain the car. Once all mainenance instructions are optimally observed, you have nothing to worry about.
PoliticsI Watched Farouk Lawan On Channels Applying To Delete Zenon Oil From The List by lawbabs(op): 7:54am On Jun 14, 2012
I thought it was cooked up until I watched Lawan applying to the house to delist ZENON OIL from the list of those that bought hard currency from CBN without purchasing the products for which the money was meant. And everyone on the floor of the house were amazed that his committee submitted the report in the first place. Why should he now be coming after the report has been submitted to delist two company's name from the list.

Something is wrong somewhere. I don't Farouk is being sincere in this bribery scandal. I am so disappointed with him. In as much as I know that the presidency planned it all out, this guy soiled his hand and just a moment of compromise has landed him in trouble....

Pls pls pls, maybe I am crazy or something. Or am I the only one who is asking the question:

WHY DID FAROUK GO TO OTEDOLA'S HOUSE BEING THE CHAIRMAN OF PROBE COMMITTEE?

IT IS LIKE SANUSI LAMIDO GOING TO AKINGBOLA'S HOUSE DURING THE BANKING REFORM SAGA.

It just doesnt make sense. They don't add up. There is more to this story than we have heard...
PoliticsRe: Farouk Lawan: Femi Otedola's $500K Bribe Was To Expose Him by lawbabs: 10:41am On Jun 12, 2012
I initially thought it was the presidency that was orchestrating a plan to discredit the report... I read Otedola's claim and I was still sure that Farouk Lawan had integrtity. After reading his (Farouk Lawan)second story in two days with the level of incosistency, I realised that only God is the hope of this country. Like OBJ said, what law can they (the National Legislators) they make when they are rogues and armed robbers. I am sure there will still be another twist to this story. Let's watch out.

I am sad for my father land... cry cry cry cry cry cry cry

Christianity EtcRe: Creflo Dollar Arrested For Choking His Daughter by lawbabs: 8:13am On Jun 11, 2012
I have read very wicked posts from Nlanders and it's unfortunate that most of us here are young and don't have a teenager as child. If you you have a teenage daughter or son, then you will understand that Cleffor Dollars must have acted in the interest of the daughter's future. I am so sure the media blew it out of proportion because they found a mark on her neck. Trust me, it is not always what it is painted to be. I am not a Dollar follower but the devil has stylishly taken the role of the family and placed it in the hands of the govt. I love the chinese families living in America. They will never let the American system destroy their heritage!!! Too sad, the value system of America is in shambles. It is only a matter of time, America will crash!

I think the poster is only trying to get unneccesary attention. You didnt ask the question: WHY DID THE MANAGEMENT OF DANA AIR AUTHORIZE THE FLIGHT OF THAT PLANE AFTER IT WAS CONFIRMED TO BE FAULTY? You didnt ask: WHY DONT WE HAVE A NCAA THAT COORDINATES ROUTINE CHECKS ON THE ENGINEERING DIVISION OF ALL AIRLINES AND TAKE NOTES OF EVERY SERVICE DETAIL OF EACH CRAFT THAT FLIES IN THE NIGERIAN AIRSPACE? We keep blaming God for human ngeligence. @OP, u better go and change your own ways and become more diligent in your own little space so that your mistakes won't kill others and preach it to others around you rather than blame God for human errors.
TravelIndian Senior Bosses Of Dana Air Flee Nigeria by lawbabs(op): 8:19am On Jun 06, 2012
As Dana Air’s woes continue to mount over its plane that crashed on Sunday in Lagos, its senior managers of Indian nationality have reportedly fled the country as Nigerian aviation officials investigate the cause of the crash.

It was gathered that the managers hurriedly fled because of the anger the death of more than 200 people has generated and the alleged Dana Air’s complicity in the crash.

There are reports that the ill-fated plane was poorly maintained and in bad shape when it made its last flight.

A call was placed to the head, corporate communications, Dana Group, Mr. Tony Usidamen, he refused to pick his calls and also did not reply a text message sent to him.

Politics"Ngn3n Pension Scam: We Bribed Senate In Dollars" - Suspect by lawbabs(op): 11:17am On May 28, 2012
Sani Shu’aibu Teidi, one of the suspects standing trial before the Federal High Court, Abuja, for the massive looting of the pension treasury, has alleged that he and other accomplices paid the Senator Aloysius Etuk-led Senate Committee a N3bn bribe in dollars.

The bribe, it was alleged, was to stall the prosecution of the accused persons.

The bribe scandal took another dimension following the mentioning of the name of the immediate past chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mrs Farida Waziri, who allegedly working with the mindset that the Senate Committee would make good its promise of stalling the case of the accused persons, also got a property located at Parakou Crescent, Wuse II, Abuja, as bribe.

The principal suspect further alleged that the Senator Aloysius Etuk-led committee failed to fulfil an earlier promise of helping to stall their prosecution after collecting the N3bn contributory bribe.

gathered that the allegations are already causing ripples within the Senate committee.

A source close to the principal accused, Dr. Teidi, said that the cause of the disaffection within the Senate committee was borne out of the discovery that, out of the N3bn obtained as bribe from the six accused, Senator Etuk attempted to outsmart his colleagues by declaring only N500million, a paltry one-sixth of the actual bribe he allegedly collected and also participated in the sharing.

The source added that Dr. Teidi and other accomplices paid the Sen. Etuk-led committee the N3bn bribe in dollars after Teidi was coerced into giving details of his assets/ properties, with the promise to soften the severity of his offence, after which he was asked to give out 50 per cent to them.

An obviously angry Dr. Teidi “felt betrayed by the Senate committee leadership’s greed and inability to properly handle our (the accused persons’) matter before” it, our source added, and he therefore resolved to make public all information on the botched agreement.

“In fact, the N3bn bribe offered the senate committee was contributed by all the accused persons, each with the amount of N500million. The committee made us believe that when we give the money being demanded, it will give us a safe landing, thereby escaping prosecution, but, to our greatest dismay, they only succeeded in cutting their own share,” the source quoted Dr. Teidi.

According to the source who pleaded anonymity, trouble started when the deputy chairman of the committee, Senator Kabiru Gaya got wind of the exact sum offered by the accused from an independent source, who is also his kinsman, a former director of the Police Pension Board and incidentally a relation of one of the accused standing trial before the Abuja Court and confronted Senator Etuk with his findings.

The accused director, who hails from the same constituency with the Kano State-born Senator, alleged that he used his own pension loot to buy substantial shares in one of the national dailies, and was said to have approached Gaya to know why their case was yet to be quashed as promised after availing them of the N3bn bribe as requested – a disclosure which shocked the committee’s vice chairman.

The matter took a turn for the worse with Senator Etuk denying the charge levelled against him by the suspects, and other members allegedly lost confidence in him.

The Senator however did not pick the repeated calls made to his phone and neither did he respond to text messages which sought clarification over the matter.

Senator Etuk had urged the EFCC, the police and other anti-graft agencies to investigate the allegation against him and his committee, claiming that it was the chairman of the task force team who had been trailing the committee with bribe offer to influence the pension scam investigation.

He was quoted to have said that obtained evidence and fact would speak for itself when his committee’s report was submitted to the Senate, not the sentiment of a desperate fellow whose fraud and corrupt act has been exposed. “The committee never and will never request for bribe,” he said

BusinessRe: How Safe Is Internet Banking In Nigeria And Which Bank(s) Will You Recommend? by lawbabs: 12:18pm On May 10, 2012
Internet banking is quite safe. Just be sure of your Bank's website. There are counterfeit websites that will allow u put ur details online. Once you put in you security details and click "GO" or "LOG IN", ur details have been captured and they can have access to your account information through the genuine site of the Bank.

So, yes internet banking is only safe if you take this precaution. Don't follow a link to your bank's website. Type in the website's URL on the address bar of ur internet explorer to be double sure that you are in the right website.

Meanwhile, I use Skye Bank and GTBank's internet banking. I love their multi-layers security checks and platforms. I am sure you will be glad to use them. You can try any of the Banks out.

Nice day.

I just pity nigerians. In search of greener pasture, they end up in red and drier pasture. I have lived abroad before. Do not be decieved, if you dont get recruited by an international organisation based abroad, or get admitted to an international school for studies, you are only making a mistake by giving scammers opportunity to feed fat on you. Nigerians beware. NOT EVERYTHING THAT GLITTERS IS GOLD! Be warned!

Well, for me, it was terrible in the first one month. I felt like returning especially because I hadn’t quitted my job in the UK (I only came on vacation). The way things were done became new to me again. The struggling and rushing mentality was unbearable for me. I literally wanted to return to the UK before my vacation was over. Suddenly, I met a former boss and we had a chat. That was how I got bigger job here in Nigeria. I went back and resigned in the UK and have been in Nigeria since then. I had so many times that I just felt like returning to UK especially with the epileptic power system in Nigeria and the rising noise of generator sets in every neighbourhood within Lagos. However, I have just learnt to enjoy the area called Naija just the way it is... Some may say Nigeria will get better soon. For me, it is different. Nigeria is not ready to even take the first step toward development. We are still far...

I am not a regular poster on NL but I follow loads of threads. But I am so compelled to call some elements here "FOOLS" because they do not think before they post comments. Their comments are always either to stir tribal division or to insult others. I am sure some of them are kids.

Going forward, I recommend that Seun should request scanned copies of pple's passports  to see their age before accepting their request to join NL (On a softer note). But seriously, people need to grow up and make valid comments that would contribute to National development. If the youths of this country continue like this, I don't see hope for the future (I'm sorry to say). Leave your tribe and first become a Nigeria before anything else.

BusinessRe: Nigeria To Invest $2.6bn In Indonesian Refinery Deal by lawbabs: 7:44am On Oct 13, 2011
When FDI flows to Nigeria, everybody would say they are repatriating our economy. Now, Nigeria is investing as multinational in another country, everybody is crying fowl. Before you crucify, look deeply at the possible justification. 1. It is an investment and should bring in profit to Nigeria at the end of the day. I hope you know how much MTN takes out of our economy to South Africa. FDI to another country is not a bad idea. 2. We re expanding our crude oil export destinations to include Indonesia. That's balance of trade surplus and increased revenue, foreign reserve account, etc. I am not saying that there is no disadvantage. I am only saying that be objective before you insult your president.

I am not comfortable with the positions of the female comments here. See, the truth is always bitter but it is the only deliverer. "You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free" - Bible. The only reason you feel guilty is because you know telling him will deliver your soul. And come to think of it, it is better to build a marital relationship on a foundation of truth and honesty. What if after 2yrs of marriage, someone who is familiar with the story get to tell him. How would you feel? Save the shame and do the right thing. There are ways you can handle the discussion. You can paint the story as a friend's true life story and that you want to advise your friend. Ask him for his candid opinion. If he is a good and forgiving guy, he will support forgiveness and then you both can handle it from there. I wish you the very best. Don't forget that the truth saves! And there is no short cut to lasting peace in your soul!
PoliticsIs It Not Time We Sit Down And Discuss Our Future As A Country by lawbabs(op): 8:44am On Aug 27, 2011
Events in the last few years have opened up the lapses which constitute the foundation of our dear country, Nigeria. Someone said we are a nation but the truth is we are not! We are many nations in one country. And I think the troubles we are currently facing is a circle and a refelction of the faulty foundation on which the country is built and these troubles may not end if we don't sit down and decide the basis of our existence as a country/nation. We really don't have to practice federal system/presidential system. Do we? For me, confederalism is best for this entity called Nigeria. Peeps, what do you think?

Jibola was a very good friend when we were in School. He had been a sport analyst since secondary school. Even though he studied English as a course in the University, we all knew that sport reporting is his thing. So when he started with Brilla FM, I knew he was doing what he loves doing. Each time I heard him on radio, I was always proud of my homie (Poldoski).

You may not understand how pained I am but those of us who shared hostel with him in his undergraduate days know so well how painful the loss of this brother is to me. The times we drank Garri 2geda, the times we cooked communal beans in Block A. Those memories are bringing tears to my eyes. He was so cool a guy that he neva quarelled with anyone.

Even though it's been a while since we saw because I was away from the country, I still can neva 4get how beautiful your heart is. I have with me the pic I took with you, BabyLaw and OlujaY and I wish I can talk about your simple face in the pic but I will stop here dear brother.
