Rexxie: Sls's job was well stipulated n laid down b4 him at d assumption of office n i believe tryin to beat Julian Asange every now n then wasnt part of it..makin one sided donations over 2 blast victims wit public funds n bringing on board jaiz whateva bank in a land rife wit ethnoreligious tension n differences werent within his lines..nobody is saying he shouldnt convey financial statements or infos 2 d executive or legislature but when such statements n figures emanating frm such a high official proves to be outright misleading, false n calculated to bring d president to disrepute-as all fingers will point to gej-n u guys come on here still n put up such crap, then u got a long way 2 go. sls long shud hav gotten da boots.U re just a GEJ ' S apologist. Think straight for the right reason. It was a private letter just like u hv internal memo within an organisation. So it is after investigation, he will now write to exonerate Himself? Think Now! Things aren't done that way. What I expect u to say is that SLS should have contacted NNPC first and seek to reconcile cbn observation with NNPC's record before writing the letter. And what makes u feel that he didn't contact NNPC b4 that. Of course we re not privy to that info except u work in NNPC or presidency - U know u guys are many here on nairaland. What i am worried about is how the private letter leaked. If it was leaked by SLS then he is a self seeker. If it was from ur presidency, then ur GEJ needs some house cleaning to do. |
Kachi188: Common sense will tell anyone that that claim was ridiculous. That NNPC has withheld an amount equal to the national budget for two years. Did U even hear NNPC's reply, that CBN brought up that complaint in september which the presidency forwarded to the petroleum minister who satisfactorily replied the. Query. Are you telling. Me that Sanusi had no idea that other government agencies take different oil revenues and not just NNPC.Bros, your initial argument was that Sanusi ought not to write a letter in the first place b4 investigation. A beg park well. If u hv forgotten your statement, pls go back to page one of the thread. And my response is that it is the right thing to do. Where the problem lies is the leaking of the letter. If it was sanusi that leaked it, I don't know, if it was a mole in the presidency, I don't know. But because the letter leaked doesn't mean he shouldn't write to notify the president of any perceived irregularity. Or in your organization, you only sing the praises of your MD? You don't write memo to advise your management on a perceived leakage if any? Abeg abeg go and think about it.... |
Kachi188: If Sanusi has any decency left, he should just resign his position. That letter is a clear indication that he intends to embarrass the FGN. You don't write such a letter when investigations have not been carried out. It damages your reputation and calls into question all other information he has released. How many of them were false or deliberately exaggerated to achieve a desired reaction. That is a foolish statement to make. How would u say, he ought not to write a letter before investigation. Is the letter addressed to u? How will investigation be conducted if he didnt write the letter. The purpose of the letter was for the presidency to investigate the inconsistency. What u should worry urself about is how and why did the letter leak? |
maimalari: Speaking on the letter written to PresidentSee this criminal who stole from the people of Bayelsa, talking trash. It confirmed why OBJ compared GEJ to Abacha. Is Alams trying to say GEJ will imprison OBJ. These guys are finally looking for ways to cause chaos in Nigeria. |
pro01: Some of you are hopelessly daft. Can you establish that the president influenced the SUPREME COURT judgment? If not, then why drag his name into the matter? If you are paid by GEJ, congrats but that's where it ends. However, if you are not under his employment, I cry for you. It is so easy for you to close your mind to events happening in the country. Nonsense |
GEJTILL2019: your father is tinubu aka oju yobo is king of corruption!after GEJ leaves shamefully in 2015, I bet you will delete your account from nairaland. |
Dominiquez: This guy is a mole, why didn't he applaud EFCC arrest of Tukur son and Lamido thieves?? All he is after is to see the wrongs of GEJ.You can see how foolish you are. You of all the lapdogs of the president should know that tutor's son's arrest and others is a facade. The more you look, the less u see... |
Eesha: My dear I do not think this is a general problem as it happens I hardly ever use mine on FBN Atm as others are more convenient. Make a formal complaint or change the card.I have complained before and nothing seems to be wrong. The customer care lady confirmed that. I am an IT person and I can only wonder why will my ATM card be singled out for "first bank ATM usage". That's absolutely nonsense. Anyway, I have made my decision. Once my hr sanctions it, I am out of first bank. Good riddance to rubbish... |
I have observed with dismay that my first bank ATM card cannot work on other banks' ATM. I thought it was a system error initially but this has continued for months now. It has resulted into hardship and I have to drive far to access a first bank ATM when I have some other banks close to my house. The annoying thing is that sometimes, the closest first bank, many times, has issues with its ATM and many times I have been left stranded. I am considering closing my fbn account and open a new salary account elsewhere but I want to know if others have experienced same. I am very familiar with the CBN directive to banks and I know that this act by first bank is sanctionable by the CBN. I hope one of the management staff of first bank sees this. |
What is offensive about it? It hurts us when other people tell us the truth. Why didnt they talk about Ghana like that. Can we deny any of the statements apart from the UNILAG tingy. U may say this is not a third world. But the features of a third world are present in this country. This morning, it was announced that 25 people were killed in fresh Boko Haram attack in Borno. Nobody said anything. It has become a norm. Abnormality thrives in this country. So what are we talking about. If we cannot tell ourselves the truth, let someone else tell us the simple but bitter truth. Unfortunately, I reckon that no amount of insult and truth from abroad will change anything because we are used to abnormality. The solution of Nigeria lies with YOU and ME. First decide to change yourself and vehemently reject the rubbish that our clueless leaders throw into our face. We must demand accountability and social justice. We must protest the lack of prosecution of corrupt officials. We must fight impunity. As long as we only complain about it and sit down and watch them do it, nothing will happen. God help us. |
Reading this makes me tired of Nigerian leaders. For God sake, this is about the only country where the wicked are shielded from the law and the innocent are victimised and accused of wrong doing. What is Stella Oduah still doing in the cabinet? Our president promotes corruption and his government stinks so much I am pissed. How could Alamiesiwhatever be given state pardon? In this same Nigeria, criminal will go and donate to churches and mosques and share testimonies of how God has been good to them. Pastors will tell congregation to emulate these corrupt officials (kai!). Imam will pray with and for them and also dine with them (na wa!). Sycophancy everywhere. No one who should tell them is ready to do that. Where is Farouk Lawan? Where is Femi Otedola? Where are the pension thieves (Maina and Co.) Where is 500 Billion Subsidy savings? Where is Dimeji Bankole? Whre is Stella Oduah. Is this how the commonwealth of our land will be wasted and stolen without any form of resistance? Without questions? Without protests? No wonder, they (these polythiefsians) know that we are so dull and tolerant. We will make a little noise and that is the end. They buy time by setting up ad-hoc committees in order to cover tracks. By the time findings are out, Nigerians have forgotten about the matter. I am so sad. Until Nigerians begin to ask questions and not allow events and lies from govt to sweep these cases under the carpet, we will remain like this. We must demand accoutability. Lets all forget about sentiments of tribe and ethnicity. These wicked guys in Abuja dont remember their tribes or people when they ration the loot. Stop defending them. Stop defending the shameless Stella Oduah. Let us rise up as Nigerians and demand for accountability. It may appear ineffective now but over time, it will become the tool for ensuring openess and good governance. Ask questions. Reopen buried cases. Let us wake up from slumber. Oil will dry up one day. What will the generations yet unborn live on if we continue like this. Let us stand for Nigeria and not for these wicked politicians because they are from our tribes. Let is reclaim our country from heartless and wicked politicians who are even ready to take loan (stealing from the future) to finance their comfort. Let us not wait till we become like Sudan or Libya before we rebuild our nation and reclaim our commonwealth. Thank you. Up Golden Eaglet. Long live Nigeria. |
I am not a politician neither do I prefer APC over PDP. As far as I am concern, politics in Nigeria is a game for the pocket of the actors and all the political parties are only looking for greener pasture. But something strikes me and amazes me. Folks, does it not occur to you too that those who hated PDP prior to 2009 are now the same pple drumming up support for PDP just because the PDP president is from South South. The truth for me is, the President is not bigger than PDP and cannot make PDP good. A bad and sour soup is still a bad soup no matter how much you spend to make it tasty. So is PDP. |

Before i throw in my comment, I must first of all say, I am not a tribalist and I respect everyone both on Nairaland and around me. So before you throw your sentimental sword, listen to the voice of reasoning within you. I am worried about some alarmists from the East. It appears that they cry foul over corruption enquiries and investigations that involve any Easterner. The other day, an igbo group told the President they will no longer back him if he sacks Stella Oduah. This is absurdity in the highest order. I would expect them, if they are interested in protecting igbo interest, to say to Mr. President, "If Stella is found culpable, kindly remove her but replace her with an igbo person with high credibility and integrity". Why all this deadly sentiment? It amazes me. From where I come (before you permutate, I am Yoruba man), we don't make excuses for wrong doing. In fact, it is shameful for us to have any Yoruba technocrat or public official being accused of corruption. That is why you didnt see any Yoruba group drumming up support for Patricia Eteh during her travails (She is from my State). Interestingly, I am surrounded by correct Igbo guys with high integrity but when I present issues like this to them, they simply cannot be bothered. In fact, one of my Igbo friends will say, it doesnt add value to him neither does it put food on his table. But in my honest opinion, these set of good Igbo pple should rise to the occassion and condemn this trend. When I see or hear Emeka Anyouku talks, I am always trilled and full of love and respect for him. I sometimes wish he is my uncle, so I could regularly draw wisdom from his experience. People like him should lend their voices and put things in the right perspective. And this is not about Igbo/Yoruba imbroglio. So let no Yoruba fighter quote my statement in a bid to castigate Igbo folks. Thanks. Lawbabs |

Facts & Truths:Sorry, I dont intend to comment. But to let all know that this (Facts & Truths) is a voice from Aso Rock. I am too sure of it... |
JaaizTech: Some of the comments here are disgraceful. Some people have lost their sense of what is moral and what is not. How would a woman selling our privacy for money! be ok. She is dancing nude is in no way any form of art but a sign desperation and low self esteem. That dancer needs help, because she is simply being exploited because of her circumstances. I can not understand what is professional about showing your private part to the whole word in other to amuse them, only to be paid in return for the services!!!. There is very little difference between that and prostitution.Reading through the comments here, my heart bleeds. Immorality has taken over the minds of the youths of this country. If the foundation is destroyed, what can the righteous do? We will keep praying for the revival of our land... |
Keneking: Who cares ? Why did she not invite Protestant church dancers to perform? Is she MTN? She was invited the same way Iyanya was invited. You vain adult... |
Carsonv: I noticed that since the official handover of the unbundled PHCN utilities to investors, power supply in my area has gone from Good to Worst! We go three days straight without power supply. This is in sharp contrast to the 22hours of power we used to enjoy not too long ago!I thought I am the only one experiencing this. It has gone from worse to worst sef. Its more like I am having electricity once in four days. It is terrible. I have spent so much on fuelling my generator since the new investor took over. What a shame... The Pharaoh that knows Joseph not has taken over... |
2ndOGA: Hmm, Scrambling for positions ahead of the "proposed" Used car import ban innit?I would rather say, they are part of the business guys that influenced that proposed policy on imported cars... |
ZUBY77: Too many kids in this forum. Whenever an incident of this magnitude occurs, the least you can do is to find out the reason. Irrespective of what you think, there is always a reasonable reason behind every action. A kid was kidnapped in Bisau and was traced to Nigerians. Dont forget that we are the kidnaping kings of Africa. The kidnappers we chased out of Nigeria obviously migrated somewhere else. What do you think they do werever they ran to? Evangelism right? I dont blame the Bisau people. It is better they start fighting before its too late. Thanks my brother... Nairalainders are so sentimental. I just knew Nigerians will go and ply their kidnapping trade in diaspora someday... |
Yorubest: This is seriousI think it is not right to become a tribal fighter or mocker here on nairaland. I am a Yoruba man and I have seen many Igbo tribalists post some ignoble and insultive comments on nairaland. However, that doesnt make me wanna fight back because I know better. It is also not to say that Yoruba guys here don't do similar things against the Igbos. Having said that, I think it would be more honourable to use your post to promote Yoruba culture and what Yoruba stands for, rather than using your comment to generate animousity or mockery on nairaland. Just honest opinion of mine. Thanks brother. |
Jobless bigots have turned this post to tribal field. I hope the Igbo and Yoruba young tribalists here can grow up. Must you show how jobless or empty your brain is? Spend your time here to put in posts and comments of significant value to the readers. Your essence of being created is to be a blessing to others. If you have found it difficult to influence the neighbours on your street postively, why can't you simply use the little opportunity here to create value that will count for you and bless others. Grow up folks... |
Information reaching me confirmed the police officer has been arrested this morning. My fear is that they will only transfer him to one remote location... and he won't be prosecuted... |
i have been silent on this matter but i am really pissed at the way the igbo bigots picked this matter up. in 2011, the same relocation was done. the casualties then were mainly from Oyo, Sokoto, Osun. Many igbo guys on nairaland then laughed and even insulted yorubas. Some said, yorubas are fast becoming almajiris. I am not making any unfounded allegations. check out the comments on this tread https://www.nairaland.com/665960/lagos-ejects-deport-over-3000 and u will agree with me, that those crying foul now are just bigots... and I promise you, they will withdraw the case. Very funny people always crying foul... |

Sincere 9gerian: I just saw a thread that reported the deportation of another 70 Nigerians by the Lagos State Government. You are being foolish and sentimental... When Lagos State deported northern beggers and some from other South West States two years ago, why did u shut your mouth! Rubbish! You biggot! |
omar22: When You Marry An Illiterate Woman as a Wife, You Make Stupid Decisions Like Jonathan – Wole SoyinkaWhy do you guys try to make a fool of the Prof? Instead of you to bring out your point and back it up with data. You want it to look like its Prof Soyinka that wrote it. Even though I agree with some of the content of your write-up, I am very sure that Prof Wole Soyinka didnt write this piece. It is a curse to lie against your elders. Where is the source? |
