Guy na hostel u wan go study abi na book.... Firstly, no federal university can boast of a five star hostel even though they provide some how good education compared to their sister universities . therefore, you have to trade between good education /competitive one at that with bad hostels not maintained for ages vice versa....
I rep uniben, men u won't ask me how my hostel is, cos hall 3 that I stay now we currently have 8 legal students and 10 squatters.. U can't ask me for pictures because u won't eat in next three weeks if o upload it... But if u can then mention me I will glad do it. |

Crime › Re: My Dad Wrongly Detained: Please........ I Need Your Humble Advice About My Dad by lawflec(m): 10:40am On Mar 18, 2016 |
Your story is haphazardly written... There re several issues that you ve mumbled up.. Firstly has your dad being charged to court.. Secondly, do you have a lawyer handling the case... If the above presumptions are correct the your case is not false imprisonment.. If he has been charged to court without a lawyer then the state MUST provide you with a counsel to represent you properly... And if you already have one then no need to open a thread, the matter having being sub judiced
If your dad has not been charged to court, you can do NOTHING without a lawyer who wil help secure a bail for him. Clearly, your dad's issue is not really wether he committed the alleged crime but merely one of stepping on toes as u earlier stated.. To grant him bail would take stringent conditions being a felony.. It is not a bailable offence but one may be secured if the circumstances of the case demands for one. You can equally secure compensation under the tortuous heading of false imprisonment if he is released or joined with malicious prosecution if he's been charged.. Our investigation and law enforcers are merely oppressors of the masses.. The longer he stays in prison the higher your damages. But of course he who comes to equity must come with a clean hand. |

Politics › Re: Gender Equality Bill Will Be Re-presented – Saraki by lawflec(m): 11:55am On Mar 17, 2016 |
The bill was entitled, “A bill for an Act to Incorporate and enforce certain provisions of the United Nations Convention on the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women, the Protocol of the African Charter on Human and People’s Rights on the rights of women in Africa, and other matters connected therewith, 2016 (SB. 116).
/quote]
Both senator Olujimi and the entire senators are playing with our common intelligence.. The purported bill wil do less to the political, social and cultural equality demanded by women. Firstly, the said bill was merely to incorporate and Enfore certain provision of UNCEDAW AND ACHPR whose whole provisions are already enforceable in nigeria by virtue of its ratification and domestication. What is the essence of passing a bill to enforce an already enforceable law. That would be uncessary duplication. Why would the senate not pass an entire bill SOLEY on strict abhorrence of certain cultural segregating custom like women not climbing trees in Ibo land, women not being able to be an Oba of Benin or in other tribes nd Kingdoms, Women not owning land in Igboland etc..... The senate should pass a bill that abrogates these repugnant customs and not one to enforce an already enforceable one. |
Politics › Re: Kogi Tribunal Discourse: Yahaya Bello Is Technically Out by lawflec(m): 12:35pm On Mar 16, 2016 |
You had a very bad conclusion and illogical position of the law... Firstly, the first election was contested keenly by Wada and the APC candidate now deceased... The logical thing would have been to declare Faleke the winner, however, the inconclusiveness of the election voided such proposition. Therefore, the rerun election qualifies only the candidates that participated in the first election as the only valid candidate to re contest... Faleke having inherited the votes of his late boss ought to have flown the ticket of APC, running against the PDP Wada... Apc missed the point by nominating Yahaya Bello. However, that would NEVER give Wada the baton.. The rerun is merely voided by the fact that Yahaya Bello was not a qualified person to run.. The votes casted for Yahaya is held in trust for APC to be inherited by Faleke and not the other way round. |
Education › Re: Can You Detect Who Killed This Lady by lawflec(op): 1:07pm On Mar 14, 2016 |
TONYE001: Murder.
CLUES:
1. If she had shot herself, the gun and cigarette stick would have fallen off her hands; a shot to the head (brain) would make her lose control over her skeletal muscles IRRESPECTIVE OF THE SITE OF BULLET ENTRY AND EXIT. I'll explain further: If the bullet went through her motor (skeletal muscle) control centres, apparently she would lose control over her limbs (hands inclusive), and other skeletal muscles. If the bullet went through any other part of her brain, the shock of the assault would cause her to fling whatever item she has in her hands. Lastly, if it were suicide, it means that the range would be small (the nozzle of the pistol may just be some few centimeters away from her head). Due to the momentum of the bullet (which is proportional to impulse), their would have been a "tissue splatter"...and she would still lose control over her hands...in all, if it were suicide, her hands would probably be spread open,
2. Let's look at her lying pattern. Her head is in the direction of the blood splatter on the wall. The "superficial information" this image is trying to pass is that, this lady killed herself. If she did, considering the blood on the wall, one may easily conclude that she shot herself standing next to the wall...probably taking a last look at her image in the mirror. If this is the case, she would have fallen in such a way that her head would lay in a direction OPPOSITE to the blood splatter...or in any other direction BUT NOT TOWARDS the blood... Thus, there is absolutely NO WAY she would shoot herself and lie in the manner she is,
3. Let's look at the slipper next to her. Look at the manner in which it lies...it suggests struggle; she may have been struggling with her killer,
4. What about the stool? Here are the possible scenarios from this: A. Why is the stool fallen? Let's assume she shot herself while she sat on the stool. From Newton's Second Law of Motion, she would fall rightwards (she must have held the gun with her right hand) and as shown in the picture, the stool would fall in the same direction. If this is the case, the "blood splash diameter" would be larger since the distance between the position of the stool and wall is fairly large. There would have been some blood on the table, floor, on a larger part of the wall, etc.....but this isn't the case. The blood stain on the wall was "localized"..just a bit of the mirror was stained. This wall-only splash suggests that she either shot herself standing next to the wall OR she was killed and the splash was "made" by Mr. Murderer.
B. At the other hand, can we ask why that stool is fallen? Just like the slipper, it suggests that there was some kind of struggle since it is now obvious that she didn't shoot herself sitting on the stool.
WHAT SHOULD BE DONE:
1. Statements should be gotten from neighbours...and any other person that may be at the scene the time the crime was committed. I'm of the opinion that this crime was committed some 3-5 minutes before the time the picture was taken. This is true because, as we can all see, the blood on the wall still looks bright red. It is still in its liquid form. We can all see the blood flowing downwards to the call of gravity. In other words, it hasn't clotted. When blood clots, due to the changes that occur at the level of the plasma proteins, its density increases as it tends towards a "semi-solid" state. This actually happens within seconds from the time blood leaves the body.
2. The waste bin should be probed. The "suicide note" and the pen next to it should be subjected to fingerprint analysis.
3. Shoe marks should be looked out for...marks other than hers.
4. Her recent phone call records should be retrieved from her service provider.
5. A killer would be in a hurry to leave the crime scene. I can imagine him toss his gloves (if he had any on) somewhere close...say in a bush, waste-bin...anywhere..but close. The area should be combed..
The murderer can be caught. perfect analysis but is too scientific than evidential.. You re a detective guru. |

IamAtribalist:
She killed herself (a shot to the head) with the gun in her hand don't you consider that most person would never shot themselves while sitting... She probably died while sitting on the stool and when shot she fell through the windows and the blood splashed on the door post... She would not have killed herself while sitting.... |
Education › Re: Can You Detect Who Killed This Lady by lawflec(op): 1:00pm On Mar 14, 2016 |
Roon9: her shooting herself is totally out of d question because.....
1. the gun n cigar would have fallen off 2. the blood on the wall clearly shows that the shot came from her right side judging by that fact u would expect her to fall towards the mirror n not away from it.... I.e her legs should be facing the other side. agent Roon! Don't you think the note on the table is quiet relevant..... Could it not be a suicide death note.....yiu have wonderful detective skills. |
