posdream: My CO explained that my fund wasn't enough because I added my dependent to my application now she requires that if I add them to my application or not I have to have like 13M in my sponsor account. That's the reason for refusal.

If I want to reapply I need like 13M in my sponsor account.
Thanks
So sorry dear but i seriously wonder what you were thinking.... You really neglected the laid down rule on your checklist. Better luck next time and yes, you can apply again as soon as you meet the above stated requirement and graciously you don't have to do medicals again.

zoe iyke: @ kmontee and chubi4show and all that hav gone through SVP please were u askd to provide a bank statement or did u provide a bank statement? I am actually heading to TAFE albany by february, hav paid my fees but I intend asking them for a refund because I don't want to risk a visa refusal.
Because have been strugglin for a while now to get a VERY good bank statement, and after learning of the reasons for posdreams refusal and d amount she provided as evidence of living xpenses I felt my chances are rlly rlly slim.
I intend applyin to a school participatin in SVP by january if I dnt need a bank statement
Fear factor... i wonder what you were doing all this while... I have already given you all the advice you need on BBM... Thank God posdream made the reason for her refusal clearer...

I had a lot of problem trying to log onto this site for 2 days now.... @justwise, i hope you take care of it.

Hi guys,
One lovely thing about this thread is that people always stand out to keep it going.... bravo to you all.
I am really enjoying Aussie, i can move around now on my own, probably will start driving soon. Used my ATM here today and it worked perfectly, made me regret doing exchange at the airport at the rate of 170. I don't think newcomers need to exchange money before coming here, just activate your internet banking and you are done. I have already opened an account here too. Goodluck to people waiting for their grant Esp Chubi4show, Largo etc

SQUARE JP: hello guys pls i need your counsel.
i have some laptop games on my hard drive. i bought some games myself, while most were given to me by friends.
Is it advisable to bring this items with me into Sydney. I also have lots of educational e-books.
Will my device be searched?
I don't think it have to do with your games and E-book.... you have something more to hid but don't worry they don't care about your laptop.....

kmontee: feb bro!! wakanow even offered it cheaper at 289k but my mind just accepted to go straight to emirates office
Feb? Your ticket is expensive then since you booked way ahead of time..
TravelRe: General Australian Visa Enquiries by lawland: 7:38pm On Nov 19, 2013
kmontee: booked through website emirates.com. went to their office in V.I but they refused cash and redirected me to First Bank

kmontee: @ UKBtech where n how can I get an affordable accomodation in melbourne cos Im trying to plan ahead of time.

Planning to fly emirates and booking through wakanow today or tomorow. Any info about wakanow before i proceed.
The problem with wakanow is that they don't book one way ticket for student first timers. They will ask you to book 2 ways. Book directly with Emirates naa...

chookudi: Thank you very much..Please for those that have gone, which airlines did u go with??Etihad and Emirates I guess...Did you book personally or thru and agent??
When do you intend traveling? You can use Emirates or Etihad though I prefer the former, guess book online and pay in any first bank if you want to pay in cash and Citibank if you want to do money transfer. Good luck. I am leaving on 20th.
TravelRe: General Australian Visa Enquiries by lawland: 9:54pm On Nov 15, 2013
chookudi: Okay I'll gladly share my experience...just over 7yrs ago,I was diagnosed with pulmonary TB(apparently my room mate in school infected me) and underwent treatment successfully for abt 8months..TB is a deadly disease bt definitely curable if u adhere strictly to treatment. So I was cured. However it always leaves a scar on ur lungs visible in Xray films. Australia is a country that takes TB with all seriousness. Anyway I was scheduled to resume schl March 4 dis year (after I put in an application in January)bt cuz of dis my health issue, I culdnt. After d regular medicals, I was asked to undergo further sputum culture(arnd May) and xray to confirm my TB was actually old and healed and not active. After this I was asked to repeat d xray again (not before August 21) and did dis in 1st week of september. Was asked to do another Xray abt a month later(in 2nd week of october) and @ this point I was becoming frustrated cuz I knew I had no issues any longer. I vowed this would be my last Xray and I wasn't going to endanger my health to further Xrays. From the last mail sent to me, I guessed it was going to be the last. About a week ago, I got a mail telling me to sign a health undertaking that I was gonna cooperate with them when I get there and undergo check ups and xrays if they deemed it necessary. I signed and submitted this form on tuesday and today, I have obtained my Visa...*smiles*
Congrats indeed...

SQUARE JP: Thanks Lawland, also I was given two options ,to choose the date that coincides with my OSHC or extend my OSHC and choose March, i choose March but later changed my mind and choose the former, I apologized for the confusion. Do you think the CO will be angry and delay the grant?
Your CO gave you an option and you choose one, I don't think they work with emotions so getting angry is out of it. But I wonder why you didn't chose to extend.
TravelRe: General Australian Visa Enquiries by lawland: 4:20pm On Nov 15, 2013
posdream: Well he said with xray is 80,200 I don't have anyone @ abuja. I might just submit my applicatn and do medical before d week runs out.
Ok then... Good luck.
TravelRe: General Australian Visa Enquiries by lawland: 4:17pm On Nov 15, 2013
SQUARE JP: Hello ,pls i have a question, if one is told to extend Oshc so the visa can be granted up until march of the following year, does this mean the visa is almost ready ?
My guess is that your visa is almost 90% ready.. Goodluck
TravelRe: General Australian Visa Enquiries by lawland: 3:12pm On Nov 15, 2013
posdream: Yes Thanks, he said normal is 60,200 and anyone who will be working in an hosp is 80,200. When I called Abuja, they said normal is 30k and hosp ppl is 40k see huge difference o.
Mehn! It doesn't end there posdream, you still have to pay #7000 for X-ray at another clinic. If you have someone in Abj, go there and do it jooor..
