Send them a mail using your date of birth, passport and ref no requesting for acknowledgement of your application. You might get lucky and get your visa the next day.

I don get alert, God win. I got my grant for 190 visa yesterday. Thanks to God and good people on this thread. Below are my timeline and other details to serve as guide to others:

7-Feb-2015 Took the IELTS test N35,000
21-Feb-2015 IELTS result out (7, 7.5, 7.5,
Applied for transcripts and arranged all docs N20,000
17-Mar-2015 Applied to ICAA for skills and experience assessment A$550 (N93,495.28)
(Nominated occupation: Management Accountant)
8-May-2015 Positive assessment result, but about 6 years experience was cut to less than 2 years.
8-May-2015 Was short of 5 points because I couldn't claim points for work experience, therefore opted for 190. Lodged my EOI (selected NSW)
15-May-2015 Received invite from NSW to apply for nomination.
19-May-2015 Applied for NSW nomination via email A$300 (N49,628.94)
12-June-2015 Collected my PCC N,5000
15-June-2015 Received NSW nomination and invite to apply for 190 visa
16-June-2015 Lodged my application for visa A$3520 (N568,906.35)
1-July-2015 Concluded all Medicals including Polio certificate N45,000
5-August-2015 Received direct visa grant without contact from CO
12-June-2016 Must enter Australia before this date

The whole process took me about 7 months and cost about N817,030.57

Next step for me is to try to get a job before I land Oz (God help me). Plan to travel Jan/Feb next year.

Well, it depends on when you plan to use it, if you not applying for PR within the next 24months, don't waste the money...

You can start the process now and no, you can't legally work until your course starts...

Well, i don't know where to start in answering your questions.
From my little knowledge, no Tafe offers Hair dressing to international students and even if there is, getting a student visa will be another hurdle as you might not be able to statisfy GTE.
As for post study visa, you can only be eligible for graduate visa (graduate stream) if you study 2 years in Australia and your occupation is on the SOL not CSOL.
Maybe if you can elaborate on why you choose Hair dressing, i can be able to offer more advice on your questions. I am currently studying at Tafe here and will be graduating this December.

I have been through dis thread I having tried to see if I qualify to work, I noticed Australia wants who ever wants to work there to have experience which mz sister does not have as she is even yet to serve... I have advised her to maybe try to go to australia through skul of Nursing.. Bt having gone through the thread, I have not seen anything pertaining to dt....
So I wana know if it is possible to enrol in a school of Nursing in australia and if processing it is same as processing for other study options such as msc and Bsc.... Thank you guys

I hope if I now apply to school under SVPs and having been refuse a student visa under AL3 on SOA grounds, My case officer at DIBP @ the Australian high commission won't think I just want to use the SVPs thing to escape into Australia.

Need experience Niders to please do justice to my question.

Exactly my concern.... This people keep records and they always ask if you have been denied visa before. I suggest you make arrangement for SOA ( not necessarily your relative) then apply and start praying.

Having Nigerian passport doesn't mean you are in Nigeria.. Did you tell them in your letter that you are still in Nigeria and got no visa? I doubt cos they won't be asking for permit if you did.

I think the companies believe you are a permanent residence in their country. They wouldn't ask for it if they know you are in Nigeria and have not gotten PR. Beware of scam though...

I have the Mail from the the two Companies (one from Australia and the other from Newzealand) to scan/send my Work Permit;in my inbox. The one from Australia is a Education Institute and the other is a Medical Hospitality Sector.They both told me to send/scan my Permit.Help out Plz.Thanks@ Malkinburg Kakazee Aduktus Preacher and all Please advice on how to go about it
