What is Olabisi Onabanjo University ...
Is it a Section 1 or 2 or 3.

What does the section it belongs to mean?
It shows how our naija qualifications compares to AQF.

The University is a Section 2 university. That means you need a 5 years degree to get AQF degree.

I now have access to Nigeria Education profile... Had to pay $50 for it. Well, Unizik is section 2 university.

I can advise what your qualification is equivalent to if anyone needs the service.

Did your CO state the reason why the letter was rejected?
Kempguy47:
For migrating partner, there are two cases;
1. If you want to claim points from your partner then the migrating partner will require proficient English ( band 6 in each module of IELTS or 50 points in PTE in addition to positive education/skills accessmeant.
2. If you do not intend to claim points from your migrating partner, then the partner require proof of functional English. ( 4.5 in IELTS, 30 points in PTE. A letter from the university stating that the course was taught in English language in addition to academic transcript might be sufficient but this is solely at the discretion of the case officer. In my case, it was rejected and my partner had to take PTE hence it's always safer to take English exams to avoid unnecessary time wasting)
TravelRe: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by lawland: 4:44pm On May 05, 2017
You don't get it mate, the person is not claiming partners point. Its just an evidence of functional English for migrating dependent older than 18yrs. i am actually looking for comments from people that have gone through it. Thanks for your reply anyway
Alphadoor:
Partner should take PTE (50 band) or IELTS 6 (band). competent english is what is required.
Academic transcipt or certificate is not applicable
TravelRe: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by lawland: 3:45pm On May 05, 2017
Hi all,
Just a quick question, Has anyone from Nigeria been asked to provide evidence of functional English for their migrating partner? If yes, was his or academic certificate and transcript enough or did immigration request for letter from the school?

She won't go tru immigration except she doesn't have the connecting flight ticket which am sure she has....no rechecking watsoever, I booked 3days b4 travel for 1054$ with tripsta.Com via Skyscanner.com, southafrica airways took me to southy and Singapore airline to Singapore and later to perthave on anode Singapore airline....I didnt see my baggage all tru till I got to perth. Once she reaches s.a, let her not go downstairs where most people are going atall...she will see a sign for international transfer...it's a quite path up stairs....let her go through then she will see different airlines desk at the far end of that path of international transfer...she can now walk to the airline desk of her next flight to check in and would be given another boarding pass...she would then give or show them her baggage ticket so if it's not already transfered to their flight, they will help her go claim it and put it on board.
Thanks alot JohnHadey, i still have alot of questions to ask though, pls can i send you a PM? How did you deal with the 8hrs layover at South Africa? Did any of the airlines provide you with accommodation?

Are you in Nigeria?

If yes, when are you leaving?

Your question, I think if you are not passing through immigration, you don't need a transit visa. You can confirm on Google.
Hello Bellong, am not in Nigeria. My wife is coming here and i am looking for best possible option as airlines are charging more that $2000 for one way flight. The problem is that since its a multiple airline ticket, she needs to recheck in her luggage at south Africa which i think means she is gonna be going through immigration
TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by lawland: 11:07am On Jul 28, 2016
Do you need a transit visa in South Africa to board connecting flight to Australia. For example, you used South Africa airways to South Africa but need to board Singapore Airways to Australia and rechecking is needed. Anyone with experience?

Hello my E-people, pls can one take indomie, goldernmore, dry pomo and the Red big crayfish, I dnt know if all these things are allowed. Is for my little boy. Also will they allow some cooked jollof rice to be carried in the plane? Is going to be a 2days jounery and my boy is a pick-food habit type. I am just worried.

Lastly, I want to talk all his drugs along, will doctors prescription okay to show at d checking point?

I was told one has to declare all they have at d point of entry.

Pls house come to my rescue, lawland, Bellong, NNBB.., scrollmeout, pop.. and all
I will appreciate ur reply.
You don't need to bring Noodles cos you can easily get them here and that includes indomie. As for Crayfish and pomo, I have seen people fail and have seen other successfully cross with it, it all boils down to packaging. Make sure you declare it, they can only take it away if they don't accept it.
Your last question is at the airline discretion.

Good morning All pls I have been following for some time now though a bit confused on some issues and I will need your advice. My family and i want to apply for Canada PR until I saw this thread and I understand that processing Australia PR is much easier. I also noticed concentration is mostly on education, Engineering, I.T my questions are
1. Should we process Australia PR instead of Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program?

2. My husband is the main applicant and has an MBA and he is an accountant by profession. Are there good opportunities for accountants in Australia?

3. Pls if we want to process both together can we use the same ielts and Education Credentials Evaluation for both?

4.pls can I have detail of Australia requirement for PR processing. Pls suggest detailed sites I can visit

Pls help me out, my kids must grow up in a good place of living. I'm going crazy my 7wks old baby can't sleep no light, no fuel.
Thanks for prompt response
1. I think you should process both together if your husband meets the requirements, Accounting in Australia I believe have reached its occupation ceiling and is considered in pro rata bases.
2. There is a strong competition here for accounting, but Australia is land of opportunities, the most important thing is getting here.
3. You can use the same ielts if it meets the specified requirement but he will do another skill assessment with his assessment body.
4. www.border.gov.au and www.skillselect.gov.au you can also get more information if you read up this thread.

NNBB2012:
Yes, it is 4years in Australia which is most times equivalent to 5years overseas except if you graduated from countries that have accord with them. I will advise you should use Professional Engineers template. They might ask you to put it in Engineering Technologist template rather than given you negative outcome. I know two different Engineers; one Mechanical (Unilag) and the other Chemical Engineer (Uni Ben)that were given Engineering Technologist. They applied for Professional Engineer Engineer but were given that.
@NNBB, do you have any idea why they were given Engineering technologist, cos I have seen people from same school getting professional engineering.

oh my gosh and I have already submitted my visa application.. Do u have any sample of career episode. See my data
B. Eng= 15pts

27yrs=30pts
Where else can I raise more points coz my ielts is very poor, just 6.5. Is PTE less tough? Pls Bro reply me
English language proficiency is your surest bet... I didn't take PTE so I wouldn't know.

Bro, so u mean It's not a must that someone should have a work experience before s/he can get PR.. The main reason why am going through study route is coz I don't have work experience in Engineering but I studied chemical engineering.
You don't need work experience to get a PR as long as you can fetch 60 points without it and your assessment body doesn't require it. You don't necessarily need work experience to get positive assessment from Engineers Australia as long as you can write your 3 career episode from your school projects and industrial training. ..

Thanks for your response. For the assessment, is it only the Bsc that I should assess? Read somewhere on the thread that post-experience qualifications do not really count. Is this true?

I have Bsc, ACIB (Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers) and MBA. I have 9 years work experience but acquired the MBA after about 4 years of work experience. The ACIB was acquired before I started working.

Would appreciate your response.

Looping: NNBB2012, bellong, scrollmeout, Kunlay11, Bosslady, Bellong, Manweysabi, lawland, other gurus in the house
I do rather say that pre qualification experience doesn't count, if you are confident that your Bsc will sail through and you have enough evidence to support your 4 yrs work experience, then assess your Bsc afterall, Msc and Bsc are same 15points.

@ada4all ur Oshc is part of your visa requirment so I don't think that is possible

@oudodi you have to enter aussy when ur oshc start that means you can't enter Aussy until the date on ur OSHC certificate.

Let more family in the house answer this but I am sure this is part of the rules as far as I know.
I actually entered Australia before my OSHC commenced and it wasn't an issue but that was in 2013. Btw, your OSHC starts on your school resumption date, and its practically impossible to travel on that date as you have orientation to attend.
