Although a similar thread had been created fews days ago with Ambode leading.
But now, with just less than 24 hours to the final saga, many things have happened.

Many have changed their mind in favour of Agbaje or Ambode for one reason or the other.

We can never underestimate the power Nairaland when it comes to using it to analyse which candidate will win, just as we witnessed in the recently concluded election between GEJ and GMB.

So let's have a FINAL VOTING on the two leading contestants.

PoliticsRe: Ifeanyi Ubah's Mocked Coffin Carried By Ihiala People Over Mass Rigging by Laycan(m): 11:39am On Apr 08, 2015
ayokellany:
The people of Ihiala Local Government of Anambra State converged at Dr Ernest Obiejesi’s Estate yesterday to show their solidarity for him on the assault meted on him on 28th March by the chieftains of PDP who stormed Ihiala Local Government in a bravado style to cart away the election result sheets.

To demonstrate their unflinching support for a man, who ha sdone more than could be counted for his community, the youths and the elderly swarming all over available acre of space in the massive estate, carried aloof a casket, clearly inscribed, Ifeanyi Ubah is dead!

Chief Obiejesi; who could not hold back his emotions and show of love by his people had these to say-:

“We must allow the truth; we must always do what is right, we must make sure that our votes count. We must make sure that anybody we want to represent us will be the one to represent us.”

“All these people going round to steal votes, we will not allow that to happen again, please, all the people and youths threatening fire and brimstone, those planning to go and retaliate, i plead with you all to sheath your swords, do not take laws into your hands, because the long arms of the law will catch up with all those who had sworn to subvert your wishes”.

“My two policemen; one was shot at on his knee while the other on the abdomen and both are still lying in the hospital…we have released all those held in Awka, and all the bikes seized, we will repair anyone that was damaged and if possible, buy new ones.”

“I will always stand on the truth, I will always speak the truth, I will make sure that the right things are done; if I had not come out that day, they would have rewritten all the results and all your toils would be in vain”.

The people of Ihiala Local Government had in trying to express their anger, carried a mock coffin with an inscription “Ifeanyi Ubah is dead” round the streets of Ihiala chanting war songs with palm fronts.

Ubah, who took election rigging to another bizarre level, had on March 29, gone to the Ihiala collation centre to assault Obi Jackson, shot and wounded his two police aides, pelted Obi Jackson’s bulletproof vehicle with bullets in order to cart away election results for falsification.

barcanista:
I have read this Oba/Igbo squabbles and I feel so irritated that the revered royal stool is being denigrated. What Kabiyesi Akiolu said was inappriopriate and uncalled for but we shouldn't allow that to be a platform to insult the Oba. If not for his age but for the seat he occupies. No catholic will be happy to see the Pope insulted neither will a Bini son smile when Oba of Benin is abused. We should try to refrain ourselves from causing more damage. Open confrontation is not the best way to douse the situation.

Vote Nyesome Wike(Rivers)
Vote Captain Iheanacho(Imo/APGA)

PoliticsRe: Boko Haram Fighters Disguise As Preachers, Kill 24 by Laycan(m): 8:03pm On Apr 07, 2015
AbuuUsaamah:
Suspected members of the Boko Haram sect have attacked Kwajafa village in Borno State killing 24 persons and injuring over a dozen others, a security source has revealed.

They also set the village mosque on fire.

The source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the insurgents stormed the village on Sunday evening.

He said, “The insurgents who rode to the town in Volkswagen Golf cars on Sunday evening, told the villagers that they were there to preach. They however opened fire on the people as soon as they gathered an appreciable number of the villagers in the village square.”

He lamented that some of the residents who were in a mosque at the time of the attack were not spared as the insurgents set them ablaze.

He said mostly killed were those who could not immediately decipher that the disguised preachers were Boko Haram members on a deadly mission.

A nurse at the General Hospital, Biu, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said some injured persons were brought to the hospital from Kwajafa, some 35 kilometres away for treatment.

The medical worker added that some of the injured persons were treated in other health facilities in Kwajafa.

It will be recalled that Kwajafa, which is about 220 kilometres from Maiduguri, has witnessed two major Boko Haram attacks in the past.

Investigations revealed that past attacks forced people to flee the village but some of them returned after peace returned to the community.

Meanwhile, the Borno State Accountant-General, Hajiya Mairo Bunu, on Monday appealed to donor agencies to mobilise support for the rehabilitation of victims of Boko Haram insurgency in the state.

Bunu made the appeal when she presented some relief materials to Governor Kashim Shettima for the victims.

She said the Boko Haram insurgency had resulted in mass destruction of infrastructure which might be difficult to rebuild without the support of the international community.

PoliticsRe: PDP Will Win Gubernatorial Poll In 24 States – Mu’azu by Laycan(m): 7:49pm On Apr 05, 2015
bvibesblogger:
Barely a week after conceding to defeat to the opposition party in the March 28 presidential elections, the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Adamu Mu’azu has redesigned and schemed out the 24 states it will secure victory in Saturday’s, April 11, 2015 governorship elections.

Mu’azu, in a statement on Saturday urged the party’s governorship candidates to make sure the party wins in at least 24 states.

The PDP Chairman listed the states to be cleared by the PDP to comprise, Lagos, Imo and Rivers States, in addition to the 21 states currently controlled by the PDP namely: Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu, Adamawa, Taraba, Bauchi, Gombe, Benue, Plateau, Niger, Kogi, Jigawa, Katsina, Kebbi, Kaduna, Ekiti and Ondo.

Mu’azu, who described PDP’s candidates as “first class materials”, pointed out that the victory of PDP candidates at the elections would return the party to its winning ways.

“I urge the PDP faithful to pick up the pieces and ensure that we return quickly to our old winning ways. There should be no room for voter apathy that was a major factor to our losing the presidential election. While our opponents were savouring their famous victory, we should out flank them and corner at least two thirds of the states of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This is not an impossible target if we return to our elements with immediate effect. We have done it before and we can do it again. Nothing will be sweeter than PDP taking Lagos, our own Rivers State and Imo. Our candidates in these states are first class material who have fully penetrated the political structures of those states and are set to win,” he said.

“The reason is simple. Our party is used to bouncing back whenever we experience a setback. The key to winning the remaining election is heavy turnout and voting the PDP all the way. There should be no tactical voting. Be consistent in your support for the party. What we experienced in the presidential election is merely a hiccup which we must cast out in the gubernatorial polls. All PDP supporters must remember their pedigree, our track record and history of the party and the source of our electoral feats of the last sixteen years. We are the reason that democracy has taken root in Nigeria since 1999. This is something every member of our great party should be very proud of. We have only lost a battle but the war to bring our country to the highest level of democratic governance is still to be won or lost,” Mu’azu said.
