Let there be PEACE

I'm sure most of the people talking back and forth here are older than me, but right now I feel we should all mature up and let it slide.
Two wrongs doesn't make a right... Please I beg on behalf of everyone offended.

Thank you and God bless.

God bless Nigeria. God bless America.

I laugh when you toy with Oyinbo's record... They have record with everything. US banned us for not keeping record... I wish you all the best.

It's very possible the UK embassy does such mistake. This has happened to me. They quoted me wrong on with my bank statement... I don't use Wema bank and they made a mistake tagging me using that bank. If your docs are genuine, I would advice you to reapply immediately and bring to their notice all the mistake they made on your application.

If you can't do it yourself, you can sit next to him to fill the forms and watch him fill your application.

When it happened to me, I reapplied immediately and made them see all the mistakes. I got my VISA on the second attempt.

fascco:

I applied for visiting visa for a week, I did Biometrics on January 15.
I submitted 2 bank statements Gtbank (Person account) with closing balance of 2.9M and Fcmb (Business account) with closing balance of 900k
But UK denial me

They said I submit a first bank statement of account which I don't even have one

NOTE: An Agent apply for me and he said he submit correct documents

1....I'm just confused, is it possible for UK Embassy to make such mistake.
2.... Hope I doesn't affect my application in the future
3.... What did I need to do now

You should be able to complain about the mix up. It’s not what you signed up for. Was your name addressed on it ?

complaints@homeoffice.gov.uk and public.enquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk

greatyou:
Guru's in the house, i need your assistance. i was denied visa based on the information pasted below whereas everything stated there are not what i submitted for review. i filled the form myself and did self upload. Everything in this letter is Ghana (GHS) currency while the form i filled is Nigeria (NGR). i have not been to Ghana and do not have any business in Ghana.
Kindly advice on what to do because they said " there is no right of appeal or right to administrative review" .

Good day house.. Please if you know you can't do the visa application yourself, please make sure you use a registered travel agent. When filling forms, you need to be there when your forms are being filled online to know what was filled for you... Read through very well. Try to know what you're doing not to get things off the line... It might hurt you so bad. Don't forget you need to be truthful in every application.

Some agent can spoil career oh. Be careful

With all due respect.
Agreed.

But if I may ask, is UAE a third world war country compared to Nigeria ?

Leave story there... Nigeria will be great tho but think outside the box... When ?

We live in world where things are done super fast and the world has evolved so fast. I can remember when I was still young... what a computer looks like... what a phone looks like... Now embassy get fingerprint... Limited paper but everything is electronically communicated.

UAE gain independence 1971, Nigeria 1960

I don't know what to think of the elderly ones sef.

What do we have to show for ? Reproduction cos our population is increasing drastically... That's another joke for the decade. grin

If Nigeria is good, nobody will go overseas. Americans don't travel. Statistically, less than 5% of the population travels. So all of you saying, Nigerians are these and that... the best advice right here is that come home and setup a business here because we have the market already and don't work for the Oyinbos again. If I hear you come home.. grin All you do is social media gragra... You spoiling our names....story for the forefather who left through the badagry during the slave trade era. And they sold our fathers who might have built Nigeria to be like them cry

Don't forget the exchange rate oh... I have heard people who works with Oil company japa sef...
His Excellency GCFR M. Buhari goes to UK for medicals... So who are you then ? Let me burst your bubbles again, UK has a better healthcare system than US but because of the dual citizenship, people opted for US and Canada.

I have always said this. Please don't misuse your visa but if you want to do... All the best for you. I'm not in support PLEASE.

My advice, do what's best for you and be good. You will not live forever. Enjoy while it last. I come in peace.

Nigeria will be giant of Africa again... when our brothers and sister in diaspora comes back and denounce the other party undecided

micluv111:

I have been to those places you mentioned too and I know how it is.
Nigeria is a third world country and the country has been messed up right from independence.
I know this country will get it right one day just dont know how soon.

Long time I stopped putting blames on Nigeria, Nigeria is blessed.

Nigerians are the problem both locals and those in diaspora. Our dear nation will even be ashamed of its peoples

I have noticed Omobendel since 2016. He's always on point. I would love to meet you one day. His replies are well articulate and for intelligent humans, you will understand him. I'm proud of you sir. Cheers

OmoBendel24:

Okay sir, copied!

I got into Toronto a few days ago, on holidays, will be in the US for some time too from next week, come and see "saner climes" na. I just picked up my gadget now to update myself about home. I'm phased, annoying news everywhere. Amotekun, what about it? What happened in IMO today please? I just hope I'm able to see my kids through Secondary School before shipping them out of Nigeria to their "homes", I pray. I have put too much in Nigeria, it saddens me today. Government has never put bread directly on my table, an enabling environment created by them in time past deserves my appreciation today when I reason them side by side this current one.

I won't waste energy right now saying much, but I will just say you guys are the biggest problem of Nigeria, Buharists particularly! Yeah, Nigeria is messed up long ago, but Buhari is the greatest disservice done our dear nation. Nigeria's "turn-around-maintenance" after him will take decades. Kill and shelve that nonsense hope of a better Naija, only a miracle will make that happen, please....

Sorry about that... What I can tell you is that.... call the UKVI and know the status of your application. You can also track it online tho... You can also go to TLS to know if her passport is there already and there's a glitch in network that she didn't receive a pick email.

Hello, Goodmorning everyone. Please I kindly need your help. Im currently in UK for a Wedding and the bride is my very good friend but a bit sad at the moment. Her Dad and Mum both applied for Visa since Nov but her mum's passport has been held for more than 4 weeks with no reason.

Her wedding is next week and it saddens my heart to see her cry because her mum might not be available.

Please this is for those with genuine answers only. Its a serious matter please.

Anyone knows what we can do to fast track this? We have called severally and they kept on saying within 15days for a while now.

Please kindly help if you know anyone at UKVI or how to go about it.

[quote author=Ikky2020 post=85305474]@justwise. My fiancé is applying for a visiting visa in January to the Uk. He is a contractor and has a closing balance of 7+M in the business Acct, with over 2M in the personal Acct. He is applying for 6 months visiting as we plan to wed in May 2020.

Uploading docs might be a challenge tho. That will cost you 10K at TLS and make sure you don’t choose prime time appointment. 8am -12 am. Any prime time appointment is 40K extra. You can submit from 12:30am

Visa fees is about 46K
Supporting docs uploading is 10K
Sum of 56K

Then make sure you read this thread well to understand how you go about you application.

The major challenge anyone could face is scheduling appointment at TLS. Just take your time to understand it and read through the lines.

Please I’m having issues securing a valid hotel booking. I have always used bookings.com but rn it keeps telling me my card has been declined.

How can I book a valid hotel booking please ?
Travel / Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Lee310: 7:33am On Dec 23, 2019
Good morning house. Please I need to know how to go about this.

I plan on spending 5 days in Paris and 2 days in Amsterdam. Do I need to add the hotel bookings of both or I should just make one booking for my France alone and when my visa is out I can make other reservation.

Also my itinerary, should it include my trip to Amsterdam or I should just make it all France alone and add others when my visa is out.

Thank you.
Travel / Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by Lee310: 10:45am On Dec 21, 2019
That’s not true.

What’s structured in Nigeria?
Nothing. The system is not working. Think outside the box. All the Ogas at the top has someone outside to bring in customers to them and they make money off you. That’s how Nigeria is working. *In all sectors*

Nigeria is a country of man knows man. It’s a lawless country because 99.99999 % of its citizens are not law abiding.

The only reason for that is no one holds us accountable for anything we do.

Thanks so much for this response.

That's why I like this forum. Some really nasty people and some real human beings are here.

Paid ₦300k for 10 nights in Paris via Airbnb
Booked Seine River boat cruise (hoping this has nothing to do with the strike) for 26/12/19
Book Big Bus Tour hop on and hop off Bus(hoping this isn't going to be affected by the strike too) 25/12/19.

From Boxing day we might have to move to Brussels or Brugge or even Amsterdam.

Quite unfortunate.

Just that my wife wouldn't want to go alone. I have a court case that I need to attend to on Monday as defense counsel.

This life

Sorry please. I would love to know did you book and paid for all these when submitting your application or you paid after your visa has been issued ?

Tho I want to apply for a visa next month. I’m making reservations with hotel and tour guide.

What do you suggest ?

Please I have a question...
Between Heathrow and Gatwick airport..which is better to arrive at?
Because Heathrow now have a strict immigration rule with the IO and one may get deported by any simple mistake.
Does this apply to Gatwick airport too?
Thank you.

I have never been to Gatwick but I have a feeling they have the same memo on how to question tourists. People say Gatwick is not tough but it's far to where I'm headed in the UK so I fly through Heathrow. All I can say rn is that make sure you're yourself and be able to answer all question intelligently and be truthful.

Safe trip.

Hi.. please if they say the visa is fake, it is fake my dear. They have a database for all the visas they issue out and can crosscheck in a matter of seconds which they always do. They won’t lie on someone... when they can simply not allow you into their country and nothing will happen...

The visa is fake and the said person is on their radar right now and probably have 10years ban. The way developed countries works is so different and they will not say what they don’t know. They have back up at everytime.

Don’t be scared if you’ve not done anything bad.

You must be able to be defend yourself.

£100 - £200 is too small despite you holding your cards. It’s an international trip not local please.

Your contact details saved with funny names means nothing because they can’t tell you what to save contacts with. It’s your personal item but they can check your phones if they want to. If I save a friends name with funny words, border control will tell me to change the name. Lol funny you.

As said, hold enough cash with you cos buying tickets at heathrow is very expensive... I mean coaches ( National Express and MegaBus) £500 is OK

Have your prove of accommodation intact. No stories. Your return ticket too is important as well.

You will be questioned but be truthful. Have a valid reason when answering questions and don’t panic.

Be a good citizen of Nigeria.
All the best.

My best bet here is sit down and review your application very well before you reapply. If you want to reapply so soon, point out the mistakes in your cover letter. Don’t make it complicated because the ECO will picture it in their head. Go straight to the point and be truthful.
