Well said. I can relate too. I hold a first class in biochemistry and I have admission at the moment to USA for masters, but I am taking this job because age wise I am ripe to settle down and secondly, this job can still give me such opportunities. Any scholarship that does not have a visible sustainable future overseas should be reconsidered. Factor in age, job security, opportunity and make your choice wisely. Ibnbabes4ol: Alot of people might think this is unreasonable but my candid advice is, Go the NIS job, while at it, if u have intention of migrating to Europe or America, the Job will give u more insights and allow u laxity to decide. The sad reality which most of us aren't privileged to see is that it's not all Eldorado abroad, the majority of people who go to study abroad don't actually make it to the headlines, with your NIS job it's easier for u to get established, successful and make headlines and even enjoy life wella. Its all about the individual not the Job, take that NIS job, look around we have many people who studied in Europe and America and are back here with no "dream job" and another factor to consider is, life in Europe isn't really what a typical African wants, culture, family, lifestyles Religion, anyways I don't know the kind of person u r and it's your shot to call but las Las my advice be , take that NIS job. |

God bless you sir. Can you say anything about induction and training? The time it will start and all. Personally, I'm still rounding up a program in school. Others too are working, your information will help us greatly. Dannyxy: For many of you coming here to Abuja for the first time, let me advise or rather warn...
1) learn to always take car to your destination from the different parks, alongs should be avoided except necessary, you all know one chance, dem plenty here.
2) ladies, plenty fine guys dey here , and will will be will to give rides, be careful.
3) if you can afford, use bolts or uber to your destination.
4) immigration headquarters is at the Express of the lugbe Abuja airport road, so if anyone is deviating to any street, he is not taking you there, no shortcut, it's a straight major express road, abuja is a beautiful city, and has sign and location boards, take note of them, and take note of the location the arrow on the boards are pointing out to..
Lastly, the C.g and top members of the board will be at this documentation most of the times, there is a reason it's in Abuja, so be of the best behaviour, get yourself self very prepared, documents, and looks, may God help everyone.. |

Thank you sir.... Ignore every bitter or distasteful comments please. Dannyxy: I am not the c.g or secretary of the board, even they don't have full control of anything at the end of the day, I just give as authentic as dey come, and if there are changes, it's what it is...
No one is paying anybody for information, it's not a competition, I don't want anything from anybody, I am not seeking glory, I only drop because I want to, and help those who might want to plan ahead..
So I advise take any information with a pinch of salt, with anything government, a lot of factors come to play, so all the petty side comments are not necessary... |

Congrats man, you already won and I am so happy.... Don't allow any trouble at all to ever push you to contemplate suicide... God is aware of your condition, and I am certain He will send help your way... BigBrowser: Thank you all for your concern. Truth is, at times suicide might just seem the best solution whether right or wrong. Truth is, I'm genuinely contemplating suicide and have perfected 95% plans on how to go about it. After all, no one who died naturally or otherwise has come back to discourage others from dying.
A quick reminder. In March, I missed some first semester final year exams because I was jobless and couldn't pay school fees which is going to keep me longer than necessary. Then later I got a car on hire purchase. That car involved in serious accident last week (3 months into the agreement). Having narrowly escaped alive, but troubles coming thereafter has become unbearable for me. When you see a man weep and contemplate suicide, know that he has totally lost hope in life. |

Illiterates just sit down and open mouth and spit dusts because they have means to communicate. The freedom of speech shouldn't be equally shared, it should be apportioned according to the level of intelligence, pls keep quiet
Nairaland is filled with so many people like you whose senses aren't updated or even uploaded.
Over 90% of your people living in criminal custody and unbearable situations
What you guys known for; kidnapping, drug trafficking, blood money, human trafficking, piracy, fake drugs, counterfeiting, Yahoo , local 419, fake pastors, terrorism (ESN), prostitution, drug addicts, thugs , baby factory operators......... Etc.
Please Put your thoughts together and make your points unambiguous next time.
Your opinions lack honesty and thats why it doesn't count
A major problem the South has is how it underestimates the North. Their minders have led a majority of them to believe that the northerner is an unschooled slowpoke who only progresses through connections. Despite northerners that became billionaires by dint of hard work, intellectuals that have pushed the frontiers of scholarship, leaders that have provided impeccable administrations to great applause and politicians that rose like the colossus to dominate their environments, the average southerner still gets bamboozled – and envious – by the way the northerner dictates what goes where. But a pertinent question to ask is, why do people kick against federal character yet want a position zoned, rotated or surrendered to them? |
