He evidently took the selfie with the intention to expose them. It is a known fact that most men don’t take infidelity very well. So, a lot of people knew for a fact that he posted the selfie to humiliate his wife.

Igbere TV reports that the way he reacted somewhat indicates that she might have cheated on him before, maybe. Or, maybe he had been suspicious of their relationship all along.

Thirty-three years after it was rested, the longest ever running drama on Nigerian television The Village Headmaster is scheduled for a return in April.

Starring old and new faces, the reincarnated series will air on Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) network in collaboration with Wale Adenuga Productions.

A trailer uploaded on YouTube shows that Dejumo Lewis returns in his role as Oloja (King) of Oja.

Also returning are Ibidun Allison as Amebo, Dan Imoudu as Dagbolu, Dele Osawe as Teacher Fadele, Kate Adepegba (Folake), Lara Akinsola (Doyin) and Melville Obriango (Teacher Oghene).

Igbere TV reports that Yemi Shodimu who had a cameo role as a kid actor in the old series takes on a new and bigger role as Dr Lekan.

Joining the cast are Jide Kosoko as Chief Eleyinmi, a role formerly played by the late Oba Funso Adeolu.

Others new faces include Rachael Oniga, Tega Abaga, Jide Alabi, Mr Latin, Kristy Imanlihen, Rykardo Agbor, Ronke Oshodi-Oke, Mide Martins, Abubakar Garba and Omo Ibadan.

Chris Iheuwa takes on the role of Headmaster, which was played at different times in the past by Femi Robinson, Ted Mukoro and Justus Esiri.

Created by Ambassador Segun Olusola, The Village Headmaster started as a radio programme in 1958.

It ran as a TV series from 1968 until it was rested in 1988 on NTA.

A short-lived revival as The New Village Headmaster ended in 1991.

Speaking in a February 2013 interview with the Nigerian Tribune, Tunde Oloyede, who produced 364 episodes of the series, said: “Before the Ambassador (Olusola) died, we had been working on bringing back The Village Headmaster in three possible formats. On film, on stage, and back to television.”

Olusola died in June 2012 while Oloyede died in December 2017.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike says Nigerians are earnestly waiting for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to take over power at the federal level in order to enshrine good governance.

Governor Wike made the assertion at the inauguration of the 11.53 kilometers Agbonchai-Afam road, connecting Eleme and Oyigbo Local Government Areas and performed by the former Senate Majority leader, Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume on Wednesday.

The governor said Nigerians have increased their yearnings for good governance, improved economy and developmental projects that PDP has continued to provide in the states that it controls.

He stated that the hope of Nigeria depends on the Peoples Democratic Party.

"Eleme people, I want to sincerely thank you for the support that you've given to me and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Do not relent. Continue because the hope of this country depends on PDP.

He declared that the PDP is working in Rivers State and in other states that are controlled by PDP. He urged Senator Ndume and the APC to respect the wishes of Nigerians who are determined to return the PDP to power in 2023 to provide them dividends of democracy.

"To our special Guest of Honour (Ndume), he should not be angry because we are taking over from them. When they came, we didn't fight, they took over. Now, that Nigerians have decided to change them, let them also handover to us as quickly as possible without any fight."

The governor said he is satisfied to have fulfilled the campaign promise he made to Eleme people that he will reconstruct the once deplorable Eleme-Afam road. He said the completed road now serves as an alternative route to neighbouring states, Igbere TV reports.

Governor Wike, also stated that his administration has completely rebuilt the Government Secondary School in Onne Town with the one in Eteo reaching finishing level.

"Today, we are in Eleme commissioning Agbonchia (in Eleme)-Afam in Oyigbo Local Government Road. This road traverses two Local Government Areas. Nobody will say that we have not come to Rivers East Senatorial District to do anything.

"As I speak to you now, by the end of this month, we are coming back to Alesa Secondary School and Ascension High School. Those schools will be rebuild completely.

"And because you gave me a good, reliable and trusted person who is my Commissioner of Finance, there is this other road here that needs attention, I will reconstruct it."

Former senate majority leader, Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, who inaugurated the 11.53 kilometers long Eleme-Afam Road said he felt truly humbled to perform the task and be part of what Governor Wike is doing in his state.

Senator Ndume described governor Wike as a true nationalist who is an important voice in national affairs across parties, and always stands out as one who speaks the truth to power courageously.

"Governor Wike is my very good friend, a trusted leader, a very honest person. One thing we have in common is that, as a leader, you must stand out and speak the truth even if you're alone and Wike is known for that.

"There is new hope for the state and he is Wike. Now, Rivers is not only becoming a Garden City again but it is becoming a Golden City. May God continue to give you (Wike) the strength.

"And from today, know that you're a leader in this country. If you're not a friend and a nationalist, I will not be here, Fayemi will not be here and many other APC Governors.

"You're one of the true Nigerians that I ever know. And if we have people like you that speaks the truth to power, Nigeria would have been better off for all of us."

Speaking further, Senator Ndume commended Governor Wike for his feat in the fight against insecurity in Rivers State that has given the people the liberty to come out to participate in such event without fear.

"You don't know what you have until you lose it. What you're doing here, we will never try it in Borno State. You can't invite people like this and everybody, comfortably, listening to somebody speaking without looking around. So, we have to thank God.

"Honestly, let me say here that Nigeria is lucky to have not only Rivers State but Rivers people. South-South, particularly Rivers people are the great people of Nigeria. What you're giving to this country; if Rivers is not there, Nigeria will not be there."

Rivers State Commissioner of Works, Elloka Tasie-Amadi, said prior to this time the road was a nightmare replete with all the negatives that derive from such a situation. But, today it is something that brings joy and with it, the obvious tangible and psychological benefits that come with any good transportation access to any location or locality.

"This is an 11.53km long road project, 8.5m wide with 7km of drainage. It connects Eleme in Eleme LGA to Afam in Oyigbo LGA, a very good and useful road in the movement of farm produce and pursuit of local trade."

Publisher of Sahara Reporters Omoyele Sowore on Tuesday arrived at the Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Wuse Zone 2, Abuja in handcuffs.

Igbere TV reports that Chief Magistrate Mabel Segun-Bello is expected to hear Sowore’s bail application.

The former presidential candidate was on Monday arraigned alongside four others by the Federal Government on three charges of criminal conspiracy, unlawful assembly, and attempting to incite others.

The prosecution alleged that the defendants were arrested in Abuja on New Year eve with placards calling for a violent revolution against President Muhammadu Buhari.

Sowore and the others pleaded not guilty.

Osun State Government has reversed its ban on churches from holding cross-over services on December 31.

Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation Funke Egbemode stated this in a release on Tuesday.

The commissioner said the government’s sensitivity to the mood of the season has necessitated a review of its earlier position, Igbere TV reports.

Mrs Egbemode said, “The Government of the State of Osun has decided to allow cross over religious gatherings, But any organisation holding cross over service must note that they are expected to close the service early and everyone must be off the streets by 1:00am.

“Security operatives have been given the directive to enforce this guideline. Religious bodies and citizens are therefore advised to comply because we do not want anyone to spend the first day of the year in police custody.

“Also, the leadership of religious bodies must ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, which include accommodating only 50 percent capacity of their normal attendance, ensuring social distancing, use of nose mask or face fields by participants, avoidance of sharing materials and instruments and avoidance of any other action that can help the virus to spread.”

Dapo Ojora, second son of the boardroom guru Adekunle Ojora, has been buried in Lagos, Igbere TV reports.

The funeral service was held on Tuesday at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Lagos.

Dapo, fondly called Baba Polo and Dog Whisperer, died after a shooting incident at his Ikoyi, Lagos home.

His remains were ferried in a see-through hearse to the church where they were received by younger brother Adeyinka Ojora.

The service was coordinated by Very Rev. Adebola Ojofeitimi who was assisted by many other clergy men.

Proceedings began with the arrival of Dapo’s wife Patricia, their children, sister Toyin Saraki and her husband Senator Bukola Saraki which was immediately followed by the singing of the opening hymn ‘God Moves In A Mysterious Way.’

The soulful service witnessed a wondrous solo rendition of ‘Abide With Me’ by Joseph Oparamanuike after which came a sermon.

Tears rolled down when Dapo’s remains were lowered to the ground at the Vaults and Gardens, Ikoyi, Lagos.

Igbere TV gathered that he was buried in a vault just beside elder brother Adegboyega Ojora who died nine years ago.

The event was attended by members of the Ojora family, Saraki family, Peter Obi, Atedo Peterside, Bimbo Ogunbanjo, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, Mary Inegbese, Lady Maiden Ibru, the Akinkugbe family, Ade Laoye, Bayo Amusan, Lekan Bakare, representatives of Oba of Lagos and Oniru of Ireland.

The service of songs of socialite, Dapo Ojora, who died in his Lagos home last week, held in Lagos state on Thursday, December 17, Igbere TV reports.

Late Dapo allegedly shot himself in the head at his home in Ikoyi, Lagos state on Friday evening, December 11.

The service was attended by his family members and close friends.
