Hello all. I went to a popular diagnostic centre and paid for a set of tests. Almost 120k via bank transfer. I was not able to complete the tests due to their inefficiency (doctor not available, machine not working etc etc) and for over a month, I've not gotten my results for the tests I did. They are now ignoring my messages and emails.

How do I proceed to get my money back. Which government agency can I report this too.

I am here today to ask for advice though...

I am always looking to leave the country due to the hardship here in Naija and the fact that if you are not connected to some plugs you have less opportunities. Now, I have been able to hustle and save up some funds, I want to go about traveling in a very legit way because I don't want stories either from agents or being deported, perhaps denied visa. So I studied some European countries because UAE is not for me, UK too and Yankee date for visa interview is 2 years from now if I am right.

Best bet, Europe, I found Portugal D7 quite interesting and might go for it, but the issues is you need to proof that you have a source of income, physical or virtual as long as it is legit before you can be given this type of visa.

Long story short, I am looking at opening a modern unisex salon with a budget of #2.5 - 3m and run it for like a year while taking the ROI... (Return on Investment) then start processing the Visa, which I believe the business is legit and will be in my name and can be run even in my absence.

About the topic, what will you like to see in a modern unisex salon with the budget considering Lagos or eyebrow area in Ibadan?

I know how to manage businesses and I believe I can manage a salon and the staffs.

Greetings all. My aunty has a valid US visa and would really like to make a party in the UK. If she arrives the same day of the party she can leave the following day to the US. So I went to the UK Gov website and entered the criteria. Please someone should help me read. The way it's looking it's as if she doesn't need a transit visa.

I applied for UK visit visa October 2021. I received an email Nov. A refusal letter on the 25th of November. So I just went to collect my passport. I didn't even check after getting the email. I collected the passport myself at vfs global Abuja.

Fast forward, I was just going through my passport today and I saw a stamped multiple entry clearance valid from 23 November 2021 to 23 may 2022. How is this even possible? The same shirt I used in capturing was in my passport.

How can they issue visa on my passport and send me a rejection email. Has anyone ever experienced this.

NB: I have been to the uk before. Did my masters. Left before my visa expired. That was January 2021

I just called them. They said the embassy rescheduled all March appointments and they have been getting calls all day about the issue. And that the embassy reserves the right to cancel appointments.

I should've just done interview waiver when it was opened. I have a trip planned so didn't want to have my passport held for upto 2mths. I just hope they extend interview waiver to Dec appointments.

Same here. My March date has been rescheduled to December ��� I've sent an email. Because I was eligible for IW, but now I'm not.

Maybe you can request Emergency Travel.

Please before we rush and cancel our appointments, especially for those with 2022 appointment date be informed that your passport will stay with the embassy for a maximum of 60 days after IW application and currently no date for IW on their portal.
My appointment is in April 2022 and I rather attend my interview and recieve my passport after 3 days than do IW and be tensed for a complete 2 months after application.
Pls let's be guided and don't rush to cancel appointment that is close by

Please people, also note IW is for those whose appointment is between February and October 2022, because I saw someone mention their 2024 appointment (even though I believe there are now 2023 dates you can reschedule to)

Read the list very well. Because after cancelling they will still ask you qualification questions before you can schedule interview waiver.

Me for instance stayed over 6mths during the pandemic/airspace closure even though I alerted the embassy and also applied for i539 (visa extension) months before. I left the US 2 weeks after my i94 expired. So did I overstay or not? I don't even know. But I'd rather explain at an interview than cancel my appointment and let it affect me.

if someone says they want to go for 6 days on their application, but they end up going for 8 days as evidenced by their ticket. will there be any future problems with visa applications or even entry to the US?

Its showing lagos Nigeria , instead of Abeokuta that i have on my passport.... Pls what are my chances of correcting it ... If it happen that it cant be eddited ,hope it wont affect my visa...pls i need fast response from anyone ....my interview is on the 30th

i don't think there's anything you can do. yes you can fill another form, but the appointment confirmation which you also need, cannot be edited 3 days before your interview. And you will need to update that confirmation form with the new application number.

I hope there was a newspaper publication of the name change when it was done. The date of the publication and the affidavit should be the same period as the name change. Gives the affidavit extremely high credibility

In your DS160, remember to fill in any other name or previous name field.

the applicant wasn't fingerprinted but i believe at this point, honesty is key. thank you.

Don't forget to fill the refusal in your 160 form. It might not come up if you were not finger printed.

The best bet is to have a Letter of Explanation addressing these issues. Once it comes up at the interview, you can present the Letter.

1. 2007 legally lived in england as student and applied for US visa, it was refused. the sponsor gave fake documents, unbeknown to applicant. sponsor to this day denies they were fake
2. applicant got successful Schenghen visas while in UK
3. applicant legally moved back to Nigeria and did a change of name due to family drama. has affidavit
4. applicant has gotten schenghen, dubai, morroco, SA visas since
5. applicant has a good professional job. over 800k a month + savings in naira and USD
6. applicant owns home, fully paid
7. applicant has been invited 2020 to present a paper at a conference in DC
8. Conference organisers have sent invitation letter to this effect
