I helped a friend to write and he passed successfully. |
[quote author=abduljaleel128 post=94118178]You guys are just speculating, if they employ 2:2 without Masters, no one here can stop it. It says: For GT, Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of Second Class Upper Degree or Second Class Lower Degree or HND upper or Lower Credit with a good Master's Degree. It simply indicates that only those with HND lower or Upper Credit require a Good masters degree. Let's forget about about the criteria, time would tell. I can't imagine people find it hard understanding simple sentence. The recruiter wrote "minimum of second class upper" I think some people need to check what "minimum" means. Second class lower, HND upper and HND lower are all in the same category which must be with a master's degree. I don't know second class lower is now the same or higher than second class upper. Mtcheeew |
bmyc:Sir, I'm telling you their policy. No top FG agencies including those under ministry of petroleum resources accept HND even if it's a distinction grade. You must have master's degree with the HND to get job there. NCDMB and NNPC have the same requirement. Let's stop deceiving ourselves. I'm only stating the fact. For GT, if you've have second class lower or HND without a Master's degree, the chances are very very slim. It may sound brutal but I needed to clarify the policy. |
stinflame:Just to make things clear NCDMB GT requirement is Bachelor's degree with a minimum of second class upper OR second class lower b.sc with master's degree OR HND upper/lower with master's degree While that of EH requirement is Bachelor's degree with a minimum of second class lower OR HND upper/lower with master's degree Right from inception, NCDMB don't take second class lower without Master's to augment it for entry level. Kindly read the advert between lines to confirm. |
Newcastle2023:Thanks for the update. But I doubt the number of applicants because NNPC 2019 recruitment with wider publicity on major nationwide newspapers and websites, onymous with in-house recruitment website and more vacancy across various fields invited 60,000 applicants for test. NCDMB must have received lesser applications due to the unsecured website and staying anonymous wouldn't have got that number. Moreover, they can't take in half of the 1,050 new-intakes taken by NNPC. 90,000 is highly unrealistic for NCDMB. Just my thought. A staff just told me the HR team has agreed for physical CBT test for all graduate trainees. Necessary procedures are still pending which is still delaying the invitation for test. Once this is in place, they will get back to us ASAP. No aptitude test for EH but just interview stage. |
leks4sure:If you have gotten any spam message from adbirt or Vashomes or greyscalesolar, kindly click like If you haven't, kindly click share I want to check something. |
We need to be patient and stop causing confusion. NCDMB are not the one organizing this recruitment but it was outsourced to another recruiting firm. We shouldn't blame the agency for this. The recruiting firm used an unsecured website for the application stage in order to minimize cost as this is a one-off recruitment which has caused our data to be vulnerable to hackers. I didn't receive these spam messages but a friend has been getting them from August 25th till last Friday from Adbirt (×3), Vashomes and greyscalesolar but they all have the same address in UK . He told me the ads was sponsored by Zohocampaigns. I drew a conclusion that Zohocampaigns must have gotten their email addresses from mailgun.org. The outsourced firm used mailgun.org platform to send mails to all applicants during the course of registration and application. I believe they used mailgun.org because they don't have a server or secured permanent website which made them to buy this service for a temporary use. People with IT should be able to get my points For some to have received these ads while many others haven't, then that should imply that classification has been done among the applicants since August 25th or thereabout. This is just an assumption from me which might not be far from reality. I know what has happened to the mailing list of some applicants regarding this recruitment but is best I let the sleeping dogs lie. |
NSE entry level salary is lower than my current salary. Their emolument isn't juicy compared to other organisations in that sector. Even SEC that regulates them pays far better |
imamabi:DBN recruitment was free and fair till the end. I wasn't part of the recruitment but a friend of mine got it alongside others without knowing anyone in the organisation before or during the recruitment. Some of the guys that got it have the qualifications and were already working in the industry such as SEC, Zenith bank, FBN Quest and the likes, not as if they called them from their father's house. Moreover, DBN is a public limited company and not govt owned even though FG has a stake in it. Quota system or recommendation from politicians doesn't work there. Even though they only picked very few of you guys that were called for assessment centre. It was totally merit base. Their recruitment was just like NSE I did last year which I eventually rejected the offer. You all should stop painting a recruitment bad if you didn't get it. There are many opportunities out there, if a company rejects you, just work hard to get a better one. I could see some peeps putting all their hope on this NCDMB recruitment. Percentage of applicants that would get this job wouldn't be more than 1% So why worry yourselves on a job you haven't even been shortlisted not to talk of passing the test and interview. If you don't have any job now, why not take your time to improve yourselves professionally pending when the right opportunities come your way? It's better to prepare yourself than getting caught unaware. As for the doubting Thomas, pls kindly take your bad energy away from here. We don't need pessimist on this thread. If at this stage, you're still oblivious of recent activities in NCDMB which would require more hands for optimum efficiency, then you're not meant for them. Probably, you should pitch your tent with BBN and other social activities. If you all could go through the Job ads carefully, you should perceive NCDMB is expanding their operations. this recruitment is majorly for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) GT and EH that would be monitoring Upstream offshore activities and managing other joint ventures with private organisations such as Modular refineries, NOGAPS, Gas hubs and the likes. For those that applied to NNPC, you should have noticed similarities in the ads which is a clue for what you're needed for. While the other openings for administrative roles are limited. This recruitment is different from how they've been recruiting since 2015. Most of the reconmended GT they recruited sometimes back were for their core local content monitoring and capabilities roles. The agency knows what is at stake coupled with their new technical projects worth huge amounts of money from the Nigerian Content Funds. Even though we can't rule out slots been shared, I can categorically tell you this recruitment drive will be mostly meritious. Let's keep the hope alive while we keep ourselves busy with our day to day activities. |
[quote author=scheme124 post=93442990]The issue of recruitment is underway, each and every state of the federation must be represented including FCT, therefore if you applied just keep on praying, what someone is destined to get will come to you, south south and south west has the highest number of staff in NCDMB base on that, it has to be balance. [ Point of correction, FCC doesn't put into consideration the existing staff in an establishment but solely on the current recruitment. They only make sure every state is represented in any recruitment. Even though some states might have more numbers than others. They are less concerned about existing staff |
Kaleidoscope96:Learn to read between lines. There was no where I stated governing board. NCDMB as a whole is a "BOARD". Meanwhile, the friend of a friend is just an NYSC member fortunate to be serving there. |
guasm:How come CBN HR sent this application link to you and you were also doubting this recruitment just few days ago. Moreover, there is no link between CBN HR and NCDMB HR, they're not under the same ministry. For those doubting, you can keep doubting till offer is given to us by the board. A friend just linked me with a friend currently serving in the board. I've gotten some information but I think it would be needed at the interview and APL offer stage. FYI, the last fresh graduate recruitment done by the board was in 2015 under the immediate past Executive secretary but was purely connection based. I was told most of those employed were from influential figures across all geopolitical zones of the country. the only similarity among them is that a good number of them had undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from schools abroad. Although, the board employed experienced hires some time ago. This time around, the board decided to do open recruitment to give every worthy applicants fair playing ground. That's the reason behind them staying anonymous. You and I know if NCDMB should state their name, this recruitment would be hijacked by cremè de la cremè of our country starting from the host communities. But as it is now, they can easily deny recruiting if any of them should sent recommendation leetter and thereby minimize lobbying. By God's grace, the expected hour is close by and we shall come out successful in it.

bukhety:You might be right with your assumption. Apart from the unsecured website, by checking the email security details, one could observe that the email server was routed from Mailgun.org. Mailgun might have compromised with our data. |
QueenOfOgoja:There is no similarity between DPR application and this. Did NCDMB state their name in the newspaper publication? Are you receiving mail from NCDMB? Did you apply on NCDMB website? These questions should tell you the board decision is to remain anonymous till offer is given just to avoid DPR recruitment scenario from repeating itself. Have anyone ever seen recruitment publications from any of the agencies under ministry of petroleum resources aside NNPC and DPR? The board does not want to share slots or do any shambolic recruitment. They made decision to remain anonymous and independent just to avoid this recruitment from being hijacked by both internal and external influencers. PPRA, PTI, PEF, NNRA, PTDF have been recruiting from time to time but never advertised their vacancy because the openings there are few and government officials won't even give them breathing space for meritocracy. The pay and allowances in all these agencies is mouthwatering and assumed to be meant for highly connected citizens. NCDMB is trying to re-write all these anomalies starting from recent projects embarked. |
Information reaching me is that the recruitment consultant poached some guys on LinkedIn with cognate experience in some of the advertised fields such as HSE which even prompted them to extend deadline for some of the roles. This recruitment would be entirely handled by the consultant from shortlisting stage to the interview stage while NCDMB would only issue out offer letter to successful applicants thereafter. In fact, staff of NCDMB are unaware about how this recruitment would go and this might continue to be so till resumption. Having insiders doesn't give anyone any advantage in this recruitment neither will they even feed you with any information. This recruitment would be be majorly merit base if not even totally. Those with connection from politicians or highly placed public servants might get job offer but not through this recruitment drive. |
Most likely feedback will be sent unfailingly between Thursday, August 27th and Friday, September 4th. Don't forget some would need to give one(1) month notice to their present employer. I believe PwC do factor this every year. I think the virtual induction would start on Monday, October 5th. |
Guys, forget about the website as it has finished the sole purpose it was created for which was to only receive applications. All the candidates data needed has been migrated to cloud for shortlisting and future reference by the management of the board. That's why some supposed eligible applicants with incomplete data were recently contacted to send their required personal details through mail instead of the website. I believe the next mail we'd receive should be aptitude test invite. I assume it would be out by this week or latest, by the following week with a one week preparation gap before we eventually take it virtually. Also, successful applicants at the test stage should be ready for interview few weeks after, which would likely be by September ending. All these above statements are just assumptions made by me with the realities on ground. The board has been seriously busy with commissioning of various projects and involvement with meetings in the past few days in which I think could be limiting the recruitment outsourcing firm from getting the board's attention. Rumour has it that the board has been given approval by the ministry of petroleum resources to recruit maximum of 500 staff. Good luck everyone!!! |
You guys should just thread softly, the competition hasn't started yet. At this stage, only luck could make one get shortlisted for the aptitude test. One might meet all the criteria but still not get shortlisted which means one has lost the battle even before the war starts. Let's just pray we get shortlisted and then start thinking of the next step. The ball is in your court only when you've been sent invitation to write aptitude test. As for the merit part, I think for NCDMB to have remained anonymous in the newspaper publication, then you all should know they really mean business and not ready to entertain job lobbying by politicians or public servants. I won't be surprised if this recruitment is handled entirely by a third party outsource firm. Probably, NCDMB would only call us for offer at the end of the recruitment or just for interview. For the quota system, this would also play a part in this recruitment but not to the extent of that of other FG agencies due to the location of the head office. I guess little number of northern applicants applied. You all know security is a major concern in the country. If unrest should happen in Niger Delta, a hausa man would be very vulnerable. I think this might be a factor while less application might be received from northern people. I see southern names dominating the employment list but every geopolitical zones would be represented. As for those looking for past questions, this is the first time NCDMB is recruiting openly. We don't even know the recruitment firm handling it. I would just advise anyone not used to aptitude tests should go and study how to solve mathematics problems and master their shortcuts. Also Use of English should be mastered. As for me, until I get shortlisted before I take this recruitment serious as that is when the power is transferred to me and not the recruiter. I see this recruitment coming to an end before the end of this year, 2020. NCDMB plans to bring all new and existing staff into the new edifice office this year. I think that's reason why they option for virtual test because of the urgency attached to this recruitment and moreover, the pandemic. So, the recruitment would most likely be a quick one and majorly full of merit candidates. The firm is just 10 years old, favouritism isn't that much there yet. Go to Twitter, you all will see this agency is transparent with all their dealings. Good luck to everyone of us!! See you all in Local Content Tower come December. But before then, we should keep sharing necessary information as the recruitment advances. |
PSVITA:This is totally wrong. It's NOGIC JQS internship. The salary structure is the same with NNPC, DPR and others under Ministry of petroleum. As a GT, you're placed on SS6. Pls remove that pics |
bright8569:He has shared his interview experience and tips with everyone, why do you need him to chat you up? you think everyone is as jobless or without nothing going for as you're? that's how you went to Unilever group to claim you're a final year student of Unilag just for you to get interview questions from those that have done earlier. He didn't know people on PwC 2019 thread knew him. If you continue this mischievous and deceit way of yours, you'll end up jobless for long. You think you're smart but you're only deceiving yourself. Guys beware of this dull guy calling himself bright. |
daben1:It was there. Probably, you guys didn't notice it as it was just like Terms and Conditions statements in any application where you just have to click on accept/agree and continue. It was the first page to load when you log on for the first time. Choosing either of the option doesn't count, I think they've the final say which is most likely going to be virtual due to the pandemic and the short timeframe to complete this recruitment. Interview mode is what might still not be certain at this moment. |
Does anyone know if NCDMB will use quota system based on geopolitical zones or will it be totally merit? I'm asking because the system wasn't displaying state of origin and we are not asked to upload attestation to that. It seems this recruitment would be concluded before the year runs out. I hope this recruitment won't be hijacked along the way |
Jacknn:Don't re-apply. Just leave it the way it is, it could be corrected if you get to the interview stage. Your NYSC certificate number is part of identity, the system will recognize it when you submit another application with it which would lead to disqualification as the implication of double application. I pity those submitting double applications without knowing their NYSC is their identity. |
bright8569:You are a big for nothing liar. You that went through PwC graduate recruitment last year and this year has quickly turned to a final year student. You think you can use false pretense to get Unilever finance questions. Nobody should send this fool any clue regarding the digital assessment. |
