Hello everyone! I wanted to transfer 10k dolls from my access bank account to Stanbic dollar fund account but the teller guy told me they will charge me USD93 extra for the transfer. I had to put it on hold. I intend to invest this amount for 6 months to sort japa plans next year but I don't if it's worth investing it in Stanbic dollar funds or just keep it in my account till then. Please house, how do I fund the Stanbic dollar mutual fund without paying thay exorbitant charges? Or any other advice? |

Panel Interview with the top management is scheduled for November ending at the commission's office in Abuja. Invite would be rolled out some days before then. Top five candidates acording to performance in the online test and quality of CV based on qualifications and experience for every role advertised are expected to be shortlisted. Being among top scorers does not give one the guaranty of making it to the next stage. A lot of guys that had high scores have been dropped because they don't have cognate experience and skills for the expected roles. All fresh graduates were dropped also. This recruitment is strictly for experience hires. Some roles have stiffer competition than others. Some managerial roles candidates like principal managers even performed poorly in the CBT but would be invited as they are vastly experienced. Circa 400 candidates needed for the next stage to select about 70 candidates. All the best to everyone! |
Hi guys! This recruitment is practically over! Few weeks ago, shortlisted candidates were asked to forward their updated CV to a hiring manager. For the past weeks, same candidates have been called in batches to pick up their offers in hotels lodged by the hiring manager in Abuja and Bayelsa. The last batch of the candidates have been called this concluded week to pick up their offers in a hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos today and tomorrow. NB! Candidates are meritoriously picked as the list is dominated by First class degree holders across multiple disciplines with a score of at least 75% in the testmi score while some are recommended by top government officials. All from various states and geopolitical zones of the country. However, a few of them have declined so far as they are in a better job and others have travelled out of the country. Hopefully, their slots are offered to the next best candidates in their states or disciplines. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavours ❤️ |
NekkyCee:You are welcome Good to hear it has already started dropping |
leks4sure:As advised earlier, those that missed their test or unable to write at their stipulated time have been rescheduled for Tuesday, 22nd September, 2022. Mails to this effect would come in tonight. |
leks4sure:I hope you all had a great test experience. This recruitment is a very competitive one and structured to get the best out of the best for each of the geopolitical zones for each role advertised. Only the top percentile will be shortlisted for the next stage which will come up at a later date. The goal is to select one candidate per role except a few with two vacancies Those that missed their test should check their mail frequently for a mail rescheduling them for another test. In other not to miss out, ensure you send a mail to careers.support@nerc.gov.ng and careers@nerc.gov.ng Good luck to you all! |
Watchout for NCDMB update soon!! |
NERC Candidates should check for my update on NERC recruitment from page 15 of the NERC thread https://www.nairaland.com/7164649/nigerian-electricity-regulatory-commission-nerc/14#116663479 Good luck to the shortlisted candidates |
leks4sure:You all should try to login to the testmi portal to confirm if you still have access to the portal. If you're not shortlisted for the next stage which is an aptitude test, you won't be able to login and you will get a pop up indicating that you're not selected. Shortlisted candidates should be expecting invite later in the day or tomorrow for the assessment coming up soonest. Wishing you all success. |

If all things go according to plan, aptitude test is coming up tentatively either on Tuesday, 20th of September or Saturday, 24th September. Consultants waiting for NERC to decide the final date but definitely before end of the month. Invite for test will be sent between tomorrow and Friday. Check your phone message box and email frequently. Aptitude test will be in 3 batches on that day to avoid congested traffic that destabilised NCDMB test in November, 2020. 14,000 applicants have been shortlisted for the assessment to fill vacancies of circa 70 The exam will last for 1 hour. Good luck!!! |
The wait is almost over. Good luck to the selected few! |
Gbyms:Geographical zone is used in this recruitment instead of state due to small number of slots. Some states in a zone might have more applicants than others though. FCC already gave concurrence. |
liberalme:To be factual, they are! If you're a GT and you you have 2:1 or first class B.SC (no 2:2, hnd or whatever) in the courses listed in the newspaper advert, age 27 or below and you upload among first batch, it's almost certain you'll be invited. Though some GTs were selected from second batch because of federal character quota system and few courses without applicants that uploaded in the first batch. For EH, aptitude test score wasn't a major factor once you scored above 50. Qualifications and cognate experience from reputable organisations were the deciding factors. |
It's been a while here. There was a strategic meeting on manpower audit yesterday between the HR and corporate communications division where the ongoing recruitment was extensively discussed and the fake job ads circulating in Bayelsa state recently. This post was to inform the general public about it. This doesn't nullify the advertised oil and gas job vacancy of 2020 by NCDMB. This is one of the numerous reasons the board decided to publish the recruitment without stating name of the agency in the newspaper advert to avoid unscrupulous persons from hijacking it. Interview has been tentatively fixed for 2nd/3rd week of October. There is still ongoing deliberation for either Virtual or Physical Interview in Nigeria Content Tower, Yenogoa. Mails would drop anytime soon ahead. About 500 applicants have been shortlisted for the interview, dominated by GT from the first batch of applicants to upload documents and EH from the second batch for about 150 positions. Good luck everyone! |
Management and HR team set to meet soon regarding the ongoing recruitment. To clarify rumours going around about FCC interfering with this recruitment. It's just a false propaganda. FCC had already been given few slots prior to receiving recruitment approval. Interview was suspended because of the various board projects behind this recruitment would just be completed by last quarter while the much-awaited project Train 7 ground-breaking was done today and work to start soon. I believe we wouldn't expect the board to recruit new-intakes and start paying salaries without productivity. For the experience hire, kindly be active on LinkedIn as Saipem and other contractors have started recruiting for this project. Please keep your options open. I'll keep you all informed once things are in place Be prepared as you patiently wait!!! |
Recruitment currently on hold till further notice. |
bukhety: SatB: ennyj01:I've been fine all this while. Thank y'all Happy new month to everyone on this thread. May it be a month full of success and fulfillment in all ramifications including this particular recruitment that brought us together. By God's grace, I wish to see everyone of us here in Nigeria Content Tower, Yenogoa for induction by September, 2021 The recruitment team are working indefatigably to ensure this recruitment process is completed and offer made by June. We were supposed to have received interview invitation mail by now if not for setback experienced by the concerned teams (HR&IT). Physical interview was suggested initially but has been ruled out and that brought about the idea of online documentation. Shortlisting has already been concluded and Virtual interview mails would drop once interviewers availability is secured. Interviews would run simultaneously for two weeks between April and May. I wish everyone luck in the remaining part of this recruitment exercise. Thank you |
Start checking your mails. |
Sinensis:Not true.... When it comes to local banks, Stanbic pays the highest which is 350k (after 1 year confirmation though) for graduate trainee because one would get ABO straight. But if you've Master's degree and get offer as a management trainee, First bank is the best paying bank follow by Ecobank because one would get AM and BO respectively. Standard Chartered and Citi bank are in another league on their own as a foreign bank. |
AyjayE:Successful applicants submission has been updated with a new date other than the day they did their video interview and has been called by the white HR talent recruiter. If your application completed date isn't reading a new date after you took your video interview, that means you've not been shortlisted, kindly move on. |
About 2,000 applicants across all disciplines have been shortlisted for the oral interview stage which is proposed for 8th-12th March 2021. Interview would be conducted in Hotels at Lagos, Abuja and PHC. Invitation would be sent anytime soon once everything has been finalised. Goodluck to everyone!!! |
ogwoliun:Testmi just sent the second stage aptitude test report to NCDMB today. No info yet about the next stage yet. The report was classified according to percentile for each discipline advertised. I have the feelings that NCDMB would only call the required top candidates for each role. As it stands, there is nothing like quota system for this stage but I'm sure it would come in place after the interview which might not be evenly distributed across all states/zones BTW but performance based. This recruitment is meant for the best out of the best. |

Keep calm!!! The developers are still working on the platform. There was a setback on the backend work. They are currently running beta-testing on it. Testmi will send invite to the shortlisted candidates in the course of the week unfailingly for the stage 2 aptitude test. Note that you won't be able to see your previous test score again. Success to you all |
Update!!! Some candidates have been shortlisted to take another aptitude test on Testmi by the same outsource firm. Kindly check your mails from time to time for invite on or before this weekend. All things equal, online test slated for 30th January, 2021. Note!! This information is tentative as meeting and preparation still ongoing with all parties. |
Cut off mark is 80 for both GT and EH to qualify for the interview regardless of one's discipline. This is from the recent virtual meeting done between Quomodo and NCDMB. But there is possibility of another test so as to accommodate applicants with lower scores. I'll give full update tomorrow |
I got 241 in utme and have 5 o'level subjects but I got disqualified on LASU post utme screening portal due to wrong combination while registering. Please, how do I resolve this? I don't want to stay at home for another year just because of this issue. I chose Sociology and wrote English, Mathematics, Commerce and Economics in UTME. |
