Hey all. Been a while. This is just to motivate everyone here. Don’t give up. I started reading up on NL by March which was when I decided to come to DE. Renewed passport, applied for school, got rejections and later got admission to Kassel to study the course I wanted.

Interview went well, collection of visa became wahala with 2 extension gotten from my school, old passport was stamped and then I had to wait for process again while mailing school and alien office with good response and support from them. Naija embassy frustrated me but all in all. I got my visa, am in DE, missed 3 days of lecture but I am to the pace now.
We are Nigerians and can pick up. It’s safe here and everything works

Ps. Delete your torrent app before coming here as this can get you a fine of 950 euro or more.

Be focused don’t give up and please you all should read.

You can ask few things from the visa stage but all in all my advice is put effort and you will come out great.
I have met people here that used agent and got courses they don’t want and now they don’t even know how to apply. I explained in my little way but told them I can’t start applying for you here. Sorry bro! it also seem to me they only shortlisted Information technology and all other computing courses (despite advertised on their site) were not considered. I was tld an automated system is designed to screen out all without the requirements, I stand to be corrected especially considering som1 said ppl with 2:2 got shortlisted. All computing courses (Software Development, Networking and Database administration) are categorised under Information​ Technology. Seems the board screened out database administration (I don't know for other options).

Astaghfirullah! But I don't usually be in the fromt row of the Masjid during Jumah but today I was privileged to be at the front row so I will share some of the things I saw.

1.The most annoying thing I saw today was tat the people that came late will always want to be in the front and thereby causing inconveniences to the people that are seated already, I was sitting down comfortably when this fat man (I am not being abusive, it's just a description)[b] just sat between us and made me uncomfortable. 2. Sitting in the front, I could see some people that came in and perform nawafil, but they were looking left and right like someone was going to steal them away.

3. Some people even held tesbah while standing when performing the nawafil and they were counting, I wonder if they were counting the numbers of Fatiha they recited.

The inauguration of the Presiding officers of the 8th assembly has thrown the entire three arms zone comprising the presidency, the Supreme Court (Judiciary) and the National Assembly into serious pandemonium following the blocking of roads leading to the secretariat by the armed security personnel.

Specially, staff at the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, security personnel drafted to barricade the gate clashed with staff as the later were stopped from going into their various offices.
It was gathered from a reliable source that the sudden decision of security operatives to barricade all entrances leading to the National Assembly Complex was intended to prevent elections for the highest offices of both chamber from holding.
Although people had been accredited for the event, the security operatives asked everyone to turn back despite showing their tags at the entrances.
The main entrance to the complex from the Central Area axis, two entry points from Aso Villa were blocked by a combined team of men of the Nigeria Police Force and Department of State Security (DSS).
As early as 6am, all entrances had been blocked, with security officials who craved anonymity declaring that they were acting on orders from above.
It was learnt that President Mohammadu Buhari who returned from the G7 meeting Monday night will meet with the National Assembly members of the APC by 9am on Tuesday to salvage the already situation.
The sudden development it was gathered was the alleged decision of the opposition PDP to endorse Bukola Saraki and Yakubu Dogara for Senate President and Speaker, House of Representatives respectively.
While the APC controls 59 out of the 109 seats in the upper house as against PDP’s 49, the ruling party similarly dominates the 360-member lower house with over 200 federal legislators.
Staff at SGF office who stormed the blocked entrances along Aso Drive protested against the actions of the security operatives.
The staff who argued that it was wrong to stop them from going to the office without any circular informing them that there was not going to be work today, had hectic time with the security personnel comprising mostly of the Police, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDS, and the DSS.
The civil servants who tried to forcefully gain entry into the premises argued that they have nothing to do with the National Assembly inauguration and that no circular was issued to them to stay away from work.
However about 9am as a result of the chaotic situation, the workers at the SGF office were allowed to go in with everybody displaying his or her Identity Card, while journalists that were at the gate were not allowed to pass through the gate.
