Oil major BP reported a pretax loss of $865 million in the first quarter of 2016 as low oil prices continue to plague the company.
First-quarter replacement cost loss came in at $485 million, compared with a profit of $2.1 billion a year ago. The replacement cost loss came in well above expectations of $140 million in a poll of analysts provided by the company.
Replacement cost profit is a common accounting measure to report profits in the oil industry which takes into account the fluctuations in the price of oil. Oil prices have seen something of a rebound since BP's last earnings when a barrel was trading around $33 with Brent crude now fetching around $44 a barrel but there is no sign of major producers curtailing output in a bid to support prices further.

Is like those saying 2k per year don't have drivers licence.
I paid 11k(official price 6350, parallel market price 10k to 15k) last week after much bargaining just to renew my licence that did not even last up 3years.
My licence was supposed to expire by December but they reduced it to February because that was my birth month. By the time you subtract the time delayed before collection you will discover that it was even less than 2yrs.
God help Nigeria.

wow ......this thread still dey alive cant remember when last i was here.
a lot of water has passed under these past 7years since i started this thread. the salary has improved since then but unfortunately, inflation and the general bad economy have wiped off any gains.

SRs now go home with 500+ but TODAY,that is equivalent to the 350+ in 2009. (refer to my earlier posts)

i didnt get to travel out. i got married and decided to do residency in the country partly because moving with my family was a task i was not willing to undertake( a decision i partly regret not taking).

i am currently in a radiology residency in southern nigeria and hopefully going for part 2 next year.i still think about travelling out BUT my pathway in 2016 would be different from my chosen pathway 7 years ago.
i will most likely be going for the FRCR(royal college of radiologists)postgraduate exams. this is the least path of resisitance for me AT MY CURRENT LEVEL.
the FRCR is in 3 steps and can be completed quite rapidly for a doctor who knows what hes doing.passing steps1 and 2 make you an SR(radiology) in the UK.

so my advice for residents IN NIGERIA who still want to leave,survey the option of writing foreign postgraduate professional exams in your current area of specialization. that may be easier. i hear pathology faculty(national postgrad college)has some arrangements with royal college of pathologists were an SR in pathology in nigeria is exempted from writing step 1 of the royal college of paths exam. Im not sure though.

For the medical students/fresh graduates, my advice is to decide what you want to do ON TIME. never be caught in one place. Always be on the move. you must have a strategy.
make up your mind fast. do you want to leave the country or do you want to stay back. while youre looking to write these foreign exams you must have a job that feeds you and can help you prepare for these exams. ALWAYS REMEMBER..... every decision has its pros and cons....moving to the UK or US does not mean all your problems in life are over. carefully weigh every decision(with prayer o!!).
I know our country is F.ucked(pardon the expression....couldnt find something MORE APT) BUT IT IS NOT ALL GLOOM AND DOOM..
i make up to 60% of my salary moonlighting in my current city of residence. i have friends who are SRs in anaesthesiology and are fully booked every weekend in town for surgeries netting about 35grand per surgery.these boys do not do less than 10surgeries in a month. Im not sure a doctor would have this kind of freedom in the US or UK(correct me if im wrong though).My guys(SRs) in O&G net about 50-100grand per month on performing C/Ss for GPs in town. my point?? our country is a useless place but that uselessness has created opportunities for youths to move in and provide solutions to problems.

i dont know what the carribean pathway is like these days. when i left school a decade ago, UNN.ABU.UI.IFE AND BENIN graduates were sought after in T&T. graduates of thses schools didnt have to write licensing exams in addition to to the tax free salaries they were to earn.(of course while attempting to nail either PLAB or USMLE).

so just survey all your options very well. cheers!

Just so that you don't embark on this journey is the reason I'm responding to your post. It is most likely the registrars don't know what your signature looks like (#signaturespecimen) except you have been filling documents that capture your signature (#transferforms) when you place your mandates (buy/sell authorization) with your broker.
It is either you get a banker's confirmation of signature addressed to the registrar concerned (make this request with your banker). The cost will probably be the transport fare for the journey proposed.

Alternatively you get your broker to process transfer forms on your behalf (the cost implication here is the wait-time).

Thereafter, you process e-dividend and make a request for all outstanding dividends with the registrar.

NOTE: These issues have been exhaustively discussed in previous pages. Kindly do some research of your own by just using a search engine. It is the least expected of anyone that has access to the internet.

Please is this whole process repeated if one buys additional shares to the one he had previously?

Any Tablet(a Tablet is an equivalence of a Laptop computer) will work! A particular version of Opera Beta(check my posts for the version) is very compatible with Morgan iTrade.

I bought samsung galaxy note 4 because of this I trade, downloaded opera beta yet it is still very sluggish. I just dropped the phone out of annoyance. May be tablet will work fine and its cheaper. I should have used that money to get a HP mini laptop which I can easily move around with.

3. For your home page on mobile, make the posts on the landing page more than the current ones u re having. More like 10 posts on home page

Before u apply for AdSense ensure the number of posts in your categories are uniform. Like 20 in job, 23 in news, 25 in health... Numbers close together tho

On the average, traffic to my new blog is still less than 100 per day. But I have gotten over 100 views on a single post through facebook. Everything depends on the Content of your Write up and your audience. If you write on what they want you will surely have views.

The only thing that makes Adsense better is the per click ish. Info links doesn't pay per click

Me sef ah dey find ways to improve traffic massively. I need it. I prefer traffic to adsense I swear.

I have learnt some tips now from experience tho. LinkedIn and twitter are the worst ways of getting traffic. Facebook and search engines still reign.
