learned0007: From their website, they seem to have offices only in Lagos, Abuja, Kano and PH.
As a result, I think you can only take your bank draft to any of these offices (although, personally I have not heard of anyone do it outside Lagos).
Since you are based out of Lagos, you can contact someone in Lagos to buy the bank draft and take to British Council office on your behalf, maybe with other docs such as photocopy of your passport datapage. (You do not have to make the payment yourself).
Hope this helps. Thanks |

SomebodyLovesMe: If you wish to pay via bank draft, you could have it dropped off at any British Council office. There is one in most major cities. You could also have someone drop it off for you - the person should take along a copy of the ID you registered with. Its not my wish to pay through bank draft just that the online payment was not successful. I was informed I can only submit draft in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Kano. Please do you know anybody who had submitted draft in any state outside these four States? |

SomebodyLovesMe: Guitarlife - If you pay with your atm card, you do not need to visit the British Council before your test date.
If you pay via bank draft, then you need to take the bank draft physically to the British Council along with a copy of the passport you registered with and a printout of the confirmation email you received after registering.
Bank drafts should be payable to: British Council What of those out side Lagos state? |

Please if the online payment is not successful, how do you submit the bank draft to British council for those not in Lagos? |

learned0007: Unfortunately, you cannot pay online again once you get past that page (without a successful payment)
Your best bet to complete that registration is payment using bank draft.
Go to any bank and pay for a bank draft for 40k in favour of "British Council". Take the receipt/teller from the bank to British Council office and make your payment.
Shortly after, your application status will be updated and confirmed. How will those not in Lagos contact the British council? |

rugged7: Start saving money- in pounds sterling Take ielts, probably in Nigeria... 7.5 minimum in all bands Pass Start prepping for plab it's possible to pass plab1 just by reading from afar But u need the right materials= oxford handbook + swamy/samson materials You can send a mail to swammy or samson and once u pay, they can send u the materials. If u are not so strong, then get a british visa and go to swammy/samson school at ilford if u pass plab 1 You must prepare for plab 2 from within the uk Go to swamy/samson prep classes. Minimum of 2 weeks but try 4 weeks practical preparation there If u pass plab2 apply for clinical attatchment immediately. try to go towards the north of england otherwise it will be difficult to get any attatchment Then follow MDCN bumper to bumper so that they can send ur documents to gmc on time and in good order When gmc gives u the license- thank god- for it is not by thy will, but by the grace of god... Thank you very much. The oxford hand books should be in which areas? Someone told me about using sponsor for plab2 to pay back later when I start working. How about that? |

doctor90210: Thanks Giov. Infact after doing extensive research in the last two days, I have discovered that my IELTS result is more than perfect for another purpose similar to what I initially intended to use it for, Just a different country. I just have to redirect my plans. I've been having serious doubts about U.K anyways. I think I'm gonna be fine. What did you discover doctor? Please help a colleague. |

rhymaster: Imo state Ibos usually have more sense than the terrorist Ibos in Anambra and Abia state. Nigeria should let the terrorist Ibos go and keep the sensible Ibos (Imo, Enugu and Ebonyi). We are ill give the money accruing to he terrorist Ibos to the sane ones! Shikena! Just respect yourself. |

I thought you were suppose to pay through a bank draft and not teller. what I know is that you buy a bank draft from any branch go to their office with your passport and then they will give you a receipt which you will get a confirmation email few hours later. better call their office to know what's up.
to everyone emailing me for the practice IELTS book 9. I'm so sorry coz I'm having issues sending it. the file is too large for my phone and I'm out of the office through out this week. hopefully I will send it next week. please bare with me. thanks. please send to drlonebe@gmail.com |
Career › Re: HELP!!! Temporary Well Paying Job VS Permanent Low Paying One by leo1234(m): 9:35pm On Nov 06, 2015 |
CrazyMan: This is really a decision you have to take your time to make.
A contract job where you work 6months and earn over 300k vs a full time federal government job. Noting that you're planning to run your Msc program.
For me, I'd go with a full time federal government job any day. Reason being that full time FG jobs comes with job security. They don't sack people anyhow. Unlike contract where once the need arises for the company to reduce their staff strength, you're gone. Or once your contract expires. No pay off, nothing...they just dump you.
Secondly, if you add up the allowances and annual salary which you'll receive in a full time FG job, it might exceed that of the contract job or the difference wouldn't be much. And you should note that in a full time FG job, you have the advantage being promoted (which means your salary is likely to increase upon promotion) and going on leave.
Contract job on the other hand is all work with no leave, no benefits, no promotion...and you wake up each day with the fear of having your contract terminated. Yes you have all 6months free for yourself, but if you aren't guaranteed of becoming a full staff there, then you should have a rethink.
I can't make any choice for you. I would just advise you to weight your options. I've listed the advantages and disadvantages of both and I believe that you'll come to a rational conclusion which would be beneficial to you.
Good luck. True talk! @Mishydoo I need the link to that contract job. Connection for FG job even better |

They never like the Northerners yet they have refused to relocate from the north to there region. There agitation for Biafra will never see the light of the day. RIP to the dead. You are just wicked!
