Gloating won't change the situation on ground. Johesu has nothing to lose but everything to gain. The next minister of health or minister of state for health won't be physician.

For donkey years NMA have been using propaganda to deceive Nigerians and fooling them that other professionals are not important. JOHESU remains steadfast, they are close to their goals that's why NMA is jittery and releasing memos every minute.

Lemme give you an update...

We were in court to challenge the motion filed by faceless NMA-sponsored NGO 'kingdom int'l' whatever...

The Court Ruling was:

1. Court takes over the negotiations btwn
JOHESU & Govt in its Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Centre.

2. JOHESU & Govt side are to nominate their representatives in the ADR process within 24 hrs.

3. The agreement reached at the ADR Centre will be registered in the Court as judgment binding on both parties.

4. JOHESU is urged (not ordered) to initiate the process of allowing normalcy to return to hospitals within 3 days.

Appeal from us: JOHESU is still consulting to take a decision which will be communicated to members accordingly. All social media & newspaper propaganda must be ignored until you hear from your representatives.

Thanks.

DR. G. C. Okara (FMLSCN)

In a related development your 'minister of malaria dokitas' is in trouble...

Breaking: The minister of health has been summoned by the president over his letter sacking all the federal health workers he did not employ without the consent of the head of service. The head of service has petitioned the presidency on the infringement of his right of office by the health minister. His fraudulent case that was pending before he was made the health minister has been revisited. We are at the verge of victory. grin

We just left the court and we agreed that we would only call off the strike if the NIC is successful in its mediation as a neutral body BTW US and the FG.
If successful in 24 hrs we would immediately call off the strike.
But the strike is still on

The purpose of the universities is to raise a standard better than the ones of the current public universities which are falling by the day.
If people had proper education, a job wouldn't be their only means of survival. Besides, I've seen a vast majority of Nigeria's graduates who can't even defend their degree. People like that can't get a job. This is the same Nigeria where you see a graduate of say, Unilag with a 2.2 claiming that he's better than his counterpart from another university with a first class.
We need a better standard of education to produce graduates who can appropriately defend their degree, thereby maximizing the achievements in their jobs as well as creating employment for the others. Graduates who think, not graduates who rant.
will the education guaranty their salvation. the aim of the church was for spiritual salvation and fulfilment. A place where the word of God was sought and his teachings via the holy spirit was impacted to his followers. at lease that's me thinking, not ranting. i have carefully read all your post and i can't find anywhere where the pursuit of God's mandate and knowledge was forefront. instead, you talked about standard of education, maximaizing intellectual achievement and economics of running a university.

remember there was schools of teaching when Jesus was alive but people left their work and such schools to sit at Jesus's feet to listen to his teaching. many were poor but he fed them with fish and bread.

will building of these universities glorify God's teachings or improve Man's understanding of Education?

Why open Universities if it's more costlier than an average university? It's not even that they are ranking best or anything, so why bother to establish something as sub par as the existing universities only with tuitions that you'll to pay through your nose? Why?

Afterthoughts: Churches shouldn't be building Universities in the first place, they should build NGOs instead. The church is already an institution of learning, why build schools? Why?
my point exactly

Churches in the two universities I've been to hold reforms for former cultists and juvenile delinquents in general. Also preaching to them the ills of their doings is also a method of reform. That's good enough for me.
And security is not something the church should be involved in. If the church does that and there's a backlash by a particular cultist group against the church by killing members, what will you say then?
Besides, the government can cover it properly. For example, the SARS agency in Uniport literally turned that school around. That school was a den of cultism. It's only on social media that I hear of a different type of SARS.
my questions are
1. MUST churches build universities? what happened to the definition of the word "church"? if churches now require physical buildings to impart the morals of Christianity then the orginal concept of the word "church" has bern forgotten.
2. with so many universities currently in the country and including those that secured higher qualifications outside the country, where are the jobs these graduates will occupy? people are lossing jobs left, right and center. people with masters and PH.d are working in banks and applying to be drivers in Dangote companies. if the graduates now cannot generate jobs for the populace, will it be the special graduates from these universities?

Politics2019: "I Can Win With APGA" - Okorocha Admits Losing Control Of State APC by Leopantro(op): 8:06pm On May 22, 2018
Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, said he can win election in the state, if still a member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.

Okorocha spoke at the Imo government house, chapel in Owerri, while he was addressing Imo youths, on the day of the APC state congress. He also said that the Imo APC stakeholders led by Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, deceived his deputy governor, Eze Madumere as well as commissioners.

According to Okorocha, “In the days of APGA and how we were able to win victory and how we were able to get victory, despite the fact that all the political Juggernauts were not on our side. It was made possible by you the youths of Imo state. “We struggled in APGA, there was no one with us just like it is today and we won them at that time there was an incumbent governor, by name Ohakim, with a presidential PDP, with all the Army but we resisted them and won them.”

The governor bragged that, “From APGA, we felt that it was important that we join the National party, we didn’t have to leave APGA, if we were in APGA, we would have still won our election. “By the time, we left APGA for APC, all these people were not with us but the youths are with us. I consulted some of you before I moved to APC. “They called us all sorts of names. They gave me all kinds of names, making it difficult to win the election. With Goodluck supporting the deputy speaker, Emeka Ihedioha, to win the election. I was with God and I won the election.

“But in APC, these men came and deceived my deputy governor and former SGI and commissioners and took them away. They thought when the take them away they will end rescue mission. They did not know that there are super ones still in the rescue mission government.”

You think it's only yahooboys who do rituals? Then tell me why every rich IBO person always have a sore on his leg that has refused to heal. And pls don't mention accident coz we ve heard that lie too many times.

Iwill wait!
i can confidently explain this because i did a research on it.
what is done is the person gets a couple of cotton thread and mixes it with feces, long stagnant sewage, compost pit residue and various other extremely contaminated substances. these get embedded into the thread such that various toxic micro-organisms accumulate on the thread.
the thread is then placed on the path of the unsuspecting victim in such a way that it pierces the skin. Because the sole of the feet is quite thick, it is usually placed slightly above the ground on grass or weed that the victim will brush against. such plants will contain thongs or things that can scratch the skin.
As soon as the potent organisms enter the skin they form the classical skin ulcer that spreads fast and discharges pus. because it contains many organisms, it is difficult to treat with simple antibiotics and when you try to isolate the causative organisms, you will get different types at the same time. To the unsuspecting doctor, he will think it is a native poison that refuses to heal and call it treatment failure.
it needs to be treated for a long time with strong antibiotics, regular culture isolation and cleaning as well as removing dead tissue.
the case is particularly worse in old people who have diabetes and/or kidney problem.

When you take only a director from one of the professionals in an organization having so many professionals with comparable inputs and make him/her permanent head of the organization, bias, favouritism, rivalry and autolytic actions are inevitable.

The second point is as long as money and professional rivalry continue to be the reason for strike actions in our health sector, I swear to God that we'll continue to be DOOMED!!!!

How can doctors say that they'll go on strike if FG adjust the remuneration of JOHESU members? What nonsense and most senseless thing I've ever heard.

The issue of parity that the doctors and minister of doctors are deceiving and confusing the public on is a BIG LIE ...JOHESU never asked for parity.

Someone should please tap our able president to wake up from his sleep. Some people are strangulating the health sector.
so you still believe in a president who currently rules without a certificate and allows insecurity to be the norm and prefers to travel out of the country for treatment to save the health sector?

i would have said you need to see a doctor but since you dislike them please see a pharmacist.

HealthRe: How Nigerian Doctors Worsened Drug Abuse Among Nigerian Youths by Leopantro: 10:07pm On May 20, 2018
Even Ghana, Togo and other west african countries ensure that you cannot buy potent drugs from a pharmacy without a drug prescription. But in Nigeria, you don't need to see a doctor to buy any drug in the pharmacy.
so how did doctors cause that?
it is the doctors fault that people are mixing drugs in idumota. it is doctors fault people that sell drugs in onitsha. it is doctors fault that linda ikeji is pregnant. it is the doctors fault that Dino jumped out of a moving car. it is the doctors fault that Davido is dating Chioma. it is the doctors fault that your wife gave you fish instead of shaki.

In fact Buhari should stop blaming GEJ, just blame the doctors.
