RomanceRe: Marriages Don't Last These Days Like It Did During The Era Of Our Grandparents. by Leshurr(f): 10:14am On Jan 24, 2021
Shortyyy:
The fact that you ran to a mod to ban me even though you drew the first knife shows you're a damn sissy and a coward. Y'all come here screaming I'm the man, but low key y'all are just sissies. Call them again, I can always create another one. Fvcking chicken.

But that's BTW, let's face the topic. It's Sunday and I'm free today.

You always try to come off as intelligent, but you always end up being dumb. Making baseless and irrelevant points. So according to you, a woman's infidelity is the cause of the high rate of divorce in our society? My dear Nairalanders, it is just January, but we've already gotten the winner of the dumbest poster of the year.

Now let me ask you, in a situation whereby a woman is facing domestic violence in her home, she should stay right? Let's not go to the cheating part, even though men are the head cheats in relationships and marriages.

Shall we talk about the suppression, the emotional blackmail, the physical and emotional abuse women face in marriages? Let's not go there because this isn't about a particular gender as you've made it to be.

If women decide to write down the list of misery they go through in marriages, you wouldn't post this trash here.

Marriages don't last anymore because the world now is a global village. Though it is mostly women that advocate for divorce, this high rate of divorce y'all have been whining about is only new in Africa, because African Women have awakened up, unlike those days where they didn't have anyone to advocate for them, but now they do. It is no longer business as usual. You don't expect an educated woman to endure all your foolishness just because you're a man. She'll give you those papers and walk out.
Women are now being enlightened on their rights.

I'll advise African men to blend in, accept the fact that women can no longer be oppressed and controlled like the old days. They should stop whining and treat women as humans rather than just mere objects.
If this is this case, women should be advocating for the total abolishment of marriage since it's so 'oppressive'.
Rather, it is women who seek to be married the most.
TravelRe: Share Your Experience With Nigerian Churches Abroad by Leshurr(f):
I see you referenced my thread @op lol.
Ok, so I've been to quite a number of churches abroad.. I'll share a quick summary of my impression/experiences so far:

Christ Embassy: Very cult-like, they literally worship Chris Oyakilome like a god. I've been to services where the congregation (alongside the resident pastor) just sits for the entire service, watching video clips of their 'daddy in the lord'. Then they will pressure you to purchase his books (e.g. rhapsodies of reality) They all talk and act the same way and are often fond of misquoting the Bible for selfish/ ridiculous agendas. I've personally experienced a few Christ embassy guys quote the Bible while trying to get down with me.. like wtf! .fornication doesn't seem to be a sin to them because "love" covers a multitude of sins lipsrsealed. They also tend to date and marry within the cult - you will hardly see a Christ Embassy member choosing a spouse from any other church.

KICC: This church has a reputation of being a shallow prosperity focused church but surprisingly, the members are such lovely people. Though they like to speak init lingo by force cheesy
The main headquarters tend to preach prosperity gospel a lot. However, smaller branches scattered around other cities outside London are usually very friendly and Christ focused (they may be small in congregation but are usually such a tight knitted, supportive family of believers).

RCCG: These are the absolute worst when it comes to prejudice and classism and the 'Jesus House' branch (London) is the main headquarters of such. Just make a mistake and go there dressed in a casual manner, you will regret your life! a church where intimidation thrives. Low income earners can never be given ministerial/pastoral roles. Who you are in society determines the respect you get. Positions are given to people not based on spiritual soundness but on how much you earn, package yourself and speak Christianese. I know husband beaters, wife batterers and child abusers who are currently in ministerial positions at RCCG. A male friend of mine told me of a supposed family man who is secretly a homosexual who has been appointed as a pastor at a particular branch because he is a medical doctor - he knows the man is gay because he tried to get down with him!
To sum of my point, what you will find in these churches: ungodly living, unhealthy competition, gossip, people looking down on low earners/those who don't know how to dress. Although, if you are a typical shallow minded, cunning and rugged Nigerian, you may fit right in!

Other black churches (VPA, New Wine etc..) Scandalous. very scandalous churches. Either the pastors are involved in one scandal or another, or there is heavy rumour mongering amongst the congregation.

White Baptist or Anglican Churches: Extremely boring!

White Pentecostal churches: Praise and worship is like a Mumford &Sons concert : bright lights, huge band on stage, loud music where everyone jumps up and down during service. You may come across a few black people here and there but will find that they are often disenfranchised and not properly integrated within the church community. They show acceptance to blacks but it's often shallow (if you know what I mean).

Ghanian churches (like Lighthouse): Generally ok churches. Not much drama and the true members stick together like family. You tend to find a few Nigerians in these churches as well.. the ratio would be 70% Ghanaian 30% Nigerian. If you're looking for a black church with less 9ja like dramatics, go to lighthouse. Oh and brace yourself to always shout "mercy", "preach it!" during sermon cheesy

Ikr! He does make sense but what he said to the Nigerian lady was weird as hell and he's wrong about some things too and can't be told anything

Recipe book with her own invented meals? What does that even mean?

The girl can cook and that's what matters.

He also said she's overweight at 5ft 7& 170 pounds, that's borderline to me.

And he said the average woman's weight should be 120 pounds at 5 ft 4

I don't think he realises how skinny 120 pounds is?
I used to be that weight for the longest and hated it.
I'm 5ft 3 and 133 currently and I still feel skinny.

Image consultant lol

Don't even get me started on the 6 months thing, no wonder he's been married twice.
Imagine consultant indeed cheesy

I have to give it to him tho.. KS is a smart man. He created the perfect platform of which he can capitalise and make huge profits, having identified the desperation of these AA women.. he knows 3rd wave feminism has backfired woefully and women are now more lonely than ever before (especially in the West).

He talks to his callers any which kinda way, knowing they won't dare challenge him even though half of what he says is complete and utter bull.
The worst part is when ladies call in just to beg Kevin to rate their looks. Like c'mon, seriously? Though I find myself cracking up when he plays that "overweight" trumpet sound grin

Such an egocentric, funny, sheisty & petty snake oil salesman!

1Sharon:
How is he leading women astray?

He's brutally honest.

Not all women will get the man they dream off, some women are just delusional and have lost it.
1Sharon:
@leshurr, I'm guessing you were cussing me out and got your response to me hidden?
@1Sharon, I'm gonna repost what I said yesterday which the antispam bot deleted:

Yes, I agree that KS is brutally honest, but he is also a hypocrite who sets unrealistic standards for women.

He dismissed the 9ja lady because she doesn't have a recipe book with her own invented meals. Isn't that ridiculous?..he believes a woman deserving of a hvm should have her own original recipes, because, according to him, being a good cook is simply not enough as you are copying someone else's recipe.

He also tells women to end relationships where the man hasn't proposed within 6 months - 1 year. Very unrealistic to expect people to make such a life changing decision (marriage) within a matter of months.

read well and ask questions. I gave direct examples of those related to me, all you should do is ask me about the other parties. The same story goes for them. Ify is currently childless as well. We all grew up at ilorin . My uncle's woman got married, within two years , the marriage packed up. She is 52 and also living an aimless life
Hmm how convenient undecided
RomanceRe: The Kevin Samuels Thread by Leshurr(f): 10:49am On Jan 22, 2021
Kevin Samuels is leading women astray. His aim is to insult women no matter the category you fall into.

If a lady is single, he will ridicule her and say she's got no hope of finding a spouse.
If she's divorced, he will tell her to return to her cheating husband else she will die alone.
If a lady tells him she's dating an average guy, he will put doubt into her mind by telling her he cannot afford to build a family with her with anything less than $100k - $300k per year.
If she wants a rich guy, he will reign insults and remind her that she's not deserving of one.

Confused fellow.
RomanceRe: Reactions As Nigerian Man Took A Blood Oath With Girlfriend, Flaunts Pictures by Leshurr(f): 10:30am On Jan 22, 2021
adadike:
Please my people , at the mere mention of blood oath, please run away as fast as your two legs can carry you. One of my uncle (59 years) is unmarried today and living a confused lifestyle because of blood oath. A cousin of mine childless coz the husband took oath with a girl who later married someone else.
In both examples you gave, how come the consequences of blood oath only affected one party?

Seems to me that the so called consequences only affect those who allow themselves to be mentally chained to the act - if you believe you are tied down somewhere, you will surely live a life limited to your defeated mindset.

If your cousin's ex-girlfriend married someone else and went on to have children, that shows that your cousin's problem has nothing to do with any useless blood oath.

Africans must liberate themselves from barbaric belief systems.
