If you Give Buhari America to rule, he'll turn it into an underdeveloped country in less than 3yrs & blame Abraham Lincoln. |
Atiku will win south west, north central, south south and sout east. He will lose north east and north west, excluding Kano and Kaduna. The result will be shocking. |
Don't do "let me pepper Dem" with your vote. Hunger will pepper you & I for 4 years. All of us. |
Few days ago, it was alleged on newspaper that it is Iran that is sponsoring Atiku because of the Zaria massacre Bubu perpetrated, in which hundreds of Shia Muslims were killed by trigger happy soldiers in Zaria in December, 2015. Today it is France. And then it is America. It looks like the entire world, including majority of Nigerians, want Bubu gone. Bubu is bad product for economic progress. An impediment to economic growth and prosperity. |
APCsupporter:It isn't true. As a group, the Shia IMN do not ask its followers to vote. The decision to vote or not to is left to the individual. The group recently released a statement that Buhari wants to use security forces to prevent IMN members from voting. https://pointer-express.online/2019/02/15/buhari-is-planning-to-stop-islamic-movement-from-voting/ I think this time around most of them will vote (against APC), after the Zaria massacre and the refusal of Buhari to obey court order to release their leader from detention. And there is an estimated 5 million (minimum) to 25 million (maximum) Shia Muslims in Nigeria. |
Was Tinubu in Nigeria when the Zaria massacre took place and Bubu justified it on national TV? Hundreds of Nigerians were killed in Zaria because they are Shi'ites, following a version of Islam different from Bubu's Sunni Islam. God will save Nigeria. |
The president is tense and desperate. Sensing defeat, such utterances are natural. |
This sounds like an order to shoot at sight! It contravenes the spirit of free and peaceful elections. Likely an attempt to deter the opposition rigging, while the ruthlessness will not befall the ruling party when its own agents rig. |
Someone is acting as Bubu's agent to collect as many stray votes as possible. That's is point. |
When Buhari was campaigning for 2015, did he not go to America for support? Didnt Obama record a message to Nigerians? Didn't John Kerry visit Buhari and Tinubu in Nigeria? When you start something, don't blame others for continuing on that path. If not for the threat of foreign military intervention, African leaders will not vacate the presidential seat after losing election. The Gbagbo precedence continues to haunt African leaders. And the chance that any African leader who's believed by foreign observers to have lost an election and insist on rigging or manipulating the election will be removed by the use of force is very high. If African leaders did not want this to happen to them, they shouldn't have allowed France and the US start it in the ivory coast. Buhari knows his chances of reelection are very slim. So now he is complaining of the lion he rode to aso rock. |
Is it just me, or do others observe in the pictures the sadness and somber mood written all over the faces of those around him and on his face too? He knows defeat is near! |
madridguy:And the election will hold as scheduled and no further postponement? Or rather won't that be used by the incumbent, sensing defeat, to gain time and further postpone the elections? It is the president who will after all appoint an acting chairman. |
Some people are already saying the INEC chairman should resign for not meeting up to the election schedule. The question is what if he resigns? Can the election be postponed indefinitely? Can that be used by the incumbent to gain time of six months to a year? Pls those aware of INEC rules should enlighten us. idom101: Levant: |
idom101:Are you sure you know what you're calling for? What will happen if the inec chairman resigns? Won't it take Bubu time to appoint another chairman? That means six months or a year postponement? Pls someone should enlighten us on this. It looks like this plan can unfold and before we know it, election is postponed for a year. |
There is a difference between 6 days and 7 days. |

Buhari is sure to win not more than 7 states and all of them are core northern states. Katsina, Sokoto, Zamfara, Jigawa, Kebbi, Bauchi and Yobe. Kano and Kaduna are for Atiku. 30 states and the FCT are all battleground states and more likely for Atiku to win them ALL. After the election, Buhari will be shocked. That's an honest observation and I'm not voting and I dont belong to either party. |
vengertime:This was published yesterday. In another man's country you want to shoot and fight law enforcement agents? |

Attack on our officers by Nigerians won’t go unanswered – GIS By Mohammed Awal - February 13, 2019 The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has set up a committee to probe an attack on some of its men by some Nigerian nationals at Budumburam at Kasoa. Some Nigerians in a video which has since gone viral are seen preventing officers of the Immigration Service on duty to check on the resident permits of the foreigners. The Nigerians are seen blocking the vehicle the officers are driving in with pieces of cement blocks and wooden objects to prevent the officers from leaving the scene. The officers looked on helplessly as they could not move their vehicle from the scene as a result of the blockage. The head of public affairs at the Ghana immigration service, Superintendent Michael Amoako Atta reacting to the incident told Starr News a committee has been set up to probe the matter. He said the service will not “sit idle" for this to go unanswered. https://starrfm.com.gh/2019/02/attack-on-our-officers-by-nigerians-wont-go-unanswered-gis/ |
The constitution says the CJN can be removed through the judiciary and the senate. The constitution also gives the power to the president to suspend or remove those he appointed. Since the president cannot remove the CJN, he suspended him using the loophole in this instance. He is still acting within his legal powers given to him constitutionally. "Suspend" is mentioned in the constitution. And that the president can. If you're not happy with the CJN's suspension, start working to amend the constitution and stop whining. Those crying, especially from the opposition, only got shocked because they could not outsmart the president. It appears the opposition has interest in the CJN in relation to the upcoming elections and electoral tribunals. And the president ensured that he tightened the loose bolts who can be compromised. Will you blame anyone for protecting his interests and acting swiftly? And had this CJN not "forgotten" to declare his billions and 55 houses, we won't have had all this noise. Someone who forgets that he owns 55 houses and billions is that one fit to be CJN? Isn't that sign of dementia? The CJN should use his billions and heal his dementia. He needs to rest. This act by the presidency should send clear warning to the corrupt eggs in the judiciary, be they judges or lawyers or whatever judicial position anyone holds. The acts of using the law to make turnarounds and outsmart the system and people have expired. This CJN should have simply resigned. But he was abusing laws and legal processes and due processes to circumvent the eventuality. And Buhari did him right. The same goes on where/if the legal processes are hijacked and cases linger on for many years and all the delay in giving the common man justice is impeded. Our CJN wanted to use the law against the law. To use the legal processes against the system to shield himself and buy time. And some people under cover of religion, tribal, ethnic and partisan sentiments are accusing the president, and not the CJN of abusing the law. The law is not meant to be toyed with. It is to be upheld and enforced. And if a strong hand doesn't enforce and uphold and uplift the law, the laws will only be toys and decorations. Mr President should continue his good work in building a cleansed judiciary to uphold justice. Mr President will restore the hope of the common man in the fairness, uprightness and transparency of the judiciary. No one should complain here about constitution and law and democracy under hypocritical guise. The president has acted within legal power vested in him. We should be fair in realizing that. And we should accept that a state figure as huge as the CJN can forget how many houses and money he owns and failed to declare them. Next time, others should not forget. Very simple. In a sane environment, this act by the president will win him trust and confidence of everyone. But in our situation, this act of strict uprightness is winning the president undeserved criticism. His enemies are using this case to milk it and politicize it and twist it in their favor against the president and the rightful action he carried out. This swift action by the president is what we should commend and hope for more in his second term. |
Could it be that the president is prosecuting Inoghen because of the brouhaha that may arise after the upcoming election? What if Onoghen refuses to swear in the winner (possibly the incumbent) because the election would be seen as not free and fair? Can this be related ? Can't that lead to parallel govts and presidents like what's going on in Venezuela? |
How do some people sleep at night? |
Do you really think that Osinbanjo acted alone without Buhari's knowledge in sacking Daura? If he acted alone, what will be the consequences when Buhari returns? If it was to the knowledge of Buhari, then why was Daura scapegoated? Could Daura have acted alone? Weren't the houses of Saraki and Ekweremadu besieged right under buhari's nose? Or could this be a plot to sell Osinbanjo to the people for 2019? That means we may witness Buhari relinquishing his 2019 ambition to save APC? How will this play out? |
I strongly believe this article is a scam to paint the power hungry tyrant in good light. Shame! There's no way he can win in 2019. No magic. The votes he gathered in the southwest and north central in 2015 will not be available in 2019. Even in the north east and north west, he will be challenged in the election by another northerner (likely Atiku or Kwankwaso). He should just pack his bags and give up any ambition of contesting in 2019, if he doesn't want to be humiliated in handing over like GEJ and if he really has Nigeria at heart. He will only win if he rigs the election. That may draw international and national outcry. It will further destabilize Nigeria and turn it into an internationally described and labelled dictatorship. It will also increase chances of a military coup and make justification for it. That will be sad for democracy. The country will be very unstable and further turmoil will be unleashed. Buhari and his thirst for power are endangering the existence of not only Nigeria's democracy, but the very existence of Nigeria. I hope Mama Great Britain will warn him. I really don't know how fighting corruption should lead to economic disaster instead of economic growth. What an oxymoron. Buhari has failed economically. I won't even talk about security and killings, from IPOB to Zaria Massacre of Shia Muslims to killings by his kinsmen. I have the feeling that he wakes up in the villa and does nothing. He attends meetings and forgets what happened five minutes later. He is old. His health is failing him, even though his intentions may be good in general. And now his intentions are being tested. If he has good intentions for Nigeria as many peddle in the media, he should ordain another northerner like himself to carry out his reforms. Otherwise, he will either kill APC and lose woefully, or win at the detriment of Nigeria. That will not spell any good intentions. Let him quit. Better to have a heir taking over than the opposition to defeat him. GEJ failed to see the same thing and hand over to a northerner and create good name for himself that might have made him a future president. |
