PoliticsRe: Without Lagos & Rivers: Check The VAT Generated By Each Geopolitical Zone by leviaka: 10:00pm On Dec 19, 2025
Very funny accessment, VAT contribution actually means nothing, if you really want to know the economic viability of each region let us practice true federalism, in usa California is the richest , and Mississippi is the poorest because genuine economic factors are applied, resources are controlled by the states and not the federal government , they contribute to the center , each states in usa is forced to depend on the resources they have,
Unlike nigeria where oil wealth is shared and the wealth is used by each region for development, and these wealth indirectly contributes to the VAT generated by each region , let each region control their resources and you will know who bhe true parasites are

PoliticsRe: Babangida's Autobiography: Results Of 1993 Elections "Won" By MKO Abiola by leviaka: 11:53am On Feb 21, 2025
Abiola won over 45% of Igbo votes , he won Anambra state, this shows how detribalised igbos are.
We igbos don’t believe politicians will make us rich, we believe in God and hardwork unlike some people who thrive in thuggery, tribalism and hate, they are always uncomfortable in the presence of igbos they cannot compete in a fair atmosphere without federal support, the civil war was fought to control Nigeria’s resources, they built Lagos and abuja with resources they don’t and will never have, they are afraid of BIAFRA, they are afraid of NNAMDI KANU, they are afraid of IGBOS , they made a mess of Nigeria even though they are in control, they ruined everything, countries like korea, malaysia, India, Brazil , Singapore, are far ahead of them, they are ashamed to admit their failures, they are suffering the economic hardship by there incompetent leaders who have stolen this country’s wealth.
NEPOTISM , TRIBALISM, STUPIDITY has been there trade mark, they have passed this to generation of their children who foolishly believe igbos are there problem, travel round the whole country what you will see is, GLOOM, DOOM, POVERTY, SHANTIES, KIDNAPPERS,BANDITS, CORRUPTION, MISERY, HATRED.
Am really ashamed of being part of a failed state
Nairaland GeneralBetween Donald Trump And Balthasar Egonga Who Should Be The Man Of The Year by leviaka(op): 9:27pm On Nov 07, 2024
Dear Nairalanders
Between Donald Trump and Balthasar Egonga who should be crowned Man of the year ?

Let’s take a look at their profiles

Donald Trump
He made a remarkable comeback, by defeating Kamala Harris, after most predictions favored her.
Trump became a non consecutive president, something that was last seen during the presidency of grover Cleveland in 1886
People are saying we are in Trump Era, after surviving an assassin attack, and going through several criminal cases , Trump came out triumphant.

Balthasar Egonga
Equatorial Guinea came into Scrutiny After a minister Balthasar was found with 400 sex tapes of women, most of them married women,
Including the wives of the highs and mighty of that country, what surprised people was most of these women agreed to be taped, some went to him several times, I keep wondering how this man was able to achieve this , including sleeping with the president’s daughter, his security mans wife , his uncle’s pregnant wife, his junior brother’s wife to name a few, he has been trending online.

Whom do we give the man of the year to even , when the year has not actually ended.

It’s wrong to kill people and it must be condemned, this is hate taken too far, but we must not forget a certain monarch who before the election threatened a particular tribe and promised to drown them in the lagoon, and the video of our First Lady insulting igbos, promised to chase them away, to every action there is always a reaction.
I will never support the killings of any human being because life is sacred , our people from the SW are hypocrites, they hate igbos so much and pretend about it, to stop all this tribal hatred the country should be restructured we are not one, and will never be one.
Hatred will not stop anytime soon.

PoliticsYoruba Community In Enugu Gets First Oba by leviaka(op): 9:10pm On Aug 20, 2024
@leviaka a social commentator.

The Yoruba community in Enugu State has
unanimously selected Alhaji Abdulazeez Adebayo as its new traditional ruler.

Adebayo, who hails from Osun, became the first ever Oba of the community since the history of Yorubas living in Enugu.

Speaking during the community’s meeting on Tuesday in Enugu, the new traditional ruler, said that seven states of Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Ondo, Ekiti, Lagos, Kogi and Kwara, made up the Yoruba community in Enugu.

Adebayo revealed that Yoruba ethnic nationality in the state comprised Ibadan Progressive Union, Ede Descendants, as well as Olateji, Ekiti, Ondo, Ilorin Descendant Unions.

I came to Enugu on Feb.7, 1979 and since then, I have lived peacefully in the state,” he said.

While urging them for support, love and unity, Adebayo appealed to other Yorubas, who were not in the fold, to join the community.

In his remarks, one of the aspirants, Chief Valentine Adesina, noted that there had been leadership tussle among the aspirants.

“After the general meeting, they agreed to have a committee that will look into that; we were about seven including me but it was reduced to three.

“We didn’t do an election but we considered certain criteria like age and character; at the end of the day, the elders came up with Adebayo.

“He has been one of the pioneer members piloting the affairs of the community for about 35 years now.

“For that singular reason, he knows more than most of us; most Yoruba elders that started with him had gone back home, while others had died.

“I decided to step down for him to move the community forward,” Adesina said.
From vanguard newspaper

So Nigerians what are your views on this, some south westerners believe there are no Yoruba’s in the south east, even in Owerri at Douglas road you will see the secretariat of the Yoruba community.
Ethnic hatred cannot take us anywhere as a country, the idiots that started this Igbo must leave Lagos campaign which was to commence today 20th of August I hope they understand that whatever they start will end up consuming them also.

This warning goes to YORUBA GLOBAL who posts so much hatred against igbos on TikTok
I wonder why the Authorities has not arrested the person in charge of such posts

Politics# IGBO Must GO # The Real Reason by leviaka(op): 12:37am On Aug 11, 2024
@leviaka a social commentator

The ultimate objective of this slogans

(1) igbo must leave south west
(2) Igbo must leave North

These slogans means, the systematic elimination of the privileges of the igbos, that is removing them from the Nigerian society, separating the Nigerian wheat from the Igbo chaff, splitting these two elements, pushing them to their various regions

These Anti Igbo political theory, has always been a tool to put them in check, to weaken them , other Nigeria’s see the igbos as Anti Nationalistic and the Adversaries to beat, they are always condemned and repudiated , all the ills of the society are blamed on them

The downward spiral of the Nigerian Economy, started from the last regime, they destroyed the very fabric that holds the Unity and prosperity of this great Nation, a leader who was clueless, wicked, nepotistic, dull, unintelligent with a religious far right inclination, he was a Greek gift, his eight years of disastrous rule destroyed the very spirit of this nation, General Abacha or Tunde idiagbon would have been better presidents, if elected .

The hatred for the igbos will keep growing if this bigotry is not stopped, hate speeches by the likes of Reno omokri who has. Been consistent In demonizing our people who even said general Gowon would have wiped all the igbos not some of us through starvation during the civil war,
This hate speech against Peter OBI and Indigbo by Reno omokri will someday be expressed violently, so I plead with the authorities and Igbo elected officials to call MR Omokri to order.

These hate speeches has galvanized the rest of the country against indigbo , Adolf Hitler did the same to the jews through hate speeches, 6 million jews and 30 million Russians where killed in Second World War, the German public were hypnotized by his hate speeches, he was an eloquent orator , a squawker without shame, he started a war that consumed him

The Real Reason for this hatred is to make sure that igbos are never reintegrated or made president , Peter OBI’s performance in the last election shocked them, even defeating APC in Lagos and Abuja ,

For Nigeria to succeed I believe we need a New people’s constitution written by men of intelligence, and adopted by referendum, American constitution was written by intelligent men like, James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, John jay and a few others in 1789 the constitution guaranteed freedom of religion and freedom of speech .

Igbo elites and politicians especially the elected ones should stop being Complacent and be more vocal on issues concerning hate speeches by the likes of omokri, Yoruba global on TikTok which I believe should be banned , Yoruba global posts hatred against our people on TikTok always

HATE SPEECHES BY OMOKRI AGAINST PETER OBI AND IGBOS IF NOT STOPPED MIGHT LEAD TO BLOODSHED SOMEDAY , AND WE DON’T PRAY FOR THAT

GOD bless INDIGBO
GOD Bless PRESIDENT TINUBU
GOD bless NiGERIA.

Hanging On: Can Nigeria Escape Disaster and Fulfill Its Promise?

Nigeria's security czar pulled a mobile phone from his white gown to show a video of a man with his head wrapped in a full turban. Addressing the camera somewhere in the scrubby badlands of northern Nigeria, the figure made a statement from behind mirrored goggles.

"This is one of the biggest bandits," National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu told Newsweek. "And he wants to stop fighting."
Attempts at economic reform, along with capital flight exacerbated by cryptocurrency transfers, have led to a tumbling currency and soaring inflation in a nation that was already home to more of the world's extreme poor than all bar one country. Nigeria sits near the bottom of international corruption leagues and has earned a reputation as a home to scammers who operate globally to trick Americans and others of their savings.

If the world's biggest Black nation can fulfill the potential it has long been credited with, it could become a driving force for the continent and beyond. American companies are in the forefront of those eager to invest. Nigerian authors, musicians, artists, businesspeople and global public officials have given the world a taste of its talents.

But failure and fragmentation could spell a disaster of vast scale, spilling conflict across Africa and sending an even larger human wave fleeing to seek safety and new lives in Europe and worldwide.

President Bola Tinubu described Nigeria's challenges as "steep and multiple" in an address on Democracy Day, June 12, some 25 years after the return of democracy to a country that had previously been under long spells of army rule. Tinubu's office declined to answer Newsweek's questions on the record.

FEA01_Nigeria_02
Nigerian President Bola Tinubu arrives ahead of the
Tinubu, 72, a former governor of the megacity of Lagos, had been a wheeler-dealer in a money-fueled Nigerian political scene that was widely regarded with skepticism by Nigerians. He took office after a fraught election in 2023 that was challenged by his rivals and won with less than 10 percent of registered voters following a low turnout.

Oil-producing Nigeria's economy is now forecast to sink to fourth place on the continent behind Egypt, South Africa and Algeria. The naira currency has lost more than half its value against the dollar. Inflation stands at nearly 34 percent year on year.

"Nigeria is definitely on the edge. So any event could spark, just like a match," said Michael Nwankpa, executive director of the Centre for African Conflict and Development. "I would lean more toward Nigeria will survive because Nigerians are very resilient, but there are so many factors that threaten its unity," he told Newsweek.

History of Religious Violence
No problem is more fundamental than security in a country that is roughly split between Muslims and Christians, and which has a history of religious violence, even if the Muslim president's marriage to a Christian pastor underlines what is often a high degree of tolerance too. Friction is often more about ethnic differences in a country whose boundaries were set by 19th century British colonialists, and which has over 250 ethnic groups.

FEA01_Nigeria_06
MATTHEW TOSTEVIN
"I would suggest that Nigeria at present is not holding together," former U.S. Ambassador John Campbell told Newsweek. "What you have is a government whose writ runs in only certain parts of the country and there are alternative power centers all over the country."

The bloodiest of Nigeria's 21st-century wars have been with the jihadist factions stemming from the Boko Haram insurgency in northern Nigeria—and whose 2014 abduction of 276 schoolgirls sparked the global "Bring Back Our Girls" campaign. But authorities also contend with separatists in the southeast, which tried to break away as independent Biafra in the 1960s; unrest in the oil-producing Niger Delta; centuries-old clashes between farmers and cattle herders; plus a general wave of banditry.

"A mix of challenges and improvements" is the way the situation over the past year was characterized by Beacon Security and Intelligence Limited, a consultancy based in the capital, Abuja. It recorded 7,519 incidents with 9,892 fatalities and 6,292 abducted persons in the year to May 2024, noting those figures had risen by over 37 percent, four percent and 30 percent respectively on the previous year.

But National Security Adviser Ribadu, a reputed former corruption fighter, said there were increasing signs of success, even if the government had not trumpeted them. Islamist groups had been repelled. With the bandits, there had been success using persuasion rather than "kinetic" methods, he said. "We talk to them. This has to stop in everybody's interest."

Parts of Nigeria are seeing improvements. That includes the capital, Abuja, which was shaken by a series of nearby attacks in 2023. Infighting among Islamist factions has also helped ease some pressure on security forces. "In the past four or five months now, the sounds of assault rifles in the middle of the night have come down seriously," media executive Lawal Sani Kona told Newsweek from far northeastern town Jalingo. "There have been serious operations by both vigilantes and in collaboration with the authorities. And a lot of these people have been flushed. Some of them have been arrested, some have died in crossfire," he said."Even in the rural areas now, people are returning to their farms. It has not completely gone, but it has come down."

Economic Pain Intensified
Insecurity driving farmers from their land has pushed up food prices and exacerbated economic pain across Nigeria. The depth of that pain intensified with the removal of subsidies on gasoline after Tinubu took office last year. He also freed up an exchange rate system. The naira tumbled, sending import prices skyrocketing. "It is very difficult for any individual to survive in this country," said food seller Emmanuelle Bassey, sitting with a pile of smoked fish and vegetables at a food market in Lagos, the giant commercial capital.

You can see people going crazy. They are not crazy, they are hungry. They are frustrated, they don't have work to do, they don't have anywhere to go.
Not only the poorest are affected. In Lagos, shiny new buildings and giant mansions behind high walls show the massive wealth that some have acquired. But at the high-end Nike Art Gallery, owner Nike Davies-Okundaye says business has suffered as art has slipped down the list of priorities. "People have been finding it difficult because not everyone can eat three times [a day] now because it is so expensive," she told Newsweek.

For decades, the World Bank and International Monetary Fund advised Nigeria to remove the subsidies on fuel and to free up the naira because it was spending billions of dollars a year to support them. Subsidies became one of many avenues for corruption—with some cronies making fortunes on fuel imports and others benefiting from a favored exchange rate to cash in foreign exchange for an immediate profit.

"The reforms we have initiated are intended to create a stronger, better foundation for future growth. There is no doubt the reforms have occasioned hardship. Yet, they are necessary repairs required to fix the economy over the long run so that everyone has access to economic opportunity, fair pay and compensation for his endeavor and labor," Tinubu said.

FEA01_Nigeria_04

The currency collapse was exacerbated by capital flight aided by cryptocurrency trades, authorities say. They accuse the world's largest crypto platform, Binance, of manipulating exchange rates, financing terrorism and money laundering.

Binance, which was fined over $4 billion in the U.S. on anti-money laundering and other charges, denies any wrongdoing and has called for the release of a U.S. executive now facing charges in Abuja. Another one absconded and fled the country.

While the removal of the subsidies should have freed up spending, some Nigerians complain that they are not seeing any benefit while their leaders thrive. Nigeria's presidency has rejected opposition leader Peter Obi's criticism of plans to buy a new presidential jet, which officials call a necessity. Obi's Labour Party did not respond to a request for comment.

'A One-Trick Pony'
"If you are within the corridors of power, then everything is fine," said Ebenezer Obadare from the U.S.-based Council on Foreign Relations, who nonetheless said that the removal of the subsidies was the right thing to do.

"They've done it, but it's not part of any larger, broader program that will boost the Nigerian economy," he told Newsweek. "Part of the problem is that Nigeria, economically speaking, is a one-trick pony."

There is much that remains to be done. But equally there is a sense of optimism amongst investors that Nigeria is moving in the right direction.
That one trick is crude oil. Official production fell to its lowest since the 1980s in 2022 due to chronic underinvestment and turmoil in the Niger Delta, where communities demand more of the wealth for themselves and abet industrial-scale oil theft. Far behind other populous countries such as Brazil or Indonesia—let alone India or China—Nigeria has consistently failed to diversify its economy. On a list of countries ranked by economic complexity, Nigeria ranks 127th out of 133, latest available data shows. There has been better news on oil production recently. Falling unrest helped push production back above 1.4 million barrels of oil per day and it is forecast by the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission to keep rising.

Nigeria's other big foreign currency earner has been its people. Remittances from migrants—the largest group of them in the U.S.—are estimated to be above $20 billion a year, making a much bigger difference for many families than any official help. The devaluation of the naira also means that those who get money from abroad see greater spending power on the ground. One of the main international concerns for Nigeria's future is far bigger emigration from the country and West African neighbors if it were to spiral out of control. "Population flows are directly tied to the downward trajectory in Nigeria," said former ambassador Campbell.

'Sense of Optimism'
Not everyone is downbeat on Nigeria, however. The devaluation has made some assets look cheap and foreign investors are bringing money back into treasury bills yielding over 20 percent. Real estate and stocks are now looking like better value as well.

"Throughout recent months, growth has actually surprised positively. There should be a further acceleration to come, helped by improved agricultural production and some recovery in oil production, as well as a slowing of inflation going forward.

FEA01_Nigeria_09
AKINTUNDE AKINLEYE
"This is hardly likely to be evident to most Nigerians, so for now the cost of the reform is likely uppermost in most people's minds," Khan told Newsweek.

Adetilewa Adebajo, CEO at The CFG Advisory in Lagos, told Newsweek: "I think that is probably going to take another year until we can see if there's light at the end of the tunnel."

For President Tinubu: "The initial rays of a brighter tomorrow now appear on the early horizon. An abundant future and our capacity to achieve that future lie within our reach."

But Nigerians have heard appeals for patience and promises of greatness before. For those in a race against time to survive, the wait is already too long.

PoliticsWho Are The Ikwerres ? by leviaka(op): 2:29am On Jul 07, 2024
@leviaka A Social Commentator
This Writeup will come in 3 parts

PART ONE
I will Start by Asking the Ikwerre royalty with all due respect to tell us their History without prejudice, but with facts, and concrete Evidence to corroborate WHO THEY TRULY ARE and also I want ikwerres in this Forum to contribute to some of the issues I will raise.

If the royalties in ikwerre land can Swear with their gods or GOD or make an advert in the newspapers or in any social media, of their true identity, maybe it will put to rest this saga of who they truly are.
I say this because most royalties are the custodian of their cultures, traditions, histories, the British monarchy is almost a thousand years old, they have records of all their kings from willam the conqueror in 1066a.d to King Charles 2024 presently. Likewise the bini kingdom has records of their empire with proves.

This Assertion that they are from BINI,or are EDO in origin can confuse any sane man, because I have not seen anyl link or connection between the binis or ikwerres , because I lived in Benin city for 4years during my university undergraduate years and I grew up in port harcourt in my early years as a child because my mother is from river state, she is kalabari precisely.

Their maybe some links which am ignorant of, please I want to be educated on this subject, am not here to insult the sensibilities of any tribe, I just want to know history, am really curious about this, but an oath by these royalties in ikwerre land before any explanation, will go a long way in solving these issue.once and for all.

Let evidence be given with facts.

QUESTIONS

1). When the binis speak do the ikwerres understand.
2). Has their been any Archeological find that connect them with bini people?
3). What was the former name of port harcourt
4).let them explain the migratory pattern of their ancestors from bini to their present location.?
4) Did they meet any body when they arrived ?
5) Is their any word in ikwerre similar to bini language ?
6) let them show us any relics or artifacts in their palaces similar to that of the binis ?
7) When they settled in their present location, did they have OBA , or did the Igbo people force them to bear EZE
cool Did only the men migrate, ? Since they claim igbos women influence their culture and traditions
9) why did they not give their villages bini names
10) Has any oba of bini corroborated their stories

Please let this questions be answered without mischief, let the ikwerres tell the whole world about their identity

As an Igbo man born after the civil war, I will appreciate it if the identity of the ikwerres are put to rest, let them choose whom they want
to be, but let it be convincing,
Me personally don’t really care whom they want to be, what I really want to know is their origin but with FACTS
GOD BLESS THE IKWERRES.
GOD BLESS THE IGBOS .
GOD BLESS NIGERIA ,

IGBOS have a high prosperity rate, and literacy rates, read Frederick Forsyth’s book on Nigeria civil war , you are lucky the British came to your aid, your region would have gone the way of niger, mali, Mauritania, etc oil in Igbo speaking regions and the minorities will soon be a no go area for your big for nothing barren land, remember the Christians in the north voted obi, he won abuja, nassarawa, and plateau, the ego the British gave to your region will be deflated via restructuring, the Yoruba agitation in Ibadan should be a thing of thought for you, time will come when the misrule of Nigeria by successive government will trigger a change for restructuring, I wonder how your poverty region will cope, if am you I will be praying for Nigeria to remain one and be grateful to God for being part of Nigeria, Nigeria would not have been the same if tinubu has not been given power, and your elites know these

It’s funny when only kids with no knowledge gives comments in nairaland, FEC has approved projects in the south east in the past , Enugu to Cameroon has been approved, when you read kid’s comment you will think the IGBOS are the worst affected by APC years of misrule , it’s mainly kids from the south west, that has been brainwashed, agbor is an ibo speaking area, Ifeanyi okowa is from there, he said it himself that he is Igbo, all the Yoruba state cannot be compared to the 5 eastern states, with all this projects FEC has announced still those state looks like slums.
Yoruba standard of living cannot be compared to igbos, most Yoruba people live in slums in places like Lagos island where houses are so close to each other, you have lots of Agbero in your land, lots of poor people, and less educated people, you all are seeing hell in APC government, yet where your brain is channeled to anything Igbo or Peter OBI to make you feel good at the the same time you are hungry and living in abject poverty, Igbo people are more than you in every indices of life, you kids should visit the south east and see mansions and progress, come to festac, come to Okota and see life compared to mushin and isale eko, most of your people are suffering yet your joy in nairaland is when you feel igbos are short changed, you are not concerned about improving your miserable agbero life Keep hating and igbos will keep progressing.

We have to get it right this time in the history of this country.
Tribalism and corruption has ruined this nation , yet we want to be like Germany, Japan or even usa, no civilized country will tolerate this, we always support our leaders based on tribalism and religion, core north and The Yoruba Muslims has done an irreparable damage to this country, Buhari being the worst, his region was the worst hit after his 8 disastrous years of misrule always supported by EMILOKON who is now on the saddle .
Imagine the kind of men APC an evil party has fostered on this country , truth be told compare, Jonathan, Buhari and tinubu and I wonder, who Nigerians would have wished for, if you turn back the hand of the clock , only those with brain damage would wish for tinubu or Buhari and I believe majority of Yoruba Muslims and core north will still wish for both men hence proving these two regions don’t have the capability to develop Nigeria , the middle belt Christians are far better than this two overhyped poor regions without any reasonable mineral resources, their survival is based on being part of Nigeria, they can’t survive on their own, both regions are like hurricanes and tornadoes that destroys everything that comes along its part, they have destroyed this nation since the end of the civil war. They put round pegs in square holes, they always laugh at IIGBOS who are far smarter than both put together, the questions me as an IGBO man will always ask is , you always say we cant be president, yes we can’t but my question is Why don’t you have the capability to develop Nigeria, to be like even Singapore since you have been ruling for years? And the answer is simple because YOU DONT HAVE THE BRAINS, my sympathy will always go to genuine Nigerians who want real change in the way things are done, We igbos are different from you , our value system, preferences and dislikes , are different from yours that is why we can never vote for APC.
TV/MoviesWhy Is There No NTA IGBO In Startime? by leviaka(op): 12:55am On Oct 09, 2023
As a Nigerian of Igbo origin, I often wondered why Startime has so many arewa and Yoruba channels and just one igbo channel ISIMBIDO , I don’t know the reason for this, but I think more Igbo channels should be introduced, igbos will enjoy Startime more ,if more Igbo channels are introduced.
I don’t know if they have any presence in the east , we have a strong middle class in all parts of the country, it’s a way to get more customers, if they introduce documentary channels in Igbo language or movies , news in Igbo language, I bet you there will be an increase in there customer base, for me I believe they just want to capture customers in the north and south west only with so many of their channels, they want startime to be attractive to only these two regions.
To whoever owns Startime am just making a suggestion.

PoliticsNigeria At 63 (TRIBALISM ) The Bane Of Our Problems @ Leviaka by leviaka(op): 7:17am On Oct 01, 2023
Let me start by congratulating Nigerians for being alive as we mark our 63rd anniversary as a country.
It has been a long, rough road to this moment of our national life, I wish the country will get its bearings right and steer the ship of state, towards, prosperity and unity, I know our ship is in a heavy storm, with lightning striking parts of it causing damages , to its engines, it is being tossed to and fro, with despair and hopelessness, those aboard are scared that the ship will soon get wrecked, the storm has caused panic, so many are alarmed and has loosed hope on the captain of the ship, people had seen tsunamis trying to inundate the ship, so many are carrying their bibles and Koran’s praying fervently for the storm to be over, with sharks surrounding the ship waiting for its meal.
In such a hopeless situation it’s possible for that ship to overcome all its challenges, if it has a well experienced captain (that has the fear off GOD).
Some will say our diversity is our strength , others will disagree and say our diversity is our weakness, a country with the largest concentration of the black race on earth with the largest economy in Africa, these country was woven by a foreign power for it’s own benefits , but these country has the potential of being great, if things are properly done .
TRIBALISM has been the peak of our problems, from the onset of this country’s life, the founding fathers being 3 (ZIK , AWO, BELLO) has been at loggerheads, of who will dominate, most countries has one founding fathers USA (George Washington), turkey (kamel Atartuk), , Ghana, (Kwame Nkrumah), Kenya (jomo Kenyatta,), Singapore( lee kwan yew) Russia (Vladimir lenin), china (Mao zedong) South Africa (Nelson Mandela) etc.
Our three founding fathers laid the foundation of TRIBALISM , each three regions had no trust in the other regions, they only had trust in themselves, I have seen videos of Ahmadu bello talking ill about igbos, I have read books (the 5 majors ) of Ben gbulie making derogatory comments on the northerners, I have read magazines were Arthur Nzeribe wrote articles hating the Yoruba’s and I have listened to ladoke akintola, saying things against the Igbo, fast forward to this present day we still see derogatory remarks against one tribe or the other , even here on nairaland.
The January 1966 coup was a tribal coup, the counter coup was also tribal, the coup against Abiola was tribal, Gideon orkars coup was tribal, Am still surprised that orkar a tiv man from benue will stage a coup against Babangida
A gwari man from Niger state both being from north central, the removal of the core north from Nigeria by Gideon Orkar is what I still find difficult to comprehend to this day, in his broadcast to the nation on April 22nd 1990 , he mentioned that the core north is having it good more than the rest of the country , but a close look at the country you will notice that the core north is far more impoverished than other part of the country .
Oladipo diyas failed coup against abacha was tribal, in our democratic setting, the gang up against Jonathan by the north and south west was tribal, some part of the country not voting for Peter OBI was tribal , him being the most qualified, and competent enough to steer the ship of state, forget about if he is Igbo he won plateau ,nassarawa, abuja, Lagos and edo state, he scored above 6million a feat which I don’t know if any Igbo man will ever pull considering the common hatred against them, this Chicago saga , has shown how tribal this country is, I like tinubu as a person, he is kind and understands Nigerian politics, when obasanjo flushed most south west governors, he could not unseat tinubu. But let him come out clean concerning his records, he has achieved his long term dream of leading this nation , let him put structures in place , and make his government inclusive, let him be focused, and rule with the fear of GOD and not give most positions to his kinsmen , and foremost let him take restructuring seriously, let him dissipate power from the center to the states, tribalism can be reduced if there is inclusion in all facets of our life, it cannot totally be eradicated , Buhari did so much damage to this nation am glad we have tasted his pudding , and it is a lesson to each and every one of us, especially the young ones who act on impulse

CultureRe: Dallas Has Officially Declared October 7, 2023 As Yoruba Festival Day by leviaka: 3:54pm On Sep 28, 2023
A tribalistic people celebrating Yoruba day in a civilized country, in Lagos or any other Yoruba state, try and speak Igbo in a gathering or in a bus and see how irritated they will be, sometimes ago a Yoruba boss sent his servant to buy him newspapers, the boy went and bought some papers, the Oga went berserk and threw the champion newspaper(owned by an Igbo man) at him .
A church rccg posted an Igbo pastor somewhere in surulere the congregation mostly Yoruba’s became very angry and majority of them left that church, I will say it and say it always, if the Yoruba’s have not been part of Nigeria, our country would have been an interesting place to live , they are horrible people when it comes to tribalism, with the exception of a few of them, they will tell you that they are accommodating (lie from the pit of hell) they are fetish, vindictive , wicked and cowards.
If you can celebrate your culture in another land, let others celebrate theirs in your land , instead one conehead wants to introduce indigenous laws, their new train station they have introduced Yoruba language, you are afraid your language will erode, but you are happy to introduce your language in another land and wants it to be recognized, but you don’t want to recognize other languages in your own land , bunch of hypocrites.

PoliticsWill Nigeria Ever Achieve Greatness? by leviaka(op): 4:20am On Sep 14, 2023
Let us as Nigerians ask ourselves this questions
(1) Was 1914 a mistake?
(2) can we ever achieve unity?
(3) why do we have so many poor people in the midst of rich natural resources.
(4) why is there no functional port apart from that of Lagos.
(5) why is the Sw and core north afraid of Igbo presidency.
(6) why was the election that brought Asiwaju to power controversial.
(7) why do an average Igbo person hates Nigeria as a country .
(cool Why is the core north afraid of Autonomy for each region
(9) why has 13% derivation not developed the Niger Delta region
(10) why has corruption persists.

Let me start by saying 1914 was not a mistake, rather there was a mistake by our founding fathers , to fashion out a constitution that would have stood the test of time, the American constitution was written by gentlemen that were intelligent, if it has been written by men like ours it would have been a constitution of stupidity, viciousness, controversy, contradictions and failures.
Can our country ever achieve unity? All I can say here is the mistrust is so much, that unity will always be a pipe dream, the ruling class will always use divide and rule tactics just as our colonial masters did.
The other day a truck laden with food items was looted in Ibadan, when you move around in Nigeria take note of people’s appearance and compare with the appearance of people In developed countries, take notes of cars , the neatness of there streets, you won’t see someone hawking oranges, or bottle water, or defecating along the way just like in mile 2 Lagos.
Poverty came as a result of corruption, bad governance, over dependence on one natural resource and gullible followers.
Only one port (Lagos) functioning is as a result political decisions not economic decision, if not why the fear of developing functional ports in other places, ports in other places have been made deliberately dormant
People always say igbos will never rule Nigeria, igbos are the common enemy that unites other Nigerians, Reno omokri is a good example of an Igbo hater, what people don’t realize is an average igbo man cares more about his business than politics, he became interested in politics again, when the hardship in the country became unbearable they saw in Peter OBI a competent Leader that can salvage this country’s economy some people saw it as igbos voting for Igbo , they did not see anything wrong when igbos voted for shagari, obasanjo, yaradua, and Jonathan.the sw and core north are afraid because they felt igbos will come for vendetta.
The last election was controversial because it wasn’t free and fair, it was fair to those whose kinsman is now at the saddle, I know Asiwaju to be a kind hearted person, if Peter OBI has not been in the race , I would have voted for Asiwaju not because he is Yoruba but because I see in him someone who can transform this country for good, my only advice for hm is to keep away from sycophants Especially the likes of ffk, asari dokubo , Reno omokri, el rufai, joe igbokwe
Igbos hate Nigeria because of the Underdevelopment and to some extent the fallout of the civil war, they call anywhere they see themselves as home, they believe GOD created Everyman equal, that is why it is not easy to control them, they believe in one Nigeria more than those who don’t visit or invest in other regions, they understand politics more than those who believe they are schooled in politics, that is why they can never vote for someone like Buhari who ruined this nation, our sofistcated regions think politics is only when you win they don’t realize that it is only when you vote in a competent person, competency is what politics is all about, that is why the asian tigers ( Taiwan, s Korea, malaysia etc ) will never vote for someone like buhari
The core north has always been the beneficiary of the British colonial masters in terms of the economy and politics, they are always afraid of Nigeria having autonomous regions because they believe they will be left behind in terms of development. And the possibility of each region going there separate ways.
13% oil derivations will never develop the niger delta because we have a system we’re the fund will never be used for development but for looting, niger delta can only be like Dubai or Singapore if there is an oversight from the people and if a master master plan for development is implemented.
Corruption will always persist if the country is not restructured and if people don’t get punished for wrongdoing, billions of dollars has been stolen, and stashed away abroad because of the weakness of the system,
When highly placed people are jailed like ekwerenmadu in the UK , and trump who was indicted, because of so many issues like Jan capitol riot, taking sensitive documents etc,
Nigeria can only be great if greater autonomy is given to each region and if power is dissipated and not cosolidated.

Am surprised that Nigeria at this modern age cannot boast of one, an African country like Egypt has up to five, South Africa has several , we need to reorganize ourselves as a people, India has sent a rocket that landed on the moon surface , Nigeria can only work if we practice true federalism and put merit above mediocrity, give more autonomy to states to fend for themselves and also reduce the cost of governance. We need a new constitution to be adopted by referendum , some regions will not like it because they feel they will be short changed , the present state of Nigeria will not help anyone . PoliticsRe: Kano, Lagos, Kaduna Recorded Highest Registrations, Issuance Of NIN by leviaka: 3:19am On Aug 10, 2023
Very funny statistics, all over the world Forrest regions are more populated than desert regions , that is why you have few populations in Libya, Mali, Mauritania, niger, etc but in Nigeria reverse is the case because of oil money, till we start telling ourselves the truth nothing will work in this country, the northern part of Nigeria has a large number of foreigners , Lagos has a large number of non indigenes, let all statistics be on state by state basis, in Lagos publish each NIN registrations on state by state basis , don’t count Igbo registered NIN to Yoruba’s in Lagos, all this propaganda from NBS dominated by a particular tribe has no scientific value, Nigeria is a country of contradictions we inflate population to benefit our tribes till we start practicing true federalism which the Yoruba’s and northerners are afraid off nothing will work in this country these two parasitic regions has done a whole lot of damage to this country socially, economically, and politically.

As I said the truth is bitter, nobody has proved that igbos ruined the economy and nobody has proved that there is no Igbo hatred, it’s like saying there is no racism in America, the hatred against the igbos is real and out there, mingle with the Yoruba’s and northerners you will understand what am saying, some has gone as far as being impostors condemning me here on NL.
Some said I never condemned igbo leaders and ipob why should I when the topic is not about them but about the common hatred for our people and the destruction of this great country by Yoruba and northern leaders, the conscience is an open wound and only the truth can heal it
