To be honest I didn’t do anything special. I just called them up and seems the agent was in a good mood. I just asked for any special deals discounts etc and she just did some magic. I was even being chased for the deal🤣🤣

I think EE offered the best internet price/service........

You get home internet for £30 pcm + 3 month's free + your mobile phone contract becomes £10 pcm (and you also get unlimited internet on your mobile phone and all EE mobile phones in your household for just £10 pcm) + superfast internet speeds........😜😁

Out with a couple of friends, one of the guys works as a health care assistant. Moved into the uk in 2022 as a dependant. Currently earns £1605 or thereabout as take home pay after tax. Due to child care, he couldn't work more hours, said this is the reason he's earning such doing his 40hrs a week and claimed he is comfortable as his wife earns almost same too being the main applicant sponsored.

The wahala there is that, another bobo that works in construction blatantly told him, that is not a decent pay despite him covering 40hrs shift a week. Na so kasala burst o! Clash of egos, ironically, both of them just entered same time. Construction oga said he earns above £2k after tax. Told them even £1500 after tax is a decent pay, but the arguements is now causing a scene. I don book uber leave them. Our new entrants should take it easy

What's your take on this £1600 a decent pay after tax or not ?

Would I prefer working in a warm environment or freezing cold zones....... 😂😭😜

There are these perfumes they sell in Poundland for £1. You can buy up to 40 if you wish. You have to hunt for it cos the run out of stock easily.

You can get packs of face towels in Primark too.

For Mumcy, uou can select some good gowns from SHEIN.

Instead of chocolates and candy, if there are children, you can throw in some Multivitamins from Aldi.

If there is a Dad back home expecting gifts, you can go to Lidl and get some variety of nuts.

These are just random ideas... Look out for things on sale in shops like Primark - Kids clothings and shoes, Tshirts, handbags, headscarfs, toothpaste, etc.

Remember to stay within budget, people back home don't care. As long as it's abroad item, they'll be glad they were remembered.

It seems this thread is full of moneybags or people who’ve been in the UK for decades and are so comfortable they’ve forgotten what it is to be a “bargain hunter”. Let me state that I’m not asking the OP to lie. For example, I have the option of parking in a locked garage or on a drive, and I use both depending on the date… so which one should I put on my application? Same thing with where is the car parked overnight…if you share your time between 2 locations, go with the safe neighborhood. Also, you can add a second driver who’s more experienced with many years with a full UK licence and that would reduce your premium, which is perfectly legal. So many things that could be done without lying. So many more examples. To each his own sha. Peace
