PoliticsRe: Don’t Allow Obaseki Take Custody Of 1,130 Stolen Artefacts - Oba Of Benin To FG by lexyking(m): 1:58pm On Jul 11, 2021
The highest any govt can do to the king in edo is suspend him or better still kill the king for the son to take over, hope it makes you happy?[/quote]First off, i don't give a hoot about Benin culture so why should i hate or love them? Its funny how you mistook my objectivity to mean hatred.

But let me repeat it for the umpteenth time, Nigeria as a whole or any part of her entity has never needed any royalty to get anything done. I made mention of our republican constitution when making my earlier point but you conveniently ignored that part just so that you could call me out for hating on Benin kingdom, so maybe you should take time out and acquaint yourself with the principles of a republican society so that you don't let your prejudice hinder your sensitivity

Isusugbaghada:
So who will you use to replace him after deposition ?
.

The first son of course! And if for whatever reason he objects to been sworn in, then the Governor can go ahead and strip the throne all the awe and respect that the royal family think they have. Look it might be difficult but like i said earlier it is not impossible for any Governor that is hell bent on removing an Oba.

I couldnt help but laugh at those who believes the Oba can't be dethroned, i mean have you all forgotten that Nigeria is a republic and not a monarchy? The only source of authority in any part of Nigeria is the construction, and there's no where in it where either an Oba,Igwe or Emeir is recognised as a source or a weirder of power.
Agreed, it might be difficult but not impossible to dethrone any monarch.

Now that they have openly declared their support for Obaseki, I hope they are ready to damn the consequences should things go south with their candidate.
Because there's no coming back from this, that's why in politics, its always good to keep your options open. But then again we all have different strategies, I just hope if this decision of theirs backfires no one will come here and tell us things like, "we are being marginalised in Edo"

I am a yoruba muslim.
My first wife is Fulani
Second wife is Hausa. I know hundreds of southern muslims married to northern Muslims and even Christians
I second your notion bro. I'm a Yoruba Christian and I have dated and still dating hardcore northern Muslim girls.

As a matter of fact my current main babe is a fulani Muslim from Katsina state. And her mother and siblings are aware of our relationship.

her family have accepted me to the point that if I ever choose to want to marry her, they will gladly give me their blessings

RTSC:
If igbo men list the things they have seen from tribalistic Yoruba parents, you would be shocked.

I read the thread and saw one igbo man complaining that the mother of his Yoruba fiancee called her in his presence and asked her if she know what she is doing by dating an igbo.

The illiterate mother didn't know the guy hears Yoruba.
So true, I've seen this happen a lot. A typical Yoruba lady's choice of partner has been greatly limited to just her tribe and Edo state, at the mere mention of you just dating an Igbo guy, everyone you know will start giving unsolicited advice.

The truth is that we're all guilty of this tribal prejudice when it comes to marriage one way or another, we tend to forget that marriage is not a business venture, it's more of a life journey towards emotional and spiritual fulfillment. And in this kind of journey it doesn't matter what tribe or country you spouse comes from, what matters most is your compatibility tendencies.

Health12 Facts About Farting You Probably Didn't Know by lexyking(op): 12:13pm On Jun 04, 2020
Farting, when done in public is usually considered embarrassing and shameful. So many people have received all manner of curse as a result of farting in a public space.

Everyone farts, but have we ever taken a moment to think about the science behind this biological function of our body? Well below are some little know facts about farting.

1, First used in 1962, fart means the wind coming out of the anus.

2,Females tend to fart less than males

3, A normal human being will fart over a dozen times everyday

4, And the air they produce can be used to blow up one balloon.

5, Don't ever be embarrassed about a fart, because it is actually an indication of good health. If your digestive system is working as it should, you will fart. If you fell like you haven't been farting lately, it's best you get a medical opinion.

6, The main component of a fart is hydrogen sulfide which helps decrease any damage to the mitochondria. Which means that taking in the smell is actually good for you.

7, while women don't fart as much as men, their fart tend to smell more because they have greater levels of hydrogen sulfide. This makes the air they produce better for your health as well.

8, Your farts are much faster than you because they travel 10ft/sec.

9, the tighter your sphincter, the more sound your farts will make because they can't get out easily.

10, If you chew a lot of gums and drink aerated drinks, it will increase the frequency of your farts

11, Most of our daily farts happens when we are asleep.

12, termites may be small in size, but they fart more than any other creature. Camels come a close second followed by zebras and cattles.

I'm shocked you guys went through an educational institution with the level of grammar I'm seeing.
I would easily comprehend Russian than to understand what you guys are saying.
Oga education is not determined by the standard of your grammar, like the OP said he studied an engineering course, so you can cut him some slack.

Nice. But distant from reality.

Short response: It is impossible to ignore the society you live in.

Long response (read if you have time or do not agree with my short response cheesy):
We always think we know what ladies need to do. Your take is just like a white guy telling blacks to damn racism, roll with just blacks and keep living their lives. Where? How possible? Fact is, we are all humans and you cannot just not care how others in your society perceive or treat you because, at the end, you're joined at the hips with the society. It's someone from the society that will marry you. It's someone from the society that will employ you or patronize your business. It's someone from the society that will be your friend. It is someone from the society that constitutes your family member. Even the people you think are like minds are products of the society. Unless you are very rich, you cannot live in isolation. A girl got into the dm of a guy the other day to woo him, he showed his friends the chat and they laughed and advised him to "use that olosho". Another guy created similar thread here on NL and even exposed the name of the girl and people were calling her "destiny killer". I'm sure even her family members would organise a town hall meeting for her. These girls have been labelled and the effects of such labeling ripple down. Nobody would bat an eyelid if it were a guy. They'll even insult the girls for exposing the chats. There's such a thing as the male privilege. As a guy, you're almost guilt-less regardless of the situation. It's like the only thing that's considered sexually immoral for guys is rape. Any other thing makes him 'my guy!'. Some guy here even created a thread on how he rubbed his genital on a girl in a bank and his 'guys' where hailing him and even went on to call the victim a pretender. The male liberty is almost unhealthy for the society.

You say she should ignore the society and role with people of her type and I wonder who these people are. People that, lowkey, see her as a bad girl that's only suitable for fun? People that hope to find a 'wife material' when they are ready? People that wish thier daughters won't be like her? Cause we both know what the idea of a good girl is there in Africa. Even if these people are any different, like I said above, she will still have to deal with the rest of the society at some point. The person whose monica you mentioned in your post is hidden behind the screen on a faceless forum, that is nothing to judge by.

Bro, if you aren't a lady, you may not fully understand their situation in a society like ours. I'm not trying to put everyone in a box but being born with male genital in Africa already makes you guilt free and you can't even begin to imagine what it costs the other gender to level up.

Good morning.
You're absolutely right, I hope that someday soon, our society evolves to the level where females can live their lives the way they want. nice write up by the way.
