MelesZenawi:
Something is your favorite and you still don't trust the news it churns out , because they are all lies. The more reason you need to consult others do that you can deductively know the truth.

By that singular statement, I am proved right once again that nation newspaper was born out of wicked intentions to undermine others.

You are afraid of what you produce the reason you ran to others to correlate their facts more like the Nigeria and Nigerians ( In quote) afraid of the Doctors they produce and ran to other civilisation for treatment.

Correct me if am right.
you couldn't be more right in been wrong. But in order to prevent you from twisting my submissions, let me put it this way if I want to make sense of any national discus I read the Sun newspaper to get the southeast view on such topic, daily trust to get the northern view and the Nation to get the western view, punch often times bridge all views as one, only after going through all of them would I now objectively put the pieces together to arrive at my own conclusion to help me make a stand. now the reason I go through with this ritual is not because I do not trust the Nation but because my line of job has made me realise that no Nigeria newspaper is completely objective but some are more objective than others and my argument with you isn't about the nations been better than the rest, it's about you trying to accuse it of an offence that all the other ones you picked are guilty of. And let me say it again just so that I can provoke a reaction from you I LOVE THE NATION NEWSPAPER. THE NATION NEWSPAPER IS MY FAVOURITE
PoliticsRe: Avoid These Newspapers, They Peddle Fake News Alot. by lexyking(m): 9:00am On Apr 12, 2020
MelesZenawi:
No need for @bolded if you are really comfortable with submission because innocent mind fear no accusations but know fully well how biased you are , You have to quickly attach that line to make yourself look fair and just in face of glaring bias.

Moreover I only corrected the impression you trying to create by shooting yourself at your leg same time. You claim nation newspaper is your favorite and in twist of an eye you now want to make it look that you draw your conclusion from reading different newspaper. Nothing is as confusing as that statement. You can have something as favorite and neglecting same to draw conclusion from others.

Sometimes I wonder if you guys will ever make a submit devoid of leaning and attachment. All your submission is skewed towards one outlet and you want to prove it by all means.

This is serious.
ok then please be kind enough to point out where I expressly said I usually draw my conclusions based on what I read in the nation newspaper. what I said and still stand by is that the nation newspaper is my favourite but I guess you were too busy trying to portray me as been bias that you left out the part where I said I read four newspapers and pick facts from each of them to help me make sense of all the stories of the day.

First of all, learn to avoid careless allegation infact unfounded allegation. So because my view automatically differs with your I am now a pdp apologist and from east...... anyway that's by the way as I don't need to be reminded of who you might be by such careless statement.

If nation's newspaper is your best newspaper then you are not different from the propaganda machine. Newspaper that finds nothing good in others but only west. You will never see them document any village in west but will be busy meandering the innermost villages in SE/SS just to portray others in bad light. That is the newspaper that is your champion. Well I am not suprise, you must always practice one of your own the more reason your are blinded to undertake sound objectivity.

Finally there is no way you can absolve yourself @last paragraph when you have already shown where your loyalty lies.....

More like been hypocritical.
whao! you didn't even waste anytime in going below the belt. anyways I resist the temptation to go that way with you. because what I said was that 'I STAND TO BE CORRECTED' but instead of correcting me with sound argument you went about calling me a hypocrite.
But I think the real unapologetic hypocrite here is you or how do you explain coming to a forum and telling people what news outlets to follow and the ones to avoid, you even took your comic to another level by insinuating that the nation newspaper is a propaganda tool while conveniently absorbing your dear Sun newspaper of doing same, well sorry to be the one to break it to you that no Nigeria newspaper is devoid of political influence and this I can tell you authoritatively because of my professional background. I still maintain my point that the only difference between all of them is there ability to creatively conceal there bias.
Yes the nation newspapers concentrate more on news from the southwest and Edo, but I guess I already picked that out from my earlier submission, so if you're not the hypocrite that you're making me out to be you would know the sun newspaper also focused more on news from the southeast. And please before you go about calling me names again I want you to know that it's not a crime or is it a professional misconduct for any media house to be sympathetic to anyone, country, religion or administration. But it becomes a crime when they alter or misrepresent facts

MelesZenawi:
Avoid these newspaper, they peddle fake news alot.

Newspaper always peddling fake news include

Punch newspaper
Nation's newspaper
Tribune newspaper
Dailytrust
Sahara reporters ( Though gives sound info sometimes)
TVC

Legit and sound newspapers

Vanguard newspaper
Sun newspaper
AIT
Leadership newspaper
Herald newspaper

Confused Station
Channels TV
Op. all I can work out from your submission is that you're a PDP sympathiser from the southeast, I stand to be corrected though. But I'm not going to base my response on where your sympathy lies since that is entirely your right, however I must say it for the record that most nigerian newspapers are a propaganda tools the only difference between them is there ability to creatively conceal it. for instance there is no denying it that the sun newspaper news, editorials, and articles are always skewed in favour of the southeast.
daily trust also is to north what the sun is to the east. And now to my favourite of them all, you guessed right it's the nation newspaper, yes can accuse them of dwelling too much on news from the southwest and Edo, but what you can't accuse them of is not balancing there views. as for the television stations you clearly gave yourself out by listing AIT ahead of channels and TVC in terms of news reportage but like I said before your political leanings aren't the subject of discussion.
And please before you start telling me how sentimental I am in my choices, I want you to know that I actually always read all three newspapers including punch on a daily basis because unlike most people I already know that the best way to get all the facts is to go through all there news and put the pieces together myself that way I'm sure I'm not been swayed to on side without me making the decisions
PoliticsRe: Covid-19 Donations Should Not Be One Sided, Why Are Imams Not Donating Like Past by lexyking(m): 8:16pm On Apr 04, 2020
abduljabbar4:
And somehow, living in your southern village, you already know that imams are not asking their followers to make donations. Is it because they don't come out on YouTube to say it like your attention seeking pastors? The last sermon I attended concentrated strictly on encouraging those who have excess food to donate it to their poor neighbors and a lot of people, including myself, have done that. You don't have to donate face masks or buy hospital beds before it can be classified as a donation. Giving food to the needy during a lockdown is very important. Moreover, the rich Muslims among us who are at par with the private jet-owning pastors have made their donations. (Atiku, Dangote, etc)
from your choice of words it's clear you're not objective in your analysis. however I will resist the temptation of going into the mud with you. after all it's not your fault that our pastors, rather than give to there poor members choose to give to the federal government.By the way, even though I'm from the south I grew up in Abuja and I can say I've been to most northern states.
PoliticsRe: Covid-19 Donations Should Not Be One Sided, Why Are Imams Not Donating Like Past by lexyking(m): 11:31am On Apr 04, 2020
abduljabbar4:
You should understand that the church and the mosque work in different ways. A Muslim can enter any mosque in the world without any fees.

Secondly, our Imams do not force Muslims to give out 10% of their hard earned money just to fund their lavish lifestyle. Our imams do not accuse us of robbing Allah for not giving them money. This is why no Imam owns a private jet in Nigeria. Their only sources of income are their labor's, businesses (if they can afford to own one), and voluntary donations by Muslims. I have even heard that some churches are now collecting money online AT THIS CRITICAL TIME.

Thirdly, unlike what churches do with tithes, Allah firmly instructs RICH Muslims to only give out money to the poor, the needy, the new converts, the debtors, the travellers and so on. This way, one doesn't end up sleeping with hunger just to satisfy the needs of pastors.
How convenient it is for you to enlighten us on why your imams can't help with donations. But then you forgot to explore the various avenues through which they can help, I mean it's not a secret that these imams wield more influence over there followers than the pastors do, so why don't you tell us why no Imam has come out to solicit the help of the rich Moslems towards making donations as individuals or as a group towards the fight against covid19. I bet if it was a case of whether to allow the wearing of hijab or not they wouldn't mind raising huge amount for the legal fees to fight it in court nor would they have issues in raising money for the sharia law propaganda. So instead of defending by explaining how broke they are, you should be telling them to use there immense influence on there followers to do there bits

i didn’t comment to trade words with anyone I just passed an information it’s left for the smart ones to take it or leave it .ive been following nairaland since 2007 I enjoy reading people’s comments but I decided to open an account to comment on a post that got my attention last month...yes I am from enugu state I went to unsec enugu and yes igbos are the most tribalistic tribe I’ve ever seen I am not apologetic about it and the earlier we accept it the better and between we are not the only successful people, the problem is most people don’t even understand the true meaning of tribalism cos if they do there wouldn’t be any argument
If only the majority of the Igbos would take your advice, it would not only be good for the Igbo race but for the whole country. however as the saying goes truth is a bitter pill to swallow
PoliticsRe: Religion Moves The North, Politics Moves The West, Ethnicity Moves The East by lexyking(m): 9:54am On Mar 31, 2020
I 100% agree with the writer on what moves the north. I however disagree on what moves the West and the East. while to an extent politics moves the West, the operation wetie example he gave to buttress his point is misleading and out of context. Because to say that WETIE was a political violence is not entirely correct, it was more about ideology than politics. and as for the East. the writer used the biafran war to make his point, while he might be right to have used it as a proof to show how the Igbos respond to ethnicity, his narration on what drove the Igbos to embark on biafran war is totally flawed. while the writer would have us believe that it was for fairness and equity, it is not. the war was born out of the need to dominate the entity called nigeria, which as at that time had been taken over by the north with the help of the East. So the war was not for any fairness or equity but for tribal supremacy. It's only the niger-delta examples he gave that are valid because there ethnicity is stirred towards self protection and wellbeing and not towards the need to dominate others which is the Igbos way of ethnicity

Truth be told. Igbo girls like any other girls don't care what tribe you come from, they just want a good, charming and romantic guy who will love and cherish them. The problem however is that some Igbo guys have inferiority problems which have seen them try to tarnish Yoruba guys image. I'm proudly Yoruba and I've dated enough igbo girls to understand that they are not tribalistic in nature. It's just that there patriarch society have put them under intense pressure to prioritize marrying an Igbo at all cost not minding if they are the best option available or not

Let's not make big deal out of this. Agreed, the lawmakers should have practiced what they preached by patronizing made in Nigeria vehicles. However there is no law stopping them from acquiring whatever foreign brands they so wish to have, even in advanced countries government officials go for vehicles based on function and taste and not so much about if it was local or not in the Uk for instance most mp's rides in Mercedes Benz which is a German car. So please folks just let them be.

With that much said from you I know for sure that you are a smelling Yoruba poo
We leave our homeland to succeed in your homelands because of how dumb and lazy you people are we work hard and get your money and use your cheap Hot girls for our pleasure
As for the Hausas they don’t bother us we don’t bother them that’s our relationship from time and we are good with that
Your foolishness knows no bounds otherwise you wouldn't have written this crap. Anyways let me educate you a little. It's a known fact that all over the world immigrants hustle and sometimes make it more than the indigenous people this has nothing to do with being smarter or been better it's just down to the fact that the drive that made you leave your place for a better place in search of opportunities is usually stronger than that of the locals because they were born into such environment, they tend to take things for granted take for instance how the Indians and Chinese have taken over the U.K.'s economy or how other nationals have hijacked the opportunities that USA have to offer to the detriment of the real white American-American or let's bring it closer to home look at South Africa for example see how Nigerians Zimbabweans and other nationals have completely taken over the opportunities available. now would you say that the citizens are not smart enough? Obviously not, it's just that they have a sense of entitlement and so expect things to be easy for them hence there refusal to take up some jobs or do some businesses because they consider it to be belittling for example an Igbo man in Lagos could open a shop and be selling garri and palm oil but give a typical Yoruba man the capital to start that kind of business and he will tell you that he can't because he considers it to be a woman's business. So my guy no one is lazy any where in the world it's just that some believe that because they are in there fathers land everything should be handed over to them on a platter of Gold.
And I would like to advise you to be mindful of your choice of words when referring to an entire tribe, it takes nothing to be objective you know
