On what conviction am I supposed to speak before? I've made my point and given you reasons why I believe what I said was right, so you either agree, or you give a different opinion. Upton: |
Relax! I never said giving block vote is bad, I merely reacted to your assertion that Yorubas are tribal bigots. I'm glad you didn't dispute the fact that only the Yorubas practice actual democracy where each individual is allowed to make their political choice without fear or threat. I challenge you to name one instance where the Igbos have voted on the basis of personal conviction like the Yorubas have always voted, in 2015 even with Osibanjo on the ticket of the APC, the PDP still got considerable votes from the south west, same goes for the 2019 elections. Even the just concluded elections, obi won Tinubu in Lagos Atiku won Tinubu in Osun state, but we all saw the margins with which Obi won in the south east. So my question to you is how could you term the Yorubas bigots when they are indeed the only region that has been politically libral. Upton: |
You were making sense until you got to this part. Please tell us when and how the Igbos and Yorubas have ever aligned politically. [quote author=Ikea81 post=121981651]It's like the ibos finally realising they need to leave yoruba and align with the North. Expect that in 2027. Imagine a PO and kwankwaso pally. The ibos learnt. |
If Yorubas are tribal bigot, what are the igbos? You're such a hypocrite, if not how can you call the Yorubas bigot when indeed their votes pattern reflects that they voted on the basis of individual choices rather than as a ethnic group like the igbos voted. Check the percentage of the votes Obi got from the south east and from the Igbos who reside out of the south east and see if indeed they voted based on merit or rather based on tribal sentiments, what happened in lagos was disgraceful no doubt, but a times such drastic methods needs to be taken to make a point, if not how can the Igbos expect the majority of Yorubas to vote out a performing governor like Sanwo olu for one I T architect who has never managed or hold any senior position in his life. This was inspite of majority of the lagosian Yorubas voting for obi at the presidential level o. Until Christ returns, I would never understand why the Igbos would prefer An inexperienced GRV to a more experienced Sanwo olu who clearly performed and exceeded all expectations. Upton: |
The way you people will just be saying people are tired of suffering, as if when Obi was governor of Anambara State, everyone in Anambara became a millionaire overnight, as if there was no poverty in his state back then. Its only a non thinking person that will just listen to promises of politicians without first cross checking their antecedents. SmartGadgetz: |
Get your history right, Sango was never at any time an Oni of Ife, he was an Alafin of Oyo. OluremiSpot: |
And you that the church is your friend what have you achieved? MrColdsweat: |
This is what emotion can do to a mam, no matter how brilliant you are, if you let your actions and thinking be ruled by emotions, you're bound to look stupid. How can a senior advocate of Nigeria be so silly to the point of forgetting simple kindergarten lessons? Since from primary school, we've been taught that we have 36 state and the FCT, never have I heard 37 state, this is because the FCT have never been taken as a state but rather a municipal. But because of elections now some people are trying to twist what should be a straightforward English statement into a legal battle. Besides there's also a big grammatical difference between 24 state, and the FCT and 24 state and the FCT that coma there serves a purpose just like the taught us in primary school that we have 36 state and the FCT, this was what the writers of the constitution had in mind, but the obedients mob wants to take off the coma and make it a whole sentence. As for the lawyers going with this argument, I can't blame them much because they must be seen to be doing something plus they have to build their case around a point. If not how would they convince OBI to release funds for court case? |
Vinnie2000:Do you read to understand at all? Ok let me simplify it for you, both the Ijaws and Tivs ARE not considered to be one of the three major tribes, so yes they might tolerate the excessive nature of the Igbos but Yorubas are one of the three major tribes in nigeria same as the Igbos, so there's bound to be a fight back if they feel the Igbos are encroaching. And please don't shift your argument post Again, because your initial statement which I responded to was that south south people don't have problems with the Igbos despite their boastful nature so I don't know what brought in the Tivs of the North Central |
From your posts that I have seen so far, it's clear you're an Igbo person masquerading as a non Igbo from the south south. If not how can you be comparing how Igbos are perceived in south south to how they are treated in south west? The Yorubas are the owners of south west, while the south south has no single ethnic group that can lay claim to being the absolute majority, so the Igbos can flex muscles there without being challenged, but you don't expect the Yorubas who are not only the owners of south west but are also one of the three major tribes to look the other way when and if they feel that others are encroaching on their land and culture. Ignorance is really a bliss!! If not how can someone expect me not to say a very big and loud amen to this fantastic prayer? I mean why should I not want my kids to achieve what Tinubu has achieved? A professional auditor who got to the summit of his profession, an astute politician who has served as a senator and two term governor of the largest black city on earth (population wise) A master strategist who against all odds emerged as the presidential flag bearer of the ruling party of the largest black democratic country on the planet! A man who's biological children are already doing great in his lifetime, a man who have made many house of representatives members, senators, governors, and countless ministers. I could go on and on mentioning what the Jagaban has achieved in his lifetime, but I guess even his haters knows how great he is. Asiwaju doesn't have to be president to cement his greatness, he has already achieved greatness. SO YES I PRAY THAT MY CHILDREN SHOULD BE AS GREAT AS TINUBU. |
I don't know about your dating game, but from my personal experience, I get laid more while in US or UK than when in Nigeria where the sex is always transactional. From my experience about white girls, they don't really care about your financial capabilities or where you come from, you just have to dress well, be bold and witty and you will nack tire. But the problem with Nigerian guys is that most of them are not bold enough to hold a conversation with a white girl some can't even properly break the ice with a girl in a pub so how do you expect such guys to get laid. |

You called my analysis Oluwole analysid, but ended up making an analysis that can best be described as Okija analysis. if not, how do you just cherry pick your figures? Me think that you would have made more sense if you had quoted the total number of registered voters per region and not just pick the number of the newly registered, please the figures and get back to me then we'll take it from there. BossGerald: |
You do realize that when put into percentage those humongous poverty number from the north will be less than that of the south-east right? Simply put, with the massive number of people living in the north, those poverty numbers still makes for a better reading than the southeast whose population is scanty but still managed to have that number of poor people. Racoon:OK thanks for criticising the messenger, can you now behave like a learned person and debunk with facts and logical explanation how his message is wrong? Let me make it simple for you, just pick one out of the ten points he raised and debunk it. Because all what you've done is to question Keyamo's intelligence without even countering with facts what he had said. So tell me,how are you better than him. |

Kurutinto:You still don't get my point, Wike should have directed his security concerns to the DSS who would have done a proper analysis of the threat and then give advise to Shettima Accordingly. It's totally understandable for Shettima to have ignored such an advise from a Junior minister from the ministry of education for that matter, although with the benefits of hindsight we could now say he should have listened. |
Kurutinto:You're very funny I swear, so Wike who was then a minister of state for Education, his ministry had nothing to do with security or intelligence gathering, but he wrote a letter to a state governor not to allow students go for exams, and you expect the said governor to just take his word for it? Don't you think Shetima would have consulted the DSS? is it not possible that the police and the other security agencies gave him the assurance that even if such threats was real, that they were up to the task of not only preventing, but can withstand and decimate the attackers if such an attack was to happen. |
