You need to also understand that if ncc doesn't step in, the main service providers will form a cartel to push other operators from the market. Had it being ncc didn't give directives to MTN to halt it call tariff to all networks, it could have monopolies the whole thing such that most persons would opt in for MTN at the expense of service delivery. But with such policy, it made other networks to not only meet up with expectations but they were able to roll out offers to attract customers . as for saying free market economy, such thing only exist on textbooks but in reality it's not feasible . Just imagine such economic system was fully allowed in the pay TV, Dstv price would have skyrocketed even though we're expecting high soonest. In a free market there are no regulations which you and I know isn't possible
