Bertram87: Good morning,
Payment of school fees is not a prerequisite to getting an approval. Show your school fees and LE in your bank account.
Please which school gave you the admission towards Fall 2020? Yes that's what I will do. MUN for MBA fall 2020. |

josiahese: Study Permit are not issued based on payment of school fees. The least you should do, is paying school fees and hoping you are issued. If you want to be granted , you will with your documents not paying of tuition fees. Then it's best I don't pay. Safer |

Hello house, What do you guys think about just showing full one year tuition and 10,000 dols equivalent in your account?
Cos I'm worried about doing wahala to get tuition refund incase of refusal...let's be realistic
Plus my school gave me admission letter against fall 2020 without requiring any deposit or whatsoever until September.
I have also written their cashier office to know their refund policy.
I just think we should take precaution and not lose out on both sides. |

UrsyBC: UBC admission: 28th August Online Application: 18th Sept Biometrics Request: 20th Sept Biometrics Done: 26th Sept. Medical Request:16th Oct. Medicals Done : 24th Oct.(IOM Lag) Medicals Passed: 30th Oct.
First time applicant.
My passport was to expire 3 months into the winter term and of course, my Visa's validity if granted wouldn't be longer than March, so I had to wait for it to drop to 6 months, then I applied for passport renewal. I also got my police clearance certificate in September.
Took me not less than a week to write a one and a half pages of SOP. I kept editing and restructuring, adding and subtracting. My strategy was to weigh the pros n cons of each point I try to make. Any information that I weigh n perceive could be misinterpreted, I thrower more light. For instance, my kids are part of my ties. The least is 2 years old. I felt the VO would wonder why a sane mother would want to leave her young child. At the same time, i felt the VO would also wonder how i would travel with a toddler given the intensity of my professional masters degree. I had to choose one side of the argument and gave solid reasons which sent a pointer to my determination to study and graduate with good grades while outlining adequate steps I've put in place for the welfare of the kids I'm leaving behind.
I also mentioned what I intend to do upon return and showed evidence of some tangible things I'd leave behind as a major fallback when I return. Each day I read my SOP, it made deeper meaning. I understood it differently and kept manipulating it until I was convinced that I had done noble. Worthy to mention is that I showed a career progression from my previous study and current work experience, to the intended program. Meanwhile, I attached an LOE to explain my previous US tourist Visa rejection, reason for not writing IELTS + correspondence from school confirming that IELTS would be waived if my UNN sends them a proof that I was taught in English, other source of income, family composition .
Meanwhile, I have a travel history(US and) Self-sponsorship Employed with a meagre salary Printed n submitted the tuition n cost of living page as seen on the school's website. Statement of account(4 months) fixed deposit Reference letter from bank Transcripts Proof of English Proficiency from undergrad school Letter from employer(recent) TCC Pay stubs (3months) Survey plans of properties in my name Birth certificates of kids Hubby n dad's biodata page. Picture of just the kids together with a minor ward. Confirmation letter from UBC on deposit payment Conditional letter of acceptance Tuition Fee is to be paid in 3 instalments
I think less is actually more. SOP was straight to the point so as not to bore the VO or divulge unnecessary information that could be used against me. For each information I gave, I asked myself if it was necessary and directly related to my application. Then I moved to weighing the implication of every possible answer. I actually set up a law court in my head.
For me, preparing and sending in my application was like preparing for a life changing exam. I almost gave up cos it was too much for just an application, but for the deposit I already made...I needed at least a rejection to get it back. lol
PS: I have an active EE profile and didn't delete for the purpose of this application. Afterall, my timeline in the morning is same even at night and what would be would be. It's not a do or die affair. Holding on to see what the end would be...
Meanwhile much respect to frankrobbin, justmellow and all those who take time to respond to questions on this platform. E no easy, I swear. See as hand dey pain me n I dey jump certain details wey I wan share. They'll definitely come sha...in due course whether or whethern't Visa is approved. Lol.
Much luv, fam What was your closing account ? And value of the fixed deposit? |

scarplanet: 1. I cannot really give a definite answer to your question. What you should bear in mind is that you are competing with other candidates from your state. So you see why i can't give an answer because you don't know what other persons from your state are presenting. However, i know of a person who got it without a publication. This is my honest advise to you: Prepare a draft of your bachelor's degree thesis and send to an international journal. If you are lucky it gets published on time, then use the published document. If it isn't published but you are sent an acceptance letter from the journal, print out the acceptance letter. As for award/honors, it doesn't have to be a national award. Any academic, research or scientific award can serve... even if it is best graduating student or recognition from a conference.
2. As for age restrictions, i can't really tell. Though some institutions would say an MSc candidate should not be more than 30years. As for PTDF i can't say for sure. I can find out later.
3. If you are asked for an admission letter then it only means one thing. I am sure you already have the answer yourself. For PhD candidates, if you eventually pass the interview (that is if you are called) then it is advisable you start looking for a supervisor immediately.
Cheers Nope I don't. |

scarplanet: I cant really say whether any is easy or difficult to get. I believe getting the scholarship is proportional to the amount of effort you put into it, not also forgetting that God's favour is required too.
But in choosing between them, a number of factors are to be considered: Language, cost of living (housing and feeding), Ability to network and exposure to forums, Job opportunities for students, serenity, adequate mentoring and tutorship, ability to get professional assistance, residency permit... The list goes on
I obviously wont choose for you, the choice is yours.
Cheers. Pls im an MSc applicant with no publication or national honor, what are my chances? Also are there any age restrictions for MSc? lastly which Admission letter am I supposed to upload since i am not to contact the school myself, or is it Jamb admission letter they mean? |

'HAPPINESS' doesn't have to be another man, dick or marriage. Think outside the box marvin906: so if you where it that position your solution will be hoping from one marriage to the other until you see your perfect man |

Yes that's my advice to women. Men today feel no remorse when it comes to Adultery and jumping from pussy to pussy , so let no man give what he cannot take. marvin906: do you even understand what you just wrote so if a woman is having marital issues she should leave and find another man if that one fails she should still do the same abi no wahala theres no prb jumping from dick to dick and also your advice for women is to plan ahead of marraige failure WTF |

No man is worth fighting for. what if happiness poured acid on the wife, or use bottle on her head? Abeg I can't die for one man that might not even last up to 5mins .....
Women make your load light in marriage, have the number of kids you know you can cater for in case of any fracas, be independent and save. Most husband today don't know what marital vow means. Once he shows you he doesn't have your interest at heart, carry your load and search for your own 'happiness'. |

Thank you so much. Tydarl: Yes, the written test. Thanks. Keep your fingers crossed. I'm sure they would call you by your stipulated time. You have gotten to medicals stage so whenever they need an employee, you will be first person they will contact. Besides, it's the best that you didn't expose yourself to the scan. Better safe than sorry. Wish you all the best. |
