I will be traveling with my kids, they have F2 and I have F1.

Please what documents will I need to hold for this trip aside their passports and i20, I also have an affidavit signed by my husband.
Do I need any kind of letter from their schools?
Ages 7 and 4.

Also they have had their visas for over 5months months, does it matter that I'm getting them now?

My husband will join me for the interview but will be getting a b1/b2 since he will be visiting because of work.

B1/b2 is just great. You will get that visa.
If you are going for PhD that's even more super.
If its funded abeg start checking flight ticket.

I had my Interview in Abuja on Monday, F1 and two F2
I got SMS yesterday that passport is ready for pickup but the passport number quoted was just one not three. The one is one of the F2.

Now should I wait to get other sms or is it possible all three are there.

Does that mean that one can explain why he or she thinks he was denied. It looks like they read it and compare to remarks from visa officers? That means one can explain any misunderstanding there right?

Either you write 214b reasons or write what you believed caused it and how you have corrected it.
Use it as opportunity to explain yourself.
Try not to sound like you think the previous VO was wrong.
Be smart in your usage of words.

Recently, my current employer was quoted on NSE and my name was submitted to the capital market through the equity firm. So, if he had googled my name, he would have found very interesting stuffs about my profile.

But, I guess yesterday was not just my day. I am going to reapply.

When next you are filling ur ds... use the space of reasons for denial to explain that travel stuff.

Eg I believe I was denied based on a mix up with my travel history.
Give detailed explanation of what u filled due to the 5years history and the VO direct question which didn't specify 5years hence the discrepancy in your response.

Honesty will get you the visa.

Also I am married with kids and have all my sisters brothers cousins nephews and nieces here in Nigeria. Also I am a member of ICAN which is my professional family)

Me: My colleague first mentioned Virginia tech to me and upon further research I found out about the MADA certificate that I will receive in addition to my Master of Accounting and Information Systems Certificate without extending my program duration. Hurdles I faced included taking passport for 4k cos me and one of my boys had the wrong passport photographs. No ears ...lol

Also I didn't go with my old passport. Explained its cos I wasn't asked for it during my first application in Lagos and it's also virgin passport.
I prayed for God to touch her heart and let the lady checking know it's way back in Lagos. We came all that way.
She let us through but please learn from this and go with yours.

Also of you have been denied before, stay through to your previous answers. If you must adjust your answers, expantiate on it instead.

I'm just happy to be out of this stage of life for now and go get that masters degree.

Is it possible and advisable to use the existing application number to create a new application for the ds-160 just to check and review some information without submitting? Ofcourse you can, but not all fields will be repopulated.

What day this week? If it's after Wednesday, you can still fill a new ds form today, and update ur new confirmation number on appointment portal.
Print the new ds and appoint letter.
But if ur appointment is Monday or Tuesday , even Wednesday is risky...but u can still tiak Wednesday
