Zigii: Good evening everyone! Been following this thread since 2019 and I'm about to begin my visa application journey...
I got a full ride at Amherst College; hence, in filling the Ds-160 form, what do I input as 'person paying for this trip'? Who is paying for your flight? .... you can use self and have your bank statement with flight cost. |

Do I ignore the old DS number or is there a way it can be deleted. Once you do it right, the old ds number will not appear on your appointment portal or printout. |

Slayyy001: Good day , Can someone who has had B1/B2 visa and expired 5 months ago schedule a fresh interview appointment for F1 visa for good reasons of career development with US admission ? The website says it’s ineligible to renew visa by swapping from one visa category to another.
I will appreciate your feedback and reply. Thanks . I absolutely have no idea |

Yes. If u are applying alone for F1 without other family members yes you can.
When u book the appointment... the space for ds 160 number, just fabricate it and submit.
But make sure you fill the ds 160 form at least 3days before your interview and go back and edit your information on the appointment page and correctly fill the ds160 number and reprint appointment confirmation showing the correct ds 160 form number |

Luckymama: Madam please it is enough. You jump in to insult without stopping to think.
As Frank is perfect and can never make any mistake, please make sure you do exactly what he was telling that other lady to do which caused all this problem.
As they have rejected you for the first time (which has happened to most people), please make sure you don’t apply for any GCMS notes. Don’t bother to apply a second time o. Just go straight to judicial review. After all you can afford it and you will “recoup your money in a few months”. You didnt tackle the issue of judicial review alone which by the way I also think it's expensive, but there are people on this forum that can comfortably afford it without blinking. What you refused to acknowledge is the fact that you attacked his personality by questioning why he is here all these years helping people, and how you will move on from this thread once you are done with this stage of your life. Yes a lot of us will do that, the more reason to appreciate those who do this selflessly. Every other thing you wrote up there is childish banter which I choose to ignore. |

NwanyiOkpa: first year is $21k CAD. MAsc in oil and gas engineering.
I have ordered GCMS notes.
Since it's just one reason why my application was denied, guess i have to focus on finance for my next app.
what i submitted was about $45k CAD.
Frankrobbn Luckymama Tonyodg Vibrant99 Frathermathy Seun Lalasticlala Gcms notes will shed more light. My refusal letter also mentioned finance while gcms notes was all about my employment and study gap. Regardless it will give you more light on how to go about it . For example you might need to transfer the living expenses from your sponsor to your personal account and explain it out. |

Luckymama: I am not a know it all. I just say what I see. I actively comment on the thread because I know I have benefited a lot from what I have read here and I try to give back in what little way I can.
We Nigerians don’t like to tell the truth. You are attacking and insulting me now because you don’t like what I am saying. But you know it’s the truth.
I am active on this thread now because this is the stage of life I am in. If God wills and I move on to the next stage, I will move on to other things. How many of the commenters on this thread from 2017 are still here? Anxieties of life has moved them on. They are struggling with school, jobs, bills and mortgages.
But you can all believe and do whatever you want and wish. So because you are the type to eat and move on, you dont believe in people that dedicate their life to giving back? The first day I called Frank, he didnt even act weird about how I got his number. He replies my messages at night and early mornings. He calls me back when I give him missed calls. I have never met him and he has no reason whatsoever to give me audience. But this is who he is! So respect him for his personality. AIP have really turned you into something else. |

Hello nairaland family, Got final response and gcms @notes today. I have been refused based on purpose of visit and financial assets.
I have options to defer to January or September but I'm not sure what to do right now.
Brief summary;
Bsc Accounting 2014 Ican 2019 Working as an accountant Going for MBA at mun, tuition 4833 cad per year unpaid Sponsorship letter of 10,500 cad Applied without spouse and kids.
I'm thinking I could pay one year tuition, work on my SOP and apply against January but worried their quota for the year is almost full and I might not get a fair reassessment.

Frankrobbn1: This is NAIROBI's Immigration response to enquiries sent to their office. It appears that they have acknowledged your enquiry and appended the supporting documents you submitted in your last enquiry. Give it a month and reorder your GCMS note to be certain they have worked on your file.
It will end in praise. I ordered for GCMS notes August 23rd, still expecting it. I believe it will tell me more. |

Pls house, is this response generic?
I applied for study permit May 23rd. No update till date.
I sent a detailed email of enquiry to Nairobi on September 2nd restating the pros in my application and attaching correspondence from my scholarship board and got this response this morning.
Just want to know if its generic or I should stay hopeful cos I'm already hopeless... lol
