Guys if you can, try to do things yourself. I was coerced to use agent by my folks. Up till now, no update is what I have been hearing. I don't even have access to my own dashboard. Nairaland has all the info you need. Learn from my errors, try to limit the use of agent. Now I am only waiting for replies. Only have my bvl letter. No gckey or sign in. Nothing
With your information on your biometrics request letter, you can create a profile online and link it up for updates

Yes. Applied May 23rd and got AIP Aug 6th. Medicals passed
Was your medical requested or upfront?

Yes I know someone who received theirs from my end with an application dated May 23ed and 24th. Keep your fingers crossed and be hopeful you receive the AIP letter soonest.

It will end in praise.
I'm really worried, especially with my withdrawal of application and subsequent cancellation of the withdrawal. I think I made it complicated.

I figured since eligibility and background checks have both been running since June, that means they are processing the application. I'm hopeful

Any applicant between May 23rd and May 30th got AIP yet?

The wait is not easy.

Congrats to those that got theirs

Me too o.

Eligibility and background check is undergoing review.

I think we should exercise more patience.

It's better late with success than early with rejection.

I don't think those who applied after May 15th have received medical requests. I could be wrong but I am yet to see any. If there's anyone here, do well to indicate.

Secondly, how sure are you that they mail those bodies you've just mentioned? That would unnecessarily delay the process. I think they'll only mail them if there are noticeable inconsistencies in your application or if they're not sure of the authenticity of your documents. I doubt if it's the norm. However, I could be wrong.
Another moniker in the previous page or so, applied June 10th and already got medical request

Chai, see people just dey get medicals o, God I dey wait my own turn too o
When did you apply?
I applied May 23rd... still waiting o

I suspect that it depends on the visa Officer handling each case and how fast they receive responses from the bodies confirming our documentation, eg banks, work places and scholarship bodies.

So much tension in the air...

I don't know if upfront is REALLY no longer required, or applicants just want to scale through the first approval stage before doing medicals. Anyways, send an email to canadamedicals@qlifefamilyclinic.com.

I had long booked with them for 30th of July but may not make that day.. Whoever wants my space should holla.
I will like to use your space.
I once received a PM prompt from you but when I checked my mail, there was nothing there.

Nothing I have said contradicts the instruction from IRCC, so I don't know where the above bolded is coming from.

IRCC want to help students start their program as soon as possible, but that won't bring the approval rate up by 50% for Nigerian applicants. They will still use whatever metrics they use to decide applicant's fate. I share the opinion that it will be easier to get visa approval now more than ever (I have said this before), but starting your program online without the first stage approval will be very expensive.

Newfoundland is good but I moved out of there already. The pandemic is taking a toll on us all, so I apologise if I came across as offensive.
You adjusted your argument...
Your former stance made it seem like a totally bad idea until final approval is in hand.

Anyway I totally understand your initial standpoint and it's good advise except for those of us with funding or attending low tuition schools like MUN...

You should look up post graduate diploma programs instead.

Good Morning, Please i have some questions and i will appreciate an answer from you as a lot depends on what decisions i take as i am going to my intending sponsor this coming weekend and i want to give him a comprehensive lowdown of facts.

1) I have a GPA of 3.15 Geology and want to apply to MUN for MBA, He is ready to sponsor me through it all, please what are my chances.

I read i need to write Gmat exams, please can you avail me with possible materials or links, i can prepare in short notice.

If i can't get MBA can i switch to Engineering as i don't want to go ahead with the very limited geology.

Thank You in anticipation.
Is your GPA on a 4.0scale?

Minimum GPA for Masters in MUN 'should be' 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

I also think it'll help too, this V.Os are humans too. Because it already covers a great part of the financial related questions they'd ask you. For you to complete a semester means you're a prospective student that would most likely stay in school and you already got your tuition covered. One just has to prepare a response to the online stuff like oga muleriders said.
True
TravelRe: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by librangyps(f): 12:33pm On Jul 10, 2020
If you enroll online this fall and your school is only offering in person classes for subsequent semesters, I believe this should up your chances of obtaining a Visa.

I already deferred to spring 2021 though, as my classes are mixed and I had a deferment deadline to conform to.

Thank you for your response but let me add this. He has gotten admission from the school through a scanned copy of the reference letter received from the lecturer. It is not that he is just seeking for the admission. He got the admission through a scanned copy he sent to the school. This copy was from the lecturer. I agree with your suggestion of the lecturer sending them an e-mail to this effect. What they require is just the hard-copy. The letter was properly addressed. The only error he made was writing his (my brother's) name on the envelope instead of his (lecturer's).
Don't stress yourself as long as theres no error with the content. A lecturer can seal a letter and give the student to send

We believe that we can help you if your study permit application is denied by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). It is therefore important that you inform us as soon as possible if your application is denied.

We look forward to welcoming you to our graduate programs!

Ehh!!! Why didn't you ask before submitting.. For online applications, you are to write your full name according to how it is on your international passport on the line given for signature
Me too I wrote my first and last name without my middle name, infact everything just tire me.

Hopefully my school can help cos they just sent me an email that incase of a refusal from the embassy they can help.

We are at the point where we have to face reality. The Embassy is still closed and will be until futher notice. So accept any request to defer your admission to Spring 2021, beyond or an online option. If I were you I will wait till August b4 taking a decision
August might be too late to defer.

My department (MACIS @ Virginia tech) gave me July 6th as deadline to defer to spring.

Hello Gurus

My passport was issued in the UAE and it is written on the passport. In the IMM1294e form there is a section where they asked "COUNTRY OR TERRITORY OF ISSUE" and i filled Abu dhabi UAE. Then when i was trying to upload it on the IRCC website it keeps giving me an error that i have chosen Nigeria as my Nationality in the checklist section. Please what can i do
Nigeria is still the country of issue regardless where you received it. Abi na UAE passport you hold?

No.. An engineer is thinking of applying so I thought to ask especially if it's even possible
Did you submit GMAT?
what's ur own first degree?
Full or part time?
Did you get funding?
What was the duration between application and admission decision?

Sorry for plenty questions o.. Kindly answer
My Indian friend with Engineering background also got it.
I have Accounting background.
Full time but taking fall semester online due to covid
We both did gmat
No funding, tuition is less than Cad 1500 per semester
Less than 3months application duration.

I was supposed to join the fall 2019 class but had to defer the whole process till this year cos my gmat score wasn't ready. Long story.

I submitted gmat score in October and received admission decision in November of 2019 against fall 2020.

Undergraduate background doesn't matter much, your application is looked at as a whole.
Work experience, gpa, test score, essays etc.

Same thing happened to me.
Did sciences , same orphan story , same work story.

I had to retake waec to earn commerce credits and studied Bsc. Accounting.

Today I am a chartered Accountant with scholarships to study abroad for my MSC. after Covid wahala.

By the way I had 8 years study gap from my first waec to when I eventually went for Accointing.
It's never late to dust yourself up!
It's not how far but how well.

All the best!

Hi All,

Please I need help as I am very confused and don't know what to do.
I applied for the study permit visa about 6 weeks ago...I just decided to go through my application on Wednesday evening and I realized I made a huge mistake that may be said to be a misrepresentation. The question of "have you ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country", I selected No instead of Yes. I was refused a tourist visa to Portugal last year. I submitted a web form immediately I noticed the error, stating how I was refused and the reason I was refused. It was genuinely an oversight.
Please do you think I should withdraw my application immediately or I should wait till I get a response?
Please help!!
I doubt Portugal is among the countries Canada shares info with .
Whatever the case, no need to withdraw the web form you filled will do.
