I don't know why the government is going all out to milk all Nigerians of every single penny in our pocket
Tax here and there. Yet, nothing to show for it except two railways
Sanwo-ediot banned Keke and Okada, and promised to provide an alternative that will be run by the government. The government wants to be in charge of everything.
They may not be able to identify uber drivers, buy they can identify you through uber. Maybe Uber and Bolt will ask all drivers to provide a nonsense document from the government, or else you'll be yanked off... And that will be it |

peeps4u: I don talk this tire yesterday that drivers need to go and approach uber and force uber to communicate on the next move in clear terms but people are waiting to see the first VIO casualty before action. To even tweet on this issue na wahala. Most tweets I read on this issue are from non-drivers.
We are the reason why our nation is like this. We are receptive to every thing govt throws at us and adjust instead of voicing out.
Anyone thay wants to do hackney permit should go ahead and do it. It is obvious drivers ain't even ready to act on this VIO issue. The drivers do not seem to have an issue with it anyway Government ban Keke and Bike, everybody begin use uber and danfo When dem clamp down on uber, everybody go stick to Danfo and Yellow Taxi Guess who'll laugh last? The problem i see here is that Uber drivers are not being proactive
Why are you guys not gathered at Lekki or Maryland to demand explanations from Uber and Bolt? Everybody just sit down on top him chair dey wait for the first VIO scapegoat
Uber has always had issues with local cab businesses. They have been banned in some countries, and they have issues in some states in the USA. Or you guys expect those old, tribal marked men to go and farm in their villages?
Uber and Bolt are keeping quiet because you all are keeping quiet.
If i were you guys, i'll enquire from the VIO, and march to Uber to solve the requirement issues. If Uber no gree, make una off app.
When dem go, another Nigerian go build him own, una go join and hustle continues
Make una use una strength for once |

confusedworld17: What's all this fuss self about Uber/Bolt drivers cashing out as a result of the ban on keke and okada ?
Sweetheart, I'm still grossing just about the same range of between 8k to 11k in a day, that's about the same range I used to make before the ban. I work from 2pm to 12 am apart from weekends. Most times self I don't even get request until between 4pm and 5pm before the biz go set. Well, maybe na people wey dey work full day dey cash out. The traffic self this days na die. Even police men for check points at night now dey tell me say... Guy settle us, after all government don ban keke and okada, na una uber drivers dey make all the money now. Talking about Police men... had one funny experience with one yesternite along that domino's pizza, Adekunle axis.
So I was on a trip to lekki, lost in my thought. The next thing I don beat traffic light, next thing, two police on bike for my front dey flag me down to pack. I pulled over, one of them enter my car we begin the normal negotiation. After going back and forth, oga police agreed to take 1k. the police man inside my car wants to play a fast one on the other one on bike, oga police say okay make I sharperly use my hand put the 1k inside his pocket so that the one on bike no go see say I give am money. At that time na only 1k 200 naira dey with me, me wey know how I dey take arrange my money, I quickly put hand for where the 200 naira dey and quickly slide the 200 naira into the police man pocket. Immediately oga police commot for my car, na so I fire my car face thirdmainlandbrigde. I sure say e go take am sometime before he go realize wetin happen. THEIR FADA! Make Satan help am, make him order one Heineken and peppersoup, hoping 1k dey rest for him pocket |

pope191: Boss do they have permanent site at these locations, what if they read this and choose to change location? They don't. VIO was brought back to remove rickety vehicles off the major roads. They don't really check for particulars anymore because their pickups are installed with one device that scans through all the number plates that passes That said, they stop drivers once in a while for LASDRI. This Hackney permit stuff just started. And the reason is because the uber driver is a private car for commercial purposes. Simple My only advice is if you own your car, make your enquiries. You can never beat the government. It's not possible. |

Babadee1900: Since the issue of VIO harassment started I have been avoiding Isheri/Berger area. For now best thing is to avoid them. The bend off Ikorodu road to Oshodi Mile 2: Near the Total filling station The street that links you from Ogunlana street to Cele Expressway They always like to create their checkpoints close to their offices. They don't work weekends, and they close by 4pm These are some of the info I know about them |

I read here when a rider told us he defended his Uber driver from the hands of VIO last year.
They asked for LASDRI and Hackney permit. I read it here.
Rumor or not, the wise thing to do is to unitedly know the way forward.

Vision2045: I really don't think that is attainable...Uber and Bolt have the operators license to carry out business in the state and that is conferred on their partners ..the highest that can happen is asking them to leave.
And u guys need to stop all these clout you are building because very soon the government will leverage on those unlost things u people are seeking...wetin the person go find for vio office wey bring about such irrelevant discussion Gokada, Max and Opay all had licenses and yet they crumbled their enterprise Uber and Bolt registered as Tech companies, not transport firms. They have always been having issues with local cab businesses, not just in Nigeria. Instead of consoling yourself with being ignorant, beat the system by finding a solution for yourself. Know what is happening and know how to evade them. You guys can help yourself by listing routes where VIO usually occupy. Maybe you all can work with that for now. |

A lot of you people have turned this thing into scam; looking innocent and poor driver to scam with 5k charge for background checks.
Any car owner that demands any fee for background checks is a scammer. 5k multiplied by 20 NEW drivers will give him 100k That's innovation, bro |
