BBC IS RACIST. why associate the loss with a black mans face ? had the usa won they would have picked a white person in the crowd to highlight and associate with the win. you guys have to notice these subliminal racial denigration of black people by the media

Very very very good. Seems like this man shares the same mind with me. Y'all were crying and raking at ASUU because of the strike. Instead of y'all to hold the FG who have never kept up with any agreements or promises y'all sided with them. Please double that 85k self. How can you study in the university for such meagre amount? Does Nigeria look like Germany or Brazil? If you want free education, go and complain to the FG. This UNN VC has balls. Don't listen to those headless cowards. angry

The thing pain this lazy ASUU member. God bless FG for this no work no pay rule. Nigerians are solidly behind FG. If ASUU embark on another strike, the Student will channel their anger to ASUU members Nationwide. EndSars will be a Child's play, compared to what will befall all members of ASUU.
Wetin this one dey yarn? The salaries and agreements that FG hasn't met up with how far those ones ne? You haven't gone on any Nationwide protests upon the soaring increase in prices of common commodities this year, you haven't done anything about the crazy salaries and allowances that FG pays the HORs. Of course, you and ASUU are all the same: cowards. grin useless Africans.

Pay them for what exactly? The work that they didn't do? These people were not even ready to end the strike after 8 months until court ordered them to! Shame.
I won't even bother responding because you don't even have a clue about what we're talking about.

This current administration doesn't owe them salary before they embarked on strike
shocked so because Buhari doesn't owe them salary he shouldn't pay them. That means if a project is going on in your community the next admin has every right to abandon it when they take over office. The way we dey reason for this country ehn grin. After now una go dey blame the Queen or Britain for the continued impoverishment grin

For what exactly? Pay them for 8 months that they didn't work? Would you pay your worker if he didn't come to work for just 2 weeks?
And if you don't pay him for doing work doesn't he have the right to go on strike or even take your ass to court? ASUU have every right to continue that strike because the FG is sure to mess up again. Maybe they should start introducing heavy fees in our universities so this nonsense will stop, the free education don high una brains. No be everybody suppose go school self kiss undecided

Beyond whose brain capacity. Your useless daddy and his senators are smiling to the bank every month for doing next to nothing, yet, you're happy defending and happily holding all their cocks in your mouth and deriding ASUU for trying to solve the matter peacefully.

U are absolutely right sir, he sounded so stupid, imagine comparing Nigerian soldier to British soldier, comparing Nigerian economy with that of Europeans.
Nigeria and Africa is still 2000 years backward, take white outta of South Africa and let blacks manage it, watch them burn d economy into ashes.
Black man with black heart, whether they like it or not, we are too selfish and heartless to ourselves. Look at d situation in d country, how many ministers resigned nor were sacked? But if what's happening had happened in Western world, Minister of Economy and Finance Minister would hv resigned.
Was it not d other day that British Pm resigned?
This is nothing but the truth. Human beings are naturally selfish, hypocritical and wicked, but ours is just top of the chain. Since most of us has chosen to delude ourselves we can continue. The ones that vex me the most are those idiots who carry their afrocentrist mindset to Europe, Asia or America. You should have stayed in your country to sell your worthless penny-a-million ideals.

North Africa down to the middle east were completely blacks. Arab slavery was the cause of the White wash.

Without being told, for the whites in south Africa to settle at their current location is an indication that they arrived there via water as the British did arrive via southern Nigeria and Cameroun.
Una don come with this una rubbish. cheesy grin

maasoap:

The most terrible thing was lecturers going on strike for almost a year without even considering the plight of students and parents, with no sign of resumption before courts ordered them back to class.
Should they have been rewarded for going on strike for 8 months just like that, no stress? That will embolden them to go for straight 24 months strike knowing fully well that that their salary will be paid in full.
Even if government is going to pay them, they need to apologise to the students and parents
Brainless zombie grin. Nothing sensible can ever come out of a buharist of course.

I actually wanted to make a thread on this today and advice newbies finding it hard to get jobs to not give up.

We are an agency and not a product based company so I can't really say how this will affect us yet. As for work I work more hours and work weekends to make myself more valuable to the company i work for. I have been doing this for the past three months now and got a raise. Monday through to Sunday at least 10 hours daily.

I would say if you have a job put in extra hours. Justify your position and your pay. For those looking, don't be discouraged. Booms and bust are part of life. It's why you need to build reserve and avoid lifestyle inflation when the money hits.

It's not easy and it's not even December yet.

My only problem with this layoffs and hiring freezes is that they will make remote roles very difficult for Africans to get. There's very few remote roles available now compared to when I started in 2020.
Calm down oh. No go kill yourself on top work.

However, few remote roles? Honestly, with the way things are going out of hand I hope.... Nevermind
