@all,
Recently my 3m fibre signal reception began deteriorating as the foil began peeling off. Over the weekend, I had to do a thorough maintenance job on it to restore its performance. Now it is back
and kicking strong. Re-foiling pictures have been posted in the relevant nilesat thread. BBC, Euronews, Aljazeera, CCTV, all the MBCs, MTV arabia, fox, etc are dancing once again on my screen!

CNN is btw 48 to 50% best. Looks like the weather is a contributory factor.

https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-419494.96.html#msg8440668
Very true bro, even here in the north.

@KUNGU,
What's the % of your 11727H & 12188H on Nilesat 201. I only have 11727H @ 47% on 1.8M pan

@geometry,
Thanks for the clarification, i will be patient to follow the tutorials.

@geometry, thanks for all ur efforts making this forum interesting.

I have seen a concrete mold of a sat dish in front of a shop & by my estimate, its size shld be 2.5M. it is well caved out with cement dat i believed the person used a real dish to create the mold.

My questions are:
1)Will one require a real dish sample to create a mold?

2)if yes, does it mean, each time one has to fabricate a particular size, one will need a sample from elsewhere to create the mold?

3)if No, what's the way out to fabricating several sizes without necessarily looking a a real sample to create a mold?

Tanx.

d rain @ my end affected d signal of my NILESAT and i woke up dis morning to work on it which i have done, after about an hour i discover dt all d TP dt is HORIZONTAL (H) turn red and V are green. what could have been d cause and what is d solution. 10Q

You have to buy another Lnbf coz the present one has been bridged & so only one polarity can work at any given time i.e if u skew it some more the H
will turn green while the V will become red.

I have several pauxis prime focus Lnbfs with similar problems during raining season in the past but since changing to fuji Lnb close to 4years now,that problem is history.

@ALL,

Enjoy the best of Movies on Nilesat,  Time Movies rolling out exciting & captivating movies, still enjoying it now since morning.

In fact, a combination of Time Movies(10720H27500), Top Movies(10873V27500), AWAZ(10949V27500) & Cliquette(10775H27500) is the bomb!

Enjoy solid entertainment on Total FTA.

@Gen P.O.V,

Forget abt the thieving aspect! Tell us your browsing experience.

As for me, it varies with location across the country & level of urbanization. Generally from Good to fair.

we do have it in kano, Nigeria. i visited a major sat dealer sep ,2010 & he showed me this HD STR 4930 complaining that since he brought it in, nobody

was willin to buy. Actually when i looked at it it was so big that i also was not interested in buying it either-may be ignorance. Pls educate us abt it.

@enitan2002,
i feel u. BTW have u sorted ur 10992V on 13E?

@Freshp,
Tanx.

Don't mind these politicians. They know how to feed most Nigerians (usually gullible) lies.

Lets face it, even doctors now understand the politics they play,dats the reason for freq strike actions.
Imagine in Kaduna state, the governor announced in June,2010 on state TV that salary was increased by 75% but at the end of the month, total increment was 1.5%.
When doctors threatened to go on strike,the politicians called all the religious leaders to plead & most times u cant just say no to these elderly people.

By Jan. 2011, the govt deceived(coz NMA foolishly sent sms to all doctors & raised doctors hope) the NMA KD chapter dt 90% of COMESS will be implemented till june & from july it will be 100% but dear Nigerians & NLders til date whn bank alert came today that promise have not been fulfilled.

@freshp, enitan & ALL,
Pls dont crucify me, if u pay close attention, u'll notice that my time of posting is usually late night or early morning cos of my very very tight schedule but i promise to improve.
Pls dont misunderstand my silence as being RUDE OR SECRETIVE.

i have sent the details of sat & highest freq in my location to illish. @illish kindly distribute it.

I'll find time to give a comprehensive details of other sats.
PLEASE, ONCE MORE FORGIVE MY attitude. Thank you

@enitan2002

I love this statement-there's a HD station close to 13E where they show everything showbable concerning sporting events.

Pls, pls and pls lets not divulge it beyond the above statement in an open forum. Anybody asking should do it via PM. I have enjoyed every bit of it for

2months & have shared it with a forum member here, only waiting for time to pass it round. Thank God u are doing it responsibly.

pls lets chat via email.kindly drop urs, i will reach across to u. Am also working on the new trojans but no positive feed back so far.

I was talking of fairly used trojans but the 1000Ah sonnenschein batteries are brand new in their packs with accessories.

These are pure AGM batts made in Germany. 200Ah(HAGEN, HOPPECKE), 650Ah(HOPPECKE), 1000Ah(SONNENSCHEIN).

New Trojan batts are diff to get but fairly used ones are occasionally brought out as scraps from telecom companies.

1000Ah/2volt batts are available for sale: pix below. Contact:-life707@rocketmail.com

@George_D
With what u have posted so far, i believe ur solar panels deserve superior batt technology than zenith IF UR INTENTION IS TO INCREASE YOUR BATT BANK. I will post what i mean, then we start from there. Honestly i thought i was comfortable with my solar array but urs made mine look like a piece of cake. Respect bro!

That chairman is a big disgrace & he should be severely punished for what he has done. That should serve as deterrent to others like him.

DETERRENT to who?.They will only say he is a novice & needs more coaching.
