Hey !

The goal and objective of a mock interview is to simulates the real-life interaction between you and the VO . If you are willing to attend physically then i am willing to assist .

Most (not all) online or virtual version of mock interview training is incomplete and generally lacks discipline.

Imagine someone during an online mock interview training sitting on a bed while the TV is on . A lady was doing mock interview training inside her car while her kids were distracting her .

Your body languages has to be tested . 1.Some people are shy in the presence of the VO.
2.Some cannot talk immediately they saw crowd . 3. Some cannot stand the stress of rigorous questions.

HOW WILL ONLINE MOCK INTERVIEW ADDRESS THOSE ISSUES ?

....Get the possible questions and answers based on your I 20 and have someone drill you physically till about 3 days towards your appointment.

There is God...don't give up.

Hi NewBoyKhashoggi, where's your location?

Can we schedule an appointment for a mock session?

PLEASE EVERYONE, THIS FRIDAY WILL MAKE IT 3 WEEKS THAT I HAVE BEEN STUCK ON THIS PAGE.
LAGOS CENTER. HOW MUCH LONGER DO I NEEE TO WAIT BEFORE I CAN SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT.

STOP SENDING MULTIPLE REQUESTS.

Send your request just once and wait for the response from the scheduling team.

For some reason, I think when you send multiple requests, you'll be sending your request down the "queue" or something.

Good day!
My bro(29yrs old) just finished his interview for student visa and was not approved.
He said he was asked if he was married and he said No and they said sorry his visa will not be approved!.
He was meant to resume in January.
Pls what was the issue and what can we do now?
It's so exhausting to get to this stage and be turned back.
Kindly advice what we can do next.
Thank you all in anticipation of your response.

Do you mean the bolded was all that was asked? I doubt.

Kindly share his well-detailed transcript, profile, scholarship received, and course of study.

The above information and more will assist the gurus in the house to best assess what went wrong.

Hello everyone, please help with my dilemma.

" Previously Refused - Visa refused in the last 6 months (WARNING: Your appointment will be cancelled for providing false information. If your appointment is cancelled, you will need to re-pay your visa fee)

Regular - Visa not refused in the last 12 months "

Putting the above scenario in context, I was delayed in the year 2020. The delay is more than 6 and 12 months as specified.

Which of the categories above do I qualify for - previously refused or regular?

Please, help me.

I have resolved my issue.....I simply changed my interview location to Abuja. I immediately got a date.

Hi, thank you for this information.
But I have a question.

Does it mean if you fill your DS-160 using Lagos as the location, you can choose to have your interview in Abuja?

Your interview shouldn't be necessarily tied to the DS-160 location, right?

I anticipate your kind response.

My post is not to deride you or any 3rd class graduate, everyone deserves a second chance and many things could have lead to ur 3rd class (I know a friend who dropped out due to finance issues). That said, the voucher is just one, let him give it to anyone with a scholarstic profile but lacks the required funds for GRE, that way everyone will be certain the voucher will be put to good use. As for you, ur 3rd class could be a result of ur poor studying skills and also because u did not pay for the GRE u may end up bottling it for the same reason that made u end up with a 3rd class. Life is hard its just the bitter truth and that is why scholarship bodies look out for some scholarstic profile before awarding scholarships because they know every failure will have an excuse for their failure, so opportunities like this are not meant for people like u, truth is bitter.

Bros, this your yarn no just follow abeg. I don't know if you purposely said all these things to get noticed - fine, you've been noticed.

Don't pull a brother down because you want to sound anything but intelligent.

3rd class or not, there is no end to learning and improvement.

I also know someone who graduated with a third class, simply because she was very beautiful. She was the target of every lecturer in her department and beyond and was victimized because she refused to give it up for marks or anything in the world at the time. A couple of others had poor scores again, because they weren't privy to the existing underground connects/agents recruiting clients for sorting lecturers. Those are bitter truths too. The person seeking to gift the voucher is not a scholarship board and just wanted to know why anyone would need it. It was really tacky to have stood on your little soap box to vet and rule out who was deserving and who wasn't. Especially as the offer wasn't yours to give. His GPA upgrade might even be a WES evaluation away, for all you know.

Thanks for your wise words!

I wrote a piece some time ago on the need for us not to equate intelligence with test scores. The Nobel Laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka is a classical example.

Thanks for your response ,but can I get an authentic bank statement from the bank but the sponsor isn’t aware? Will they contact the sponsor?

I don't think this is feasible. Kindly look for sponsors who are ready to give you their bank statements. Danger lurks when you go through the backdoor. No bank will give you their customers' bank statements without the customers' authorization. How do you want to go about this in the first place? Even shee-car-go cannot grant this request.

Please, get a sponsor or work hard to get a scholarship.

Good morning guys please I need your response on this🙏
Does embassies call to get information about visa applicants' and sponsors' bank details directly from the bank.

If anyone knows anything about this I will appreciate their feedback. Thanks.

Yes, they confirm those details. I don't know how this is done, but they do. Hence, you are required to present only genuine documents to the visa officer.

Hello house, who has been admitted to East Tennessee state she and gotten a tuition scholarship, how did you go about it. Please any contribution is appreciated.

While you await a response from anyone who has gotten admission and a scholarship from East Tennessee, I suggest you look up the school's website and most importantly, the specific department's page for the scholarship requirements. You can also check the international scholarship page if there is any.

NOTE: Some schools do offer scholarships based on merit. If you merit it, you'll get it automatically.

I hope this helps!

Sir, you don't need to go with the sponsorship letter. Go with the bank statement - that should suffice.

Please everyone, I need your intervention on my this. My dad is the US and he paidy SIVES using his home address..... Since I noticed that, I've been mailing homeland security to help me change my address that the person that paid for me used his address not my own but no response from them. I called them, they said they have lots of issues to address and they are addressing them according, so they sent a confirmation mail. I printed it out and took it along to the embassy.

First attempt
Denied
COA: $36921
No funding
Interview proper
Me: Good morning
VO: Good morning
I can see you're going to study nursing
Me: yeah! my desire for nursing arouse when I realized that my Twin sister Omolara is a sickle cell anemia patient, I have seen her gone through pain, crisis and challenges with out me having much help to render to her, this made me join a foundation called Sickle cell advocacy management initiative. At the foundation, we create awareness, educate and support sickle cell patients. we also have an insight on how to help the sickle cell patients by encouraging them, advicing them on living healthy and knowing the danger signs. (cuts me off)
VO: Do you have anyone in the US
Me: No
VO: Asked me about my school (I can't really remember how she asked)
Me: out of the three schools that offered me admission, which are Norwich University, University of Indianapolis and Lander University, I chose Lander University because they have an average class size of 22 which will give me a direct access to my professor and this will aid in my study also, Lander has been educating nurses for the past 50years which makes them one of the best (cuts me off)
VO: Who is sponsoring you
Me: My mother Mrs Bleep who works at Bleep as a Bleep. My mother's annual income is 60 million Naira (cuts me off)
VO: Do you have any relative in the US
Me:No
VO: how many siblings do you have?
Me: 2 My twin sister and my younger brother who is here in Lagos in high school
VO: What about your dad?
Me: My dad is in the country, My dad is the CEO of Bleep that deals with Bleep (cuts me off)
VO: issues me a blue paper

Dear Sir/Ma,

I think you did reasonably well with the interview. But, why exactly would you have to lie? If your Dad is in the US, tell them so. They have that information at their disposal. When you approach a VO, they see you as an intending immigrant. Lies will only end up complicating things for you. Try again.

Strange that this very active thread has suddenly got quiet since this issue of fraud was brought here. It goes to show how terrible some Nigerians are.

Sir, the reason is not far-fetched. It is simply because of the different WhatsApp groups that were created for date search. So many peeps after getting an interview date, and thereafter attend their interview, won't come back here to say something so that we can learn. Instead, they just go from there. If you noticed, it has been long someone came here to say something about their interview experience. It is quite sad.

I think this whatsapp thing should stop!!

If I knew this was an option I would have gone through this rather than passing through all this stress...I guess knowledge is power after all

This issue is not new. It is rampant here in Nigeria. I don't really know why many Nigerians behave this way. They always look for ways to exploit innocent people because of their seemingly stupid knowledge of how some things work. I had a similar experience when I wrote my TOEFL some years back. I tried downloading the score report and I saw this humongous bill as a charge-back. I wrote to the man and he kept on telling one story to the other. I applied pressure oh. I even went to his office a couple of times before he cleared that bill. Here is the moral of the story.

Avoid cheap offers, especially when you want to write these exams. Some of una no go hear sha, una wan save cost, but that's the truth. You can pay for your exams yourself. Avoid agents and all these cheap centers that do offer TOEFL, GMAT, e.t.c trainings, na them worst pass.

@mercyof, so sorry for your ordeal.
