dupyshoo: This is untrue. A lot of women support their husbands in the UK even while the men are messing around. At least I know loads of such relationships around me. Have you even heard the wife's part of the story? It is so wrong to say this. There are bad men and women. So let's stop generalising. am sure u don't know me. I don't even keep. friends talk less of keeping women. Woman will always be woman expecially when they don't want to reason with u |

babajeje123: I'm sorry but saying Nigerian women are very difficult is over-generalization. Quite a number of them that I have seen here are supportive of their husbands. OP should man up and beg the wife, not for Visa's sake but for the sake of their kids and for peace to reign. Again, may be *her* family members or the person she hold in high esteem should be involved. While at it, don't paint her black. All the best bro Thank u so much but I have never painted my wife black here. like people have being advocating a. exploring the alternative dispute resolution. Have being asured I will collect my visa without her but I want to put my family first. she too will be facing difficulties to cope with the kids. |

You should not be categorical if you are not sure of the true picture. my bro, I don't argue with people. all I know is that it is better imagined than experienced. untill the shoe pinches, that when one will know where it pains. thank u for ur submmission |

Stereotypes: Relationships don't suddenly disintegrate out of thin air. Were you caught doing duggeedugeee or were you doing dugeedugee while thinking she didn't know?
How were you both in Nigeria before you ported? If both of you moved from Nigeria, this is her repaying you for all that happened there.I have noticed the women wait till they land and then execute their revenge.
There's no way this marriage was happy and both of you were on the same page.
Very strange that she didn't let you put your name in any document,it means she had been planning this for a while and had checked out since.
How did you not notice?
Don't blame friends, its our usual default pattern when we notice our partner is no longer behaving like the usual default setting.
Your wife doesn't like you anymore and has been erasing you since bit by bit.
Once a woman reaches this stage, she's fed up.
Since its not working, please move on and coparent peacefully for the sake of your children while looking for immigration lawyer.
Chai! You go suffer no be small o! New apartment, visa fees, lawyer fees, bills bills bills .

Look after your mental health, don’t let this drain you and affect your job. Speak to people you trust and don’t bottle things as we Africans usually do.
Settle in your new place and maintain a healthy relationship with your kids, if with time things works out between you and your wife good , if not then it’s what it’s . Life goes on. thank u bro |

Renting another apartment, engaging lawyers, contacting home office and all that …. Are those things done for free ? 6 months visa is not 6 years visa so time is of the essence….saying sorry or dialogue has never killed anybody yes u are right, but when ur sorry has not being Woking until u are pushed out will u still keep saying sorry u till u are knocked out. like someone will say, it is better imagined than experienced. Hopefully it will not get to that, you moving out may calm things down and both of you will have a rethink and sort things out
Homeoffice will not separate you from your kids, before the visa expires write HomeOffice to explain your situation. They deal with it on case by case basis.
Stay strong, you will be fine. thank u so much |

Bourne007: Sorry to hear. For unforeseen situation like this, the process of switching to another category doesn't come cheap.
The cheapest will be to switch to a skilled work / Health visa OR Temporary Worker - Religious Worker visa but you will have to find a sponsor The easiest is to switch to a student visa There's Innovator visa (formerly Tier 1 Entrepreneur) but requires lots of investment funds. You can look up Startup visa (don't know if you are eligible)
You can also look up FLR (HRO) but it's a category outside the rules. The chances are slim hence doesn't guarantee approval.
All the best thank u |

Move out if you try all you can and she insisted but make an arrangement to be seeing your kids(if kids are involved.
Don't worry about deportation or anything like that because it will be difficult to get that done.
Like i said avoid any form of abuse or physical harm. Thank u justwise, I have moved out of the house since morning and am trying to rent a room to atleast stabilize myself. I just need more options on how to renew my visa as it will expire January Next year. |

Vicas2000: Thank you bro for your suggestion.
I actually sent them a 3 page "strongly worded letter" with the most polite insult I can ever write and within 24 hours of them receiving the letter, the passport was issued and they have sent me a text that the passport has been posted.
Awon oniranu jati jati.
Imagine asking me to send multiple pictures throughout pregnancy of me and my madam, hospital letters to prove right to citizenship when I had submitted birth certificate and record of hospital birth and naturalisation cert. When no be say I dey apply for UK visa..
How do pictures prove citizenship? How does Pictures and NHS letter supersede naturalisation cert and proof of birth?
I made sure to quote in my letter that I will be exercising my right to freedom of information and request every single information, comment, email, thought process of the case worker who is making this stupid request and also requests the number of applicants that they've asked this exact same criterion that they are asking me and I will subsequently be escalating it up the chain of command and through my member of parliament that the caseworker is prejudiced against me.
Within 24 hours - they have responded. I am sure the caseworker thought she was on to some fraudulent case or something. I was so willing to take it to the highest level. Oshisko. One reason y I like nairaland. Someone will always give u a working solution. Congratulations |

Ilekokonit: If I were you I would go for the plumbing training because :- i) i would be thinking of the effect of mechanic work on my spine long term as a lot of mechanics later suffer from lower back pain and slipped disks due to the strain on their back and vertebra from their work. ii) Plumbers also suffer from the effect of heavy lifting of boilers but it is nothing compared to that of mechanics and with age you can always diversify to only do annual gas inspections for landlords as against boiler servicing / fittings. iii) Electricians also tick all the boxes that plumbers do for me as they both are heavily regulated in the UK by NICEIC just like plumbers are regulated by the Gas Safe Register (a task formerly done by CORGI) .
UK plumbers deal with both kitchen drainage pipes, sewage (toilet drainage pipes) as well as central heating boiler systems unlike Nigerian plumbers who mainly deal with just the first 2 and I'm guessing that in the UK you can decide to specialize on Central Heating systems which I perceive has the most demand due to the yearly winter causing boiler problems all over the country.
During the Covid lockdown most people hardly used their cars and so mechanics must have suffered a fall in business. Electricians are needed a lot but by my estimation, not as much as Plumbers because come rain come shine there must be winter every year and with winter comes a lot of boilers breaking down up and down the country and eventually as a plumber, you can become self employed and earn GOOD money whilst self employed with your own van and tools.
So, for me, plumbing it is but what ever you do, i) choose a reputable, well recognized and well recommended plumber training school (search online) (train with Oyinbo British who fully understand their own plumbing systems / history), and make sure the trainer you choose is registered with the Gas Safe Register. ii) don't spare costs or cut corners whilst you are building this new foundation in your plumbing training. iii) post training the world is your oyster finance wise (literally) . Bro, thanks so much for the piece of idea. Actually, I am an electrical graduate that have flare for mecahincal engineering. My friend once told me to do plumbing like u advice and since its still under mechanical I will do more research on it. Thanks so much and God bless u. |

Tobexin: lol….. this a very simple common sense biz for lovers of dogs.
Firstly get a dog friendly apartment then proceed to this website https://www.pets4homes.co.uk/ search for English bull dogs…. Carefully go through the features of the dog…. Only purchase the ones that are KC registered ( not cross breed and certified by the Kennel club). You could get a puppy of this type for £3000 or above…. Insure the dog with a vet which costs £40-£50 monthly and you get their feed which is £50, meaning basically in a month you spend £100 on each dog if you have more than one. The Dog will be fertile to give in at 18months and it delivers it puppies within 60 days, kindly mate with the same KC registered male British bull dog, depending on how lucky you are your dog could produce 6 to 12 puppies like my friend’s dog gave birth to 12, each of this puppy have been sold for £3000…. Kindly multiply 3000*12= £36000 on just one dog oooo let say he has three of same dogs u see he is in big money. Note he only spent £3000 for the 18 months including all miscellaneous with his precious time in nurturing the dog.
If you have a male British bull Dog KC registered bull dog just put them up for mating. You get paid £500 for this. U are a good man and sure u don dey drink oyinbo water directly from the tap. A typical Naija man will never mention this. I beg if there are more ideas on side hustle, I am ready to learn |
