Deedsy: Just received my PPR.. Wow! I'm still surprised as I called IRCC just yesterday and was told my eligibility was recommended pass while my security had not been started. My AOR was on March 12 and due date Sept 12. I was thinking the Covid would have delayed the application.
I'm so grateful to God and to every single person here on Nairaland. And to all the mods who helped create fantastic page 1. That was all I read and that was what helped me submit a good application.
Thank you Nairaland. Congratulations!!! |

Jay35: Please house, I have a quick question.. Will The passport photograph(50 x 70mm that you are required to submit while filling forms post ITA), be used as the photograph that will be on your Visa if granted? Or is it the passport photograph taken of you during Biometrics. You'll still be required to submit another one at PPR |

ehix89: Hello Prettiepearlz, my girlfriend wants to enrol for the ACCA exam, she is a chartered accountant. According to her this exempts her from foundation courses of ACCA (F1-F4), i am pretty much confused about what courses she should enrol for to qualify her for an additional certificate. As much as she wants it for the whole immigration process she also wants to be ACCA certified. If she's a chartered accountant, this means she's only going to write the professional papers She can waive her exemption from F1-3, write the papers (anytime as its computer based), use it for WES evaluation, then just claim exemption from F4-9 and continue her ACCA journey. Writing the 4 professional papers is a longer route to getting an additional certificate (4 exam sessions per year), although she finishes her ACCA journey faster and a bit cheaper. Hope this helps |

I submitted my application for express entry CEC last month. Please I would like to find out the timeline between submission and biometrics. How long after submission am I supposed to get the biometrics request mail? I'll advise you to check Immitracker, but anywhere from 20 days after AOR these days |

temitayor007: Hi guys. Can someone help me provide further clarification on the requirements below, with more emphasis on what the statement - "at least one year continuous work experience" represents
*Skilled Work Experience; You need to have at least one year continuous, full-time (at least 30 hours of paid work per week) or equivalent part-time work experience in an occupation that is NOC A, B or 0, in the past 10 years*
Does the word "continuous" as mentioned above mean that an applicant must currently be in the employment of his/her primary NOC which must be at least 1year as at the time of creating EE profile?
Or does it mean that the applicant can use any 1year or more work experience in the last 10 years to be eligible
The reason why I'm asking this question is that one can resign his/her present job at anytime for a better offer, while still being in the EE process. I hope the word "continuous" doesn't mean that the person has to wait and spend atleast 1 year in this new job to be eligible for the EE.
Thanks guys It is a minimum requirement for FSW program. You need to at least have one full year work experience in any of those NOC categories as at when you apply. |

KikiJennifer7: Hi guys Please I need some clarification When filling the forms post ITA, there’s a section where they’ll ask if you’ve been denied Visa before. In 2016 my spouse applied for a student visa in Canada but it was denied. Reason being that the Visa Officer wasn’t convinced he’d return back to Nigeria after studies. My concern is this. Does this affect our application now in any way? Should we asides from the box they provided to state reasons include LOE? Would it also help the application if we can attach the correspondence btw him and the visa officer? Pls I need advise Thanks Doesn't affect your application in any way, no need for LOE. Just state the reason there. |

Ddnazy: Good afternoon all. Please has anyone successfully evaluated ACCA gotten by writing the final 4 papers at the professional level as 2 or more certificates?
Was preparing to write CIMA but got to know one can only get letter letter of good standing for WES evaluation after 6 months of becoming a student i.e February/March 2020. If I opt to write 4 final papers for Acca instead by December the result and certificate would be out.
Can anyone clarify please. Yes, you get Bachelor's (4 years) Canadian equivalency. But professional papers can be difficult and writing the 4 in December cn be quite daunting, not to mention expensive. |

winner01: Yes my eligibility is still above 67 and my CRS is 478 minus points for "relative in Canada". Do I really need to raise a LOE or should I just change it in personal detail since it doesn't affect my score? I believe you're good to go! All the best |

winner01: Hello house, I have a small issue. I stated that I have a family in Canada but was not given the 15 points for "relative in Canada" because the family is an aunt. Now I have an ITA and I need to prove that I have a relative in Canada. Can I simply remove this detail in personal detail when uploading my documents because even though I can get her PR card or citizenship proof, I can't prove beyond reasonable doubt that she's my aunt because we've not lived together for decades now? Also it won't reduce my CRS score since I wasn't given points for it in the first place.
Please I need your advice. Is she your blood aunt from your mother or father's side? You can provide birth certificates to prove relationship If you stated you have family in Canada, that means it was added to your FSW eligibility points, of which the minimum is 67 points. I'll suggest you should recalculate your eligibility points here and see if not adding your "aunt" still gives you a score above 67. If yes, then you're okay, you can just explain that you thought the aunt was a blood relative. If no, your application is ineligible for FSW and I would advise you to decline the ITA, unless you want them to reject the application and there's a chance to risk misrepresentation. Please note that eligibility grid (used to qualify to enter the pool) and CRS ranking (used to compete in the pool) are different. Hope this helps. |
