One of my female friend travelled this evening and when she was leaving, I told her a lady is coming to visit me — she knows her, but I didn't tell her, but I didn't reveal that part. She wasn't happy, but said, "Okay, no problem."

I we got in and I said, "The kitchen is yours. I have a catfish for you to cook there."

It was 8 PM already. I sat in the living room while she was using the restroom. She came out and sat close to me and we started talking about life and I asked her some questions of what's going on between her and her father.

"My father should be proud of me that I don't misbehave outside and hide it from him like other girls," she said and went on to tell me some personal info.

I started dating this girl around August this year, she was the first person I dated. We have know ourselves for long before we started the relationship. On my part I started expending my agriculture business and she also help me to buy a residential land here in Benin City. All I wanted was a great future for both of us so therefore I wanted us to used this/next year to plan very well at most.
I was very sincere with her, sincere to the core. I never cheated on her even when I have all the opportunity, I gave her all the attention she wanted. Go to her house to spend the weekend with her on her request almost every week.
When I brought up the issue of marriage, she said next year (2022), but I'm not ready for next year so I told her 2023 (after the election preciously) and I promise to do her formal introduction as tradition demand anytime she want but she said 2023 is too far, she is 28 I'm 32. Then I tried so as both of us can reason with each other...
Prior to the day of my conversation, I told her I'm expecting my family, that I would have loved to introduce her to them as my girlfriend but since she said she can't wait till 2023, there would be no need for me to introduce her to my family and friends as my girlfriend/future wife, she said "no oo"! that I should introduce her to them as my girlfriend/future wife.
On the day of my convocation, when she came, again I told her if I should proceed with the introduction, she said I should go ahead. For the first time I introduced a lady to my family and friends as my girlfriend/future wife and my family were happy to meet her include my Mom.
Because of the nuture of her work she beg to take her leave which I granted. When my boss came, she was amazed when they told her that my girlfriend came because I have never told her anything about girlfriend before she then said she is going to host her for a outing the following Sunday, my girlfriend was very happy about it when I told her and she accepted my boss request.
But to my greatest surprised, my girlfriend got engaged on that same day by her colleague at work. I saw it in her WhatsApp status.
I find it difficult to believe it, I thought it was a joke so I texted her in WhatsApp she didn't respond, I called and called and called she didn't pick my call... Even till now she has not returned my calls/text
I couldn't believe my eyes. I don't deserve this kind of treatment I said to myself.
I have a friend working in her office, she called me and asked me what is going on because she saw the engagement stuff in their WhatsApp group, then she told me that my girlfriend is being desperate and wicked, she told me how the same boy asked her out promising get that he is going to marry her but she turned it down then he moved to my girlfriend and she accepted.
This thing happened about two weeks ago but I'm yet to recovered from the shock.

So, on Friday, a friend of mine bought me an averagely expensive alcoholic drink. I am normally not an alcoholic guy, even though I appreciated him, I didn't fancy drinking it. So I kept it at home and would just be sipping it little by little anytime I saw it or remembered it.

I told my girlfriend about it. She laughed and told me not to gradually turn into a drunkard ohh! I told her it wasn't possible. Fast forward to yesterday, when she came over to my crib, while we were having some swell romantic time, I remembered the drink and decided to take a sip.

As I gulped down a sip, squeezed my face and shouted "arrrrrrhhhhhhhhh", naso my baby girl look me for like 1min frowning. I went to shop the other day and just at the entrance I saw a wrapped gift fall off a woman's bag while she entered her car to drive off, I picked it then rushed to give her, she thanked me and we exchanged numbers.
