Mamas, wey ya bumps, today is bumptuesday o. We are 33 weeks today, went for ANC and did an ultrasound, he's weighing 2.2kg. The doctor said that's a little underweight but babycenter says otherwise. Average weight at 33 weeks on babycenter is 4.2lbs and my baby is 4.8lbs so I think we are good.

Naso o my sister, after my post here yesterday I went to check konga for medela and lansinoh prices. Fear catch me o, when I saw the prices for the medela breast pumps But the lansinoh pumps are still reasonably priced.

For mamas interested in buying electric pumps, buy lansinoh or medela. They are very good and popular brands and you won't see many fakes. My sister bought lansinoh and it served her well (I bought their breastpads too and they were great) she bought the type with two bottles and was able to feed her baby with breastmilk exclusively for six months even though she went back to work when he was three months old. I don't have an idea of the prices sha, you can check jumia and konga.

As for me,i got manual sha (Avent), got it for 6500 in 2013. Thank God I didn't waste money on electric breast pump cos my daughter refused to take bottle, she was always pushing it out of her mouth. This time around, I've brought out my manual pump again, if he doesn't reject bottle (I pray he doesn't o), then I can invest in electric.

Most people don't know when conception took place. You are supposed to calculate 40 weeks starting with the first day of your last menstrual cycle. Using 1st of December, your EDD is 6th of September.

These days I use my explore feature on instagram to scout for pictures of new babies, don't know when I started exactly but I enjoy it Lol. I was on my usual newbaby search this morning and I found one of our mamas on this thread So far I have found 3 on instagram and one of those three again on facebook Totally by accident.

I've been thinking about it and I'm not sure I know what BH feels like, same thing with my first pregnancy too. I am and was probably having them but can't feel them, I read it's completely normal. Even real contractions didn't come after I had lost my mucus plug and my water was already coming out in small gushes, hence the induction. I was induced with pitocin (that thing should be banned ) it gave me non stop contractions, so I don't even know what normal labor contractions feel like.

Don't know what to expect with this baby, God is in control.

NB: Whichever way you get your house help, please endeavor to do HIV and Hepatitis B testing. And if the person is free of Hep B and you believe she'll stay long with you probably after staying with you awhile (you can determine what your timeline is), then you might consider getting her vaccinated. E no dey too cost and lasts for 10years.

@ All Mamas and Papas here. Let's look into testing and vaccination against Hepatitis B for our household, househelps inclusive. Not knowing your Hep B status can cause serious gbege. It's true sha, there was a time they didn't live together for about a year, it started then. But we've been back together for a year now and they are very close but that attitude is still there. Thanks for the advice.
