Literature / Re: Lets Do Haiku! by lindalee(f): 1:46pm On Feb 18, 2011 |

Literature / Lets Do Haiku! by lindalee(f): 10:26pm On Feb 17, 2011 |
Haiku is a Japanese poetry form. The best haiku uses just a few words to capture a moment and create a picture in the reader's mind. It is like a tiny window into a scene much larger than itself. In English, haiku is normally written in three lines, with five syllables in the first line, seven syllables in the second line, and five syllables in the third line. So if you are ready lets go! I'll start , The fierce thunderstorm excited dormant clouds anew In blinking seconds. |

Romance / Re: Valentine's Day Should Be Banned! by lindalee(f): 5:23pm On Feb 04, 2011 |
The essence of Valentine's Day is to SHARE LOVE, not only with those you have romantic relationships with but with everyone, and this mustn't be in Gifts or Money,Act of Kindness can show love, a friendly smile also shows love, a touching poem to your mother, father or spouse can also show love, That day shouldn't be looked at as a day of frivolous spending or of sexuality, i don't think the Saint who brought about the day would be happy to be remembered in such an appalling manner, |

Literature / Welcome On Board! by lindalee(f): 8:12pm On Feb 02, 2011 |
I really need a critique for this poem, would like to know what you think about it!!! Its like a New Month Poem With jolly and merry i welcome thee, who'd conquered all to be with me, Fear not to enter with cheerfulness, nor to ravish each of my loveliness. I've come with all your heart's delight, Aligned to all your cheers ignite, To lift your soul and awe your spirit, and keep you thrilled throughout my visit. I hold in me another opportunity, to make your dreams a possibility, I hope this time you'd try once more, to all your talents really explore To thee i'll give all that i bring, with all the love into your wing, Just hold tight lets sail together, and make the memoirs stick forever, |

Politics / Re: Atiku Says Violence May Be Inevitable by lindalee(f): 1:15pm On Dec 16, 2010 |
Why should a Presidential candidate who has promised us a change in Nigeria be talking about things like violence, this alone goes a long way to tell he is not fit and proper to even contest let alone become Nigeria's Next President. Please Atiku should just go and sleep and stop playing on the northerners' emotions using Zoning. Afterall that is not what makes a Credible candidate. |
Romance / Re: Why I Shouldn't Give Him My Number by lindalee(f): 9:23pm On Dec 12, 2010 |
@90 & ismaeel8 ''wats d big deal in giving out ya numba it doesnt state or confirmed dat u hav accepted d guys friendship, nd it doesnt make him see ya unclothedness. moreover u dont even know d man dat will treat u right, maybe is dat cute, handsome rich dude will just treat you like a piece of handkerchief.' Guys!!! terrific advice, Imagine giving out ya number to every Tom,manliness and Harry that just walks shabbily to u to ask for it , Hmm! your phone will be crying for help cos even drunks will call u. Anyway apart from that you cant possibly advice a girl to give her number to a guy who doesn't appeal to her, Please what exactly can yu tell them to make them back off for Good, |

Romance / Why I Shouldn't Give Him My Number by lindalee(f): 4:50pm On Dec 12, 2010 |
Well i guess this post is for the sistas but i guess the guys can still give us clues on reasons to avoid giving my phone number. When a guys comes to u and asks you for your number and you probably don't want to give him.Maybe cos he's not cute or maybe u don't just like him and you don't want to be that blunt to tell him he is not good looking or any other reason you have in mind. what can u tell him? |
Events / Re: Let's Have A Nairaland Beach Party by lindalee(f): 3:16pm On Dec 12, 2010 |
Nairalanders u guys never cease to amaze me. U guys have been arguing just for the location and its almost the 5th page by the time it gets to the fee, i believe the argument will run almost 20pages. Cant we just unanimously agree just for once so things can move on? its just disheartening, With the way things are going the Nairaland Beach Party will just be a posted thread and will never happen!! Pls lets all try and see where we can bend so this will turn a reality its really a great idea, A little way of rebranding 9ja!!! |
Literature / Re: Check Out This Beautiful Poem by lindalee(f): 2:54pm On Dec 12, 2010 |
@deez your poem's great its really imaginary and the rhyme scheme is okay. everything is just perfect. keep up the good work. @yatchs, those didn't really look like a poem to me, i feel they were more of rhymes without any particular message. hope u don't mind me criticizing your work. |

Career / Re: Lawyers In The House. by lindalee(f): 3:37pm On Nov 28, 2010 |
Its good to know legal minds are at work everywhere anytime, i need legal advice My friend a Nigerian got a lease for a shop in Benin Republic for 10yrs that was in 1987 where he started business, in 1997 the owner asked him to buy the place but because he didnt have money he asked for another lease, this time for 17years, This year 2010, the owner of the land sold the land to a different person without the consent of my friend,he came to my friend to tell him he wanted to reimburse him for the outstanding 3years. Meanwhile the new land owner have started construction around the shop and even wants to break down the place, i asked my friend to file for an injunction for the maintime to keep the construction at bay, but the real problem is that my freind intends to buy that place now at the end of this lease cos he's been there for such a long time and people now associate that vicinity to him. Is there anything he can do? |
Politics / Re: Atiku And Jonathan Who Do U Think Has More To Offer To Nigeria by lindalee(f): 12:38am On Nov 28, 2010 |
Love the way u are looking at it but am sorry i don't agree with u; Atiku had 8yrs in power but had nothing to show for it, He doesn't have good relations with a world power like Us that's most definitely going to affect us if he's made President, on the other hand Jonathan has just been in Power for few years and truly he's making the difference,he's young and needs assistance doesn't mean he's being a puppet.Nigeria needs someone who really cares for her and GEJ shows that though he may not give 100% of that care he can give 50% and that's what no President since democracy has been able to offer, I'd go with GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN |
Politics / Re: Atiku To Obasanjo: You Would Have Rot In Prison by lindalee(f): 12:27am On Nov 28, 2010 |
Naija people, u guys make me laugh, Obj and Atiku are two men fighting for their own respective selfish interests and some of us are ignorantly putting out our hearts to these people, tommorrow they will make up and together they will crush all those people that laughed with Obj or criticized Obj My ADVICE: Stay clear from this evil men they are unpredictable. Neither of them have a better record after all, |
Politics / Re: Obasanjo Comments About Atiku; 'I Dey Laugh' by lindalee(f): 11:30am On Nov 27, 2010 |
ke, ke, k, e, ke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can imagine that's the way the old man will be laughing, that's why they say Nigerians are the happiest people on earth cos they laugh more when they have their evil intentions at heart. |

Literature / Re: Rich Dad Poor Dad! by lindalee(f): 10:23pm On Nov 26, 2010 |
Rich Dad poor Dad is a book for every Enterpreneur, and i seriously doubt that there are people on earth that want to work for people all their life,so basically its a book for all, Since we are kinda reviewing the book i'll say the point that really sank was when he(robert) had to learn to work for his Rich Dad without being paid BOTTOM LINE: we have to love what we do for what it is and not because we'll be paid a lot of money. |
