Who is in charge of security in the country?

omenkaLives:
What exactly do you expect?

Just look at the massacre that just took place in Rivers.

PDP, Fayose, FFK, Ozekhome, Reno O'mockery, etc, have yet to open their dirty snouts to say a word. Guess what, that happened in PDP territory and it is bad business talking about it, for them.

Once it involves Buhari you see them develop a well functional and sustained erection like pornstârs on steroids.

Imagine those idiots even tried to earn woke political capital out of Yusuf's tragic incident.

Everything about this diabolical party and her supporters disgust me.

Politics / Re: "I Will Be Running For President Again" - Tunde Bakare by linuxuser(m): 7:33pm On Jan 02, 2018
God can never lie. If anyone says God said and it did not come to pass it's obvious that either the person did not hear God or he/she does not understand the difference between "God said" and "believing God for what he/she desires" and it does not matter who that person is. So if God spoke to him, it will come to pass and if he is hearing himself, good luck to him.

tete7000:
The most subjective phrase to be used by anyone is "God spoke to me". How do we confirm it? Anyone, anywhere can say the same. Even a mad man will say he heard God. How are we sure the man Bakare is hallucinating? Chris Okotie used the same phrase that God said he will be President, till today he is not and has even stopped trying. Does that mean God lied to him? Pentecostal pastors won't kill person with their theatrics.

You got the whole picture clearly. Dankwambo is no political heavyweight and I don't see him slugging anything out against a Buhari. He lacks the political experience and finesse with national clout so a Dankwambo will be a walk over for Mallam Buhari only Atiku can engage him for now if he (Atiku) emerges as PDP flagbearer
Politics / Re: Throwback Video Of When President Buhari Was Condemning Subsidy In 2011 by linuxuser(m): 10:27pm On Dec 30, 2017
You are not addressing the point here. The dullard once said the subsidy is a scam and now his government is doing same or worse. The honourable thing to do is to acknowledge that he is a fool and that he lied so that all would see how foolish he is that he simply talks without reasoning.

MrHistorian:

Do you want him to deregulate the Petroleum sector. . .Do you want to buy a litre of fuel for 250 naira?

Won't your Ohaeneze come out and say he did that to target Igbos again?

The bitter truth is subsidy is inevitable at this point as it is the only way to keep the price at 143 naira.

Once Nigerians promise zero resistance when deregulation gets full implementation. . .Subsidy will be abrogated.

Next time. . .Don't post like an illiterate.

Thank you for your insight. I don't wish a war to break out there because neither you or I live there but if unfortunately, it does, then it will be for all to see. So for me, no need for a suggestion of whether Isreal will win or lose but I repeat again "All the Arabs combined together cannot defeat ISRAEL so no matter how long or short any war lasts, Isreal will win."

Lol ok keep believing in your fantasy. After being wrong about Hezbollah you want to say something more ridiculous. A militia force defeated them and now your saying they can fight the whole middle east and win. I'll assume you're under the influence peppermint vodka.

And what is the sincere and objective reason(s) for your comments?

abescom:
PDP have no shame and those supporting them are doing so mainly because of ethnic reasons and because APC's inability to put their house in order gives them a fighting chance.

If PDP comes back in 2019 ( certainly not happening) then Buhari and APC would have themselves to blame. Nigerians ideally do not want PDP but APC giving some people no choice, unfortunately.

Politics / Re: SANS Intimidate Judges In Anti-corruption Cases -EFCC Boss by linuxuser(m): 12:40pm On Sep 08, 2017
If Magu said this, then he should be demoted from his job immediately. Which law prevents a defendant from hiring any number of lawyers? Is a defendant not innocent until he or she is proved guilty in a court of law? So now Magu is the voice of the court? No wonder nothing is working in Nigeria.

Nagisa:
The acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu has declared a total war on corruption in the country.

The EFCC bigwig said this during a courtesy visit to The Nation’s headquarters in Lagos.“We’re now going to declare total war on corruption.

It is our responsibility to crush corrupt practices in this country,” he said.

Magu said the biggest challenge facing the anti-corruption battle now is “corruption fighting back.”“It’s real and they (those fighting back) have all the money,” he said.

He faulted the Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN) who collect money to defend alleged looters.

“How can 31 SANs go to court to defend one (suspected) looter? Sometimes judges are intimidated. Why should 31 SANs appear for a suspect? We need to ask questions,” Magu said.

“They abuse the court process, file all kinds of applications and go on appeal, which goes up to the Supreme Court and back. They adopt different technicalities and delay tactics. Sometimes they provoke the judges and write petitions against them.

Foreign Affairs / Trump: U.S. To Withdraw From Paris Climate Pact, Calls It 'unfair' For America by linuxuser(m): 9:29pm On Jun 01, 2017
"After days of drama and suspense, President Trump announced Thursday that his administration will exit the Paris climate agreement.

"So we're getting out," Trump said. "The Paris accord is very unfair at the highest level to the United States."

His decision fulfills a campaign promise and satisfies strong Republican opposition to the global climate deal but isolates the U.S. and is certain to bring condemnation from world leaders and critics in the scientific community.

Leaving the accord aligns the United States with Syria and Nicaragua.

Critics argue it will hurt the economy but supporters say it will create jobs down the line.

Trump promoted his announcement Wednesday on Twitter – prompting American allies around the world to weigh in on the consequences of the U.S. withdrawing from the global pact.

Though there are no legal ramifications for pulling out of the accord, it does alienate America and diminish its standing as a global leader.

Trump, who made his statement from the White House Rose Garden, campaigned against the climate agreement during the 2016 election season.

As a candidate, Trump vowed to “cancel” the Paris climate deal during his first major policy speech on energy in March 2016. In that same speech, he slammed “draconian climate rules” and vowed to cut any funding for United Nations programs related to combatting climate change. In the past, Trump has refused to acknowledge that humans contribute to climate change and has dismissed it as a hoax.

The Paris Climate Agreement is a pact between nearly 200 nations to voluntarily reduce their greenhouse gas emissions in an effort to fight climate change. The U.S., the world’s second largest emitter of carbon, would be required to reduce fossil fuel emissions nearly 30 percent by 2025.

Former President Barack Obama used his power as president to join the Paris Accord without a vote in the legislature. Similarly, Trump can use his authority to call it quits.

Though the Paris Climate Agreement is not legally binding, the decision to either stay or withdraw has been deeply polarizing not only with lawmakers but also members of Trump’s inner circle.

Trump’s chief strategist Steve Bannon as well as EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt have been pressing the president to exit the deal. Trump’s daughter Ivanka as well as business leaders and other U.S. allies have been pushing pro-Paris agenda, Politico reported.

Business leaders including Apple's Tim Cook and Tesla’s Elon Musk had also lobbied Trump to stay in the agreement."

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/06/01/trump-u-s-to-withdraw-from-paris-climate-pact-calls-it-unfair-for-america.html

Now the question is; do we have a leader that can do this in Nigeria? The question is not whether or not the decision of Trump is right but rather his determination to keep his promise(s) to his electorates.

Currently, APC is denying all their promises. The dullard president is in the UK expending the lean forex to look after himself. The dullard was quoted as saying foreign treatment is bad and does not make sense. Only God knows the number of billions of Naira that was budgeted on Aso Rock Medical in 2016 budget. Where did all the money go to? When Buhari and APC were campaigning, lots of promises were made. How many of them have they kept? Oh sorry, its 2 years into their administration they claimed. Trump came into office in January, we can all see the things he has done for his country in fulfillment of his campaign promises. It's a different matter if those decisions are right or wrong but that is not the point. He campaigned that he will do some of those things and he is executing them even in the face of isolation.

The clueless one before Buhari did not do any better so the lies goes on and on. Until we all start to vote without sentiment either some is from the east, south, west or north should not be the point but rather their ability to deliver. What have they achieve before? Most older people will not Buhari will fail because of his past credentials in terms of leadership. Atiku is now saying we wants to be president and people are not asking him what he achieved as a vice president. Which way is our country going? Only God knows.

There are options to the dullard we have now and the ignorant we had before him but people ignored the options because of sentiment and politics and here we are with the consequences. Politics / Re: We Are Teaching Chibok Girls To Speak Good English – Aisha Alhassan by linuxuser(m): 11:33pm On May 31, 2017
My own point is not based on the premise of fluency in English but still cannot see how all those so-called students who are meant to write physics exam suddenly cannot speak English. I agree that there are some students where ever they are either east, south, west or north who may not be fluent in English but I have a problem if someone tells me that their physics exam is not in English.

obailala:
The bone of contention on this thread is that SS3 students writing Waec cant speak fluently in English, a lot of people here have claimed it is impossible to have SS3 students who cant speak English. And my point is simply that that is a bullshit assumption. Any Nigerian who understands Nigeria's educational system especially up north, knows that it is a nonsensical assumption to think every SS3 student can speak English fluently.

Even in my village in the most educationally advantaged state of the federation, there are SS3 students who cant string 3 straight English sentences together without help. Let alone some students from a girls school in a rural neighbourhood in the Borno. Meanwhile these girls haven't been exposed to any English speaking for up to 3 years and people actually expect them to automatically be fluent in English?

And yeah, I do have lots of common sense, and from your comment, I doubt you have any, hence you think I have to be paid by someone before making a commonsensical comment. Sorry boy, I'm not as hungry as your generation who expects a toss of a few peanuts before speaking sense. Not everything is politics and hence, not everything should be viewed from the shallow perspective of politics. Let's hear your mature response...

Politics / Re: We Are Teaching Chibok Girls To Speak Good English – Aisha Alhassan by linuxuser(m): 5:50pm On May 31, 2017
I have not only been in the north, but I lived there for over 10 years and have the opportunity to travel to most of the big cities/places except Yola and never heard of physics being thought in The Hausa language but am aware that Some part(s) of the north are backward in education even my colleagues prefers to speak Hausa language but I must say they all speak sound and good English because the least of them have at least a secondary school certificate.

obailala:
In what language did Hon. Kazaure write his own English and Maths exams?... Travel to rural areas in northern Nigeria and you will get the answer to your question.
Politics / Re: We Are Teaching Chibok Girls To Speak Good English – Aisha Alhassan by linuxuser(m): 5:41pm On May 31, 2017
These girls were supposed to be writing physics exam. In what language have they been thought the physics equations and in what language was the exam? There is no need to be political here.

obailala:
I don't think the report mentioned it anywhere that they couldn't speak a single English word. Without going too far, you can google and examine the stellar English speaking credentials of Hon. Kazaure.

It's sickening that everybody in Nigeria now views everything from only the political perspective. I'm sure there are many on this thread who actually did their NYSC in the north and can testify to the English communication skills of secondary school students in northern rural areas. For anyone to be surprised that SS3 students from a rural community in the far north (who have even been away from their classroom for 3 years) cant speak fluent English, such a person is simply ignorant of the state of the sorry state our educational system or the person is just feigning ignorance for silly political reasons.
Politics / Re: The Biblical Position On The Lagos Chapel Pastor Sack by linuxuser(m): 10:23pm On May 30, 2017
Without a doubt its obvious that you are an alien to the Bible and its interpretation so you are forgiven. However, please next time don't come to a public place like this to display your sheer ignorance. It will serve you a lot of good to keep things to yourself especially things that you are perfectly ignorant about. Go back and re-read the verses you have quoted and seek help so that you can be informed. Education is very important so please seek that education and you will be free from ignorance and foolishness too.

Iyascobobby:
"Everyone must obey the state authorities(constituted authorities), because no authority exists without God's permission, and the existing authorities have been put there by God...do what is good, and they will praise you...but if you do evil, then be afraid of them, because their power to punish is real. They are God's servants and carry out God's punishment on those who do evil...pay,then what you owe them; pay them your personal and property taxes, and show respect and honour for them all". - Romans 13: 1-7 (Good News Bible)

My take: The Pastor disrespected the same God he claimed he's serving and the constituted authority that appointed him to the position, then he must pay for his sins accordingly. To the pastor's christian sympathizers, go and study your Bible well.

The pastor should seek for forgiveness both from his God and the Constituted authority
