Buhari is human so nothing wrong with him falling sick or seeking medical attention however APC should not be lying that he is on a working visit to the UK. The problem is with the lies and every other ways to cover it up. They said he had a meeting with Tony Blair and lied about it. The picture APC said was shot was over a year old. They said Buhari had an interview with a journalist in London and it turned out that the interview was in Abuja. Why the LIES. Everyone except APC knows that Buhari is not competent which ever way you look at it. APC should stop lying and its those lies that is the issue.

noordean:
Yes there is nothing wrong in Buhari going for medical checkup as Fayose has been shouting, even though he has not been able to provide a strong proof to support that.
Assuming this is true, would you expect him to come public and tell everybody that he's going for medical checkup??
How many times av u heard on nta, ait, channels that jonathan travelled out for treatment? That is because they all do it secretly. Please leave this man alone, enough of all these propaganda, and i dont see how this will change my mind from voting for apc come march28th.

You guys are covering up the LIES that Fayose bursted. Shame on APC for their incensant LIES. Why is APC not giving a press release about the details of Buhari's UK working visit. Where is General Muhammadu Buhari the APC Presidential Candidate?

The APC put out a statement last week that Buhari will be proceeding to UK on a working visit.

Up till now, no one have seen the "working Buhari" in public. Many pictures have been conjured by APC to deceive the whole Nigerians that Buhari is well and healthy. I do not wish Buhari any ill health but doesnt it make sense that a "working Buhari" be shown to Nigerians? Afterall APC was the one that put out a press statement telling Nigerians that their Buhari was embarking on a working visit to the UK.

Actually the news about Buhari being bundled out was already in the news because APC could put out their press statement. One wonder why APC was so quite until Buhari left Nigeria before their press statement. I thought they would have proudly tell Nigerians at least a day or two before Buhari left Nigeria that he will be travelling abroad.

APC said he is on "working visit". The wife said he is on a "rest visit". Which one is which? They said he met with Tony Blair, the pictures they gave out was the one shot over a year ago. They said he had an interview with a journalist, it turns out that its a pure lie as the the said interview actually took place in Abuja.

So the question is where is Buhari? Is he not on a working visit again? We remember the Yaradua Saga. Umaru are you dead? You remember Obasanjo asking our late President? Even APC cannot even show to Nigerians any audio or video of Buhari working. Does it mean that Buhari is not working again? When Buhari was campaigning in Nigeria, they showed us some of his pictures (though some were doctored by his Deputy aspirant - Kano campaign came to mind)

Has anyone noticed that "Lier Mohammed" of APC has also gone quite for a while now? Could all these quietness and lies be because we are now recording a resounding victory right and left over Boko Haram? Could it be the news of the turn of events has seriously affected the health of APC's "working Buhari"? APC told us that they are the party of change. I listened to Amaechi the other
day saying when he was at Airport, all that people was asking him is please don’t travel because we need change. I wonder where Amaechi whom we understand was wearing a cloth for 3 months is now. It seems the campaign of APC has suddenly gone AWOL. When I checked out the financiers or sponsors of APC, I saw people like Saraki, Atiku, Amaechi, Tinubu. The question APC has not
answered is where and how do these people get their wealth? I guess by corruption or stealing. Are these and others in APC not the ones that have being at the helms of affairs of these country in one capacity or the other in the last 16 years? Now does it mean that changing from PDP to APC has given them a new birth?

I am aware that the APC supporters will not want to answer the begging questions, but they will result to abusing me about my concern about Buhari and if President Jonathan and PDP too have clean hands. This is not about PDP now it’s about the wind of change that APC are chanting about.

If APC whose leader - Buhari does not even know the full meaning of the alphabets of their party
as per his interview with Aljazeera. Does that Buhari sound like someone that can manage a local government at the age of 73? If he simply cannot remember the full meaning of his party's name, and this without any pressure of responsibility, how can he now manage a nation? I hear the other day that he will probably have an able deputy. So wonder Idiagbon was the one in charge when Buhari was head of state. What is the point in presenting him as a flag bearer when in the actual fact his deputy will be calling the shots?

Enough of all these APC lies. Simply show the picture and videos of your "working Buhari" in UK. Or is that too difficult?

APC LIES are becoming more pronounced. They said Buhari is the only one that can fight corruption because he is a man of integrity. If Buhari have any iota of integrity left, we would have told Nigerians where he was for about a week now. I pray Buhari turns up for his participation at chatham House discussion on Thursday and am sure APC and his Buhari handlers would now tell now that here he is fit and agile. Even if he turns up, that will not give any credence to his fitness because he the hurriedly lobbied arranged discussion participation was the only reason he went to UK, so does it mean he needs a while 7 days to prepare for just a discussion without any other engagements whatsoever? If he needs 7 working days to prepare for a discussion; where he will speak for not more that say 10-30 mines put together, one wonders how long the 73 years old would need to attend to urgent matters.

I wish General Buhari a healthy long life but surely he is not fit to be at the helm of affairs of a nation with over 160 million people. Nigeria’s challenges are just too immense that he does not possess the requites to handle it. So APC stop all these LIES AND DECEPTION. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

janus05:
“He’s just come here to rest. He’s just here to have a rest, at least a few days rest before he goes back to business.” Those were the words of Hajia Aishat, the wife of Major General Muhammadu Buhari, in which she denied insinuations that her husband is in the United Kingdom to attend to a grave illness.

There was widespread controversy at the weekend that the UK trip of Gen. Buhari, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was on health grounds although his campaign organization said it was for political business.

The health of 72-year-old Gen. Buhari has been an issue in the country’s presidential campaign, with a group expressing fears that he may be unable to perform optimally if he emerges president. Buhari has, however, consistently pooh-poohed the claim that he is physically unfit.

A photograph of Buhari, said to have been taken with former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, as well as Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun and Senator Bukola Saraki, purportedly to confirm the claim that he was in the UK for political business, stirred further controversy.

While the Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Peter Ayodele Fayose, argued that the photograph was a trick and a lie, others doubted its authenticity on the ground that Amosun was on a campaign train in Sagamu, Ogun State, on the day he was said to have taken the picture with the team. Blair was also said to have been somewhere else in Europe, not the UK, that day.

In an interview with the Daily Times, the spokesman of the Buhari campaign organization, Alhaji Garba Shehu, asked the doubters to also fault the fact that the presidential candidate was received by a prominent Ogun State monarch, and granted a television interview.

However, Fayose insisted at the weekend that information about the APC presidential candidate is being hidden from Nigerians. The Ekiti Governor specifically challenged Buhari to swear by the Holy Quran that he (Buhari) did not visit a UK hospital on arrival in London last week.

Buhari’s wife debunked rumours that Buhari is gravely sick and undergoing medical treatment in London. Mrs Buhari allayed the fears of Nigerians and APC supporters after emerging from a two-hour interactive drinks reception she and the wife of her husband’s running-mate, Mrs Osinbajo, held for Nigerians in the diaspora on Saturday night at the Westminster Plaza Hotel, in Waterloo.

“He’s home, well and sound,” Hajia Buhari said, as she fielded media questions after emerging from the oversubscribed interactive session. When asked if her husband was in hospital, she smiled warmly and turning to the reporter, said, “I’m hearing it for the first time.” Gen. Buhari, meanwhile, was said to have attended Friday prayers at a Mosque near Baker Street.

“He attended prayers on Friday, he was seen around the mosque near Baker street,” the source revealed, before Hajia Buhari’s disclosure . When pressed further on if her husband was in London for a medical check-up, Hajia Buhari smiled and said: “No, he’s just come here to rest. He’s just here to have a rest. At least a few days rest before he goes back to business.”

Buhari is expected to deliver a speech at the Chatham House on Thursday this week. “He’s speaking at Chatham House on Thursday, they will soon put it up on their website,” a member of the UK chapter of the APC disclosed to the Daily Times during Saturday’s event.

The source also revealed that the Party’s Chairman, Chief John Odigie Oyegun, is due in London on Monday (today), and that Buhari’s running-mate, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, will be guest speaker at another event holding at the House of Commons next week Thursday, March 5. On her part, the wife of the Ogun State Governor, Mrs Olufunso Amosun, during Saturday’s event, warned Nigerians against setting their expectations too high if the APC wins the March 28 presidential elections.

Accusing the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of “leaving a legacy of unemployment,” she said to the attendees: “General Buhari is not a magician, “ adding: “He will not find you a job if you do not go out there and help yourself.”

Mrs Amosun told “armchair critics” that to build Nigeria goes beyond sitting at a remote location and criticising on the social media. “We need to improve our literacy levels in order to tackle mortality rates and boost education, among others,” she said, adding: “It is beyond writing on social media,” to do this.

But the event was marred by the number of angry Nigerians who had thronged the venue to hear what the duo of Mrs Buhari and Mrs Osinbajo had to say. Reacting to claims by some people that Buhari’s photograph with Blair, Saraki and Amosun was fake, Alhaji Garba asked: “Are they saying everyone is a liar, including Awujale who received GMB at home in London and the TV station that aired his studio interview?”

But the Ekiti State Governor, who issued a statement last week saying that Buhari was admitted at a hospital located at Cavendish Street, Cavendish Square, W2 London West End, London, challenged the APC presidential candidate to swear by the Holy Quran if he (Buhari) did not visit a UK hospital last week. Fayose said that the hope of Buhari’s party to seize power in Nigeria, using Buhari will be dashed at the end. He said: “Buhari will never be Nigeria’s president again.”

Speaking through his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, the governor said: “I wish they can see spiritually what I am talking about that Buhari, despite the hullabaloo, will never be president. I predicted my return as Ekiti State Governor and I am saying it again that Buhari will never rule Nigeria again.

“After President Goodluck Jonathan, there will be a young element in his late 50s from the North that will be Nigeria’s president. I want to liken this revelation to the story of Elijah and Elisha. I am the Elijah while my followers are Elisha.”

While maintaining that he was not wishing Buhari dead, Fayose said: “I owe it a duty to Nigeria and its people to expose the antics of the APC cabal whose only interest is to seize power to further their selfish interests.

“Without doubt, it is obvious that these cabal in the APC are trying so hard to deceive Nigerians on Buhari’s health status. That’s the reason they have been using photoshopped pictures to defend their lies on Buhari’s UK trip.

“First, they used a March 5, 2013 picture, claiming that Buhari was taking a walk in London on Thursday. Later they came up with another poorly cropped picture of Buhari with former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair.

“The same people who lied in September 2012 that they received a gold card invitation to attend the Democratic National Convention in the United States of America are behind the robing of Buhari in the garment of lies and I challenge Buhari to swear by the Holy Quran that he did not visit hospital in the United Kingdom last week.

“However, I want to disappoint this selfish cabal. Buhari is only raising their hope and that hope will be dashed.”

If you people wants to start war, go ahead. So its either Jonathan or no one including your gullible Obasanjo and other so called forces. Enough is enough of the foolish and old cargoes in former army uniform. Was Nigeria created for them?

My friend the only certainty is that GEJ won't stay in office beyond May 29.
The stark reality and let me spell it out to you is this: Nigeria would only remain a single entity if Jonathan leaves by May 29.Any move in whatever guise for him to perpetuate himself in power would see this country embroiled in a civil war;its that bad and any person can deny this reality and curse me from now till eternity but Nigerians have to get used to hearing how serious and dangerous a Jonathan presidency beyond may 29 will is.
The forces starked against him are legion and many are deprived, neglected and utterly dejected youths from a large section of the country who even in the calmest of times are historically noted to find no qualms in laying down their lives for a cause they beliv. When you now fathom the fact that this time around, even moderately minded people see no life and future with Jonathan in the saddle, you have a combustible mixture whose fire can only be prevented with GEJ gallantly losing or being forced.
Any other outcome with him in the saddle and Nigeria is doomed as a single entity!

No human conspiracy can unseat Jonathan no matter how fierce their trying is. If its the will of God, Jonathan will lose if not pass. Looking at the pircure, how many are they? So you think only 20 jobless people carrying cards are in London. Wake up my friend. Some of those people do not have any travel documents to come to Nigeria to vote. They are simply noise makers looking for money at all cost. Some of them are being sponsored. They can only deceive those of you in Nigeria. Most of them live double lives. I bet you, as some of them leave that place, they will be fighting over money or one of them will run away with the APC money. I know what am talking about. Anyway, wish them all the best. I won't say that it's not gonna happen because it could happen.

However I am more concerned about the Unity of this country.
Politics / Re: Why Jonathan Must Clarify His Position As C-in-c Under The Constitution — APC by linuxuser(m): 8:54am On Feb 14, 2015
Absolute RUBBISH. Sure APC dont have anything in their arsenal any more.

9jagistonline:
The All Progressives Congress Campaign Organisation (APCPCO), has said that President Goodluck Jonathan, by his own admission, has ceased to play his role as the Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian armed forces, on account of which he needs to urgently clarify his position under the constitution.
In a statement signed by the campaign’s director for media and publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, the APCCO said that Jonathan’s loss of control was quite evident in the media chat which the president hosted on Wednesday, February 11.
“President Jonathan claims that he had no idea about the plans to postpone the elections,” Malam Shehu said. “Who then gave the command to the service chiefs to write the letter to Jega considering that the NSA’s line of reporting is directly and exclusively to the President? Did they write it without clearance from the commander in chief?”
The statement further noted that the service chiefs, at the prompting of the National Security Adviser, made presentations to the Council of State.
“Who authorised them to make that presentation since the President claimed that he was not informed about the shift in the polls date, nay by extension the security issue that was raised by the security chiefs for the postponement of the polls?” Malam Shehu asked.
“Is the President telling the nation that the top brass of the military can act without his consent? If that is the case, what then is his constitutional responsibility as commander in chief?”
The APCCO noted that the situation is troubling for Nigeria and for our country’s democracy, where service chiefs could supposedly act independently of their commander-in-chief.

Politics / Re: Stealing Same As Corruption, Lawyers Tell Jonathan by linuxuser(m): 8:01am On Feb 14, 2015
Stealing and corruption are quite different no matter how people try to paint the President. You can be corrupt without stealing. Nepotism or bribe taking or giving is corruption. But does nepotism or taking/giving of a bribe entail stealing? No in my own opinion. But a thief is a thief i.e taking something that does not belong to you. Do you have to be corrupt before you steal? Not necessarily. This so called professor is surely a testament of corruption. He is been compromised hence just calling the President a name out of cheer foolishness. Is that not corruption? A year 1 Law Student surely knows the meaning of stealing in Law and yet our so called professor is confused. These so called Human Right Activist are surely worst than the politicians.

Resign for what? In another country politicians dont openly carry guns along with their touts to kill police officers. And by the way how many countries have you visited during election time and you see people openly threatening police officers. The police have the right to defend themselves.

dabriggs:

In another country he would have been forced to resign.

There is a difference between telling your men to defend themselves

and telling them to go on a murder spree even giving them the numbers to kill.

But this is Nigeria. We are all timid and very adaptable to shit.

I seriously dont get the aurgement of some of us. So we want the Rogue Politicians to be killing the Police while they fold their arm? The man was addressing his cops not anyone else. Of course if any politician thinks its their right to kill a policeman why not kill them and their supporters. The life of a policeman too is important to their families.

But yesterday, he came around with his 19 years old daughter and solemnly informed me he won’t be voting Buhari anymore on February 14. I thought he was pulling my legs, so I ignored him. But his daughter quickly explained why. The girl had some of her mates visiting her at home and the dad overheard them poking fun at Buhari. They couldn’t understand how he became a general in the army on the back of a letter from his school principal. When my friend confronted them, it was her own daughter that asked him: “What does Buhari know about me? How can a man who forges certificates while preaching anti-corruption inspire me? Dad, this guy made it to a general only because he’s Fulani and he’s about to make it to Aso Rock only because he’s Fulani and nothing more!” I quickly interjected by saying that was a tad harsh, as there is no proof the man forged anything, but I could as well be talking to a rock as the girl proceeded to show me in detail why the certificate issued is a forgery. “Uncle, why you dey argue like this now? This thing dey very clear O! Na Oluwole be this!” My friend simply summarized his reason for not wishing to vote Buhari again as mental fatigue. “I don’t have the head for all this, I’m tired!” I sighed as we spent the rest of the evening sipping wine and watching TV in awkward silence. For my friend, I think he simply cannot afford to take a decision he cannot defend before his daughter, especially in the face of mounting evidence against that choice, but I can’t help thinking this is how most independent-minded voters originally drifting towards Buhari are feeling at the moment. How long can they continue to defend crass incompetence masquerading as class?

I just wish Buhari and his handlers will help this young girl by aswering her quest without resulting to abuse of course.

Well....we need more of long stories about Buhari. The more you write the more u look.stupid. Change is what we want grin
GMB was asked why he was brutal by Aljazeerah and he replied that as a military man. Defending the nation at all cost was d oath. So he couldn't bear anything that could tarnish d nations` image like corruption and drug trafficking..The need was done without remorse.

GMB meant business lets support Him
