Anambra State police command have arrested a 60-year-old man for allegedly defiling a 9-year-old girl in Nkwelle Ezunaka, near Onitsha.

65-year-old landlady identified as Mrs. Celina Obioma, have been arrested by police operatives from Ejigbo Division led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), CSP Olabisi Okuwobi for consistently renting out the apartment prone to flood to unsuspecting accommodation seekers as a way of extorting them.

The culprit was arrested following a report by her tenant at the police station, Samuel Okpara, who claimed to have lost all his properties.

Suspended former acting of chairman of EFCC, Ibrahim Magu in November 2019, announced that his agency would contract international auction houses to sell the jewellery reportedly worth $40m recovered from ex-petroleum minister, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke, together with seizures made from Internet fraudsters, having secured a forfeiture order from the Federal High Court on September 10.

A viral video appeared on social media on Friday night of the wedding ceremony of Malami’s son, Abdul Aziz who was caught on camera dancing with his new bride.

Kris Hedstrom, a Florida based woman filed a civil suit against a neighbour demanding a paternity test for the five goats she purchased in December.

Nyesom Wike, Governor of Rivers state has reacted to rumours that he will be contesting for the presidency in 2023.

The Rivers Governor said it is too early to start playing 2023 politics.

The National Association of Resident Doctors, the umbrella body of all doctors working in government health facilities, on Monday issued a notice of strike effective Monday, June 15, 2020.

The association said the call to strike also includes doctors attending to COVID-19 patients and other emergencies.



The National President of NARD, Dr Aliyu Sokomba, said this in an official letter with reference number NARD/SG/2019-2020/070620/246.

A middle age man identified as , Patrick Onoja Igah, has been arrested for allegedly raping a 7-year-old girl inside the 7th wonder church premises in Owukpa area of Benue state over the weekend.



The spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Anene Sewuese Catherine, who confirmed this said the 26-year-old suspect lured the victim who was out to buy something for her parents, into the church premises where he raped her.

”It is true. The girl is 7-years-old. She has been taken to the hospital. The suspect is 26-years old. It happened when the girl went to buy something and the suspect lured into the 7th Wonder church where he raped.” she said




She went further to disclose that the command is also on the trail of another suspect, Ediga Uja, who raped a 15-year-old girl, Miss Ene, while she was returning from the farm in Otukpo town on June 3. She said the suspect got the teenage girl by the roadside, beat her up, dragged her into the house, and then raped her.



She said efforts are being made to arrest the suspect who fled the environment after he committed the crime.

A video making rounds online captures the terrifying moment a television crew was chased through London after being attacked live on air at the Black Lives Matter protest.

Australian news correspondent Ben Avery and his cameraman Cade Thompson were filming on Whitehall when sections of the mostly peaceful demonstration turned ugly.

Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai, Nigeria’s Army Chief has warned personnel that cowardice and sabotage would not be allowed.

He gave the warning to officers and soldiers undergoing Main Battle Tank Training at Nigerian Army Armour School, Bauchi.

Army spokesman, Col. Sagir Musa, in a statement on Thursday, noted that Buratai visited the school on Wednesday.

Edo state police command have arrested a man identified as Coma, for allegedly hacking his cousin, Lateef, to death in the Auchi area of Edo state.



Sheik Aliu Mahmood, a Facebook user who shared the story online, said COMA got information that Lateef was recently paid N2 million from the sale of some parcel of land.



In a bid to steal the money, Coma killed his cousin, took his ATM card and was about transferring the money to his own account when he was apprehended.”Lateef was killed by his cousin brother with name COMA. According to him, He killed Lateef to get access to his N2million he got from land sales, and eventually collected his ATM card which he already had the PIN.
On Wednesday 13th may, Lateef was last seen with COMA on COMA’s bike.

In search for Lateef, COMA was arrested the following day by Lateef’s parents but he was released the same day as he claimed to have drop the boy at the ATM.

Unknowingly to COMA, the parents of the deceased had already reported his account to Management of the bank. Today, He was about transferring the money from Lateef’s account to his own account when the Bank alerted the parents. He was arrested there and has confessed to killing his cousin brother in order to gain his N2million land money.”





Confirming the story the state police command spokesperson, DSP Chidi Nwabuzor, said the incident happened but had a slightly different version of what transpired.

”The suspect and the deceased person are cousins. The deceased bought a land from the suspect and paid him the sum of N250, 000. The deceased person and the suspect being cousins, have been relating before to the extent that the deceased gave the suspect his ATM pin number. This shows the level of closeness.

The suspect having the knowledge that the deceased had so much money in the bank, decided to lure him into the bush, infact to the particular land he bought from him.

They got into the bush and he used a spanner to hit him by the neck region. The victim fell and he buried him in that same land.”Nwabuzor said



The brother of the deceased was the one who reported the case to the police on May 15.

Nwabuzor said the suspect is currently in police custody and is being interrogated.
