Hello house. Got to Canada safely. The immigration process at the point of entry isnt difficult. You just have to follow through the different process as directed. You will be asked questions by the immigration officers just answer them confidently, that's my own little advice.

At the first point of entry i gave them my immigration form that was given to me to fill in the plane. I was asked what are my basis of coming to Canada, what program, what school, how many years program. I was also asked to show a proof that am really going to study, then i showed her my admission letter and fees receipt. So its advised to have them in ur hand luggage as u might be asked. She also asked if i had and alcohol on me, if i had money or treasures on me worth up to 10000CAD(cos u have to declare it at the point of entry if you do, else u will pay a fine if they find out and u didn't declare it). How much i brought into Canada. So i answered the questions and was given back the stamped form to proceed to the second immigration officer.

At this stage i was asked what program i was going for, what school and how many years. Then the immigration officer threw a joke and said " i know u ran away from the hardship in Nigeria, i hear living in Nigeria is difficult" then i laughed and said not really, that i came basically for studies. Then he said "how is the cold in Nigeria, how is the snow" at that point my mind went to he probably wanted to know if i was really coming from Nigeria like i said. That was the only thing that came to my head that would make him say how is the snow. Then i laughed and said Nigeria has no snow, Nigeria is very hot. Then we laughed over it and he stamped my study permit and asked me to proceed to get my SIN(social insurance number) for work.
I went to the next immigration officer and filled out a form and was issued my SIN.
Basically that's about the summary of my experience at the point of entry.

So to all those coming in soon just answer ur questions at the Point of entry confidently and u are good to go. Wish u all best of luck . To all TRV hopefuls trust God and he will make it happen.

P.S Canadians are nice people, they smile at u for no just course, so don't hesitate to ask questions when u are confused at any point. If you tell them its ur first time in Canada they are always excited and eager to help you.

I am still trying to settle. Also make sure ur phone gsm broadband is compactable with Canadian gsm broadband before leaving ur home country else ur phone wont work with Canadian sim. I am having same issue right now cos i wasn't pre-informed. I jost got a new phone here. Information is key!!!

The 2018 WASSCE exams have come and gone, and the question on the lips of so many candidates who sat for the examination this year is “When will the results be out?” You need not look any further to get an answer to this question as this post will give the relevant answer to your question.

In recent years, the strategy adopted by WAEC is that few weeks after the conclusion of the exam, marking of answer scripts starts. Marking of the scripts and collation of results are expected to last for up to three months, which consequently means that results will be ready after 3 months of concluding the exams. To be more practical here, WAEC usually ends in May, so by early August results of candidates who sat for the exam should be ready.
So when exactly will WAEC result be out for this year 2018? The just-concluded WASSCE examination results will be uploaded to WAEC result checking portal around August or September.

What Can you do before your WAEC result is released?
- Learn a trade/ Skill
Don’t just remain idle. If you remain idle, you’ll never be prepared for the University. There are lots of skill you can learn nowadays, such as tailoring, barbing, web design, shoemaking and all others.

- Attend Coaching Lessons
If you think, what you’ve been taught at school will keep you up till the day of JAMB. Bro, I tell you now that you will fail, you will fail woefully! Its better you find a coaching center and join so your memory will be kept abreast concerning certain topics you don’t understand in some subjects.
One bitter truth I don’t want to hide from you is that you’ll play. I mean play with guys and ladies when you attend tutorials. What is left for you to do is to be determined, don’t let Amaka make you fail JAMB? Her dad already paid for her special center.
Don’t follow the crowd bro, I repeat, don’t follow them.

- Prepare for JAMB
Don’t just stay at home for Momma to send you messages round the street. Pick up your school textbooks and buy your relevant subject past questions and answers booklet. Practice at least 10 years from each past question and you’re good.

Keep quiet you no nothing about WAEC

Op you're ignorant of the current WAEC marking and releasing of result, your assertion was old method. Currently WAEC stays just 60 days and that will be mid June or last June this year. Last year may/june was released on 23_june, 3days after NECO exam started thus most of my students refused writing NECO which they registered because their WAEC results were very fine. Last year GCE was written in September and result released in mid November, this year GCE was written in January and result released in March 13. Mr blogger please blog with fact not fiction

I don't see APC winning more than few northern States because I'm convinced that southern Nigerians with their level of education will not go to the polling station to vote for Buhari, NO NO, not the south I know. Some APC supporters will always be the first to come give reasons why Buhari will win bla bla, they will tell you no credible opposition and other flimsy reasons, that was same reasons PDP supporters were giving in 2015 but when the election came and gone they realized that clueless government can never win election in the present Nigeria.

Atiku, Dakwanbo and Makarfi are as popular as Buhari in the north and in a context between them now from Buhari ineffectual rule PMB can't win these persons with more than 55%-45%. Thanks for your concern. I went to the CBT center close to me. The man in charge told me he'll make some calls to see if any of his contacts have already generated PIN available. He later made a call to one guy and he told me he'll sell it for #8000. I wasn't sure what to do and also I didn't have that much with me. But I'm thinking of going back tomorrow to pay for it. My dear, let me tell you what you don't know about South East and south South i live and do business in both region, these two regions have a kind of chronic hatred for PMB and APC. There is no way PMB would get up to 8% vote in each of these two regions, even though PDP feed North/North candidates. As for SW with their son as VP the PDP will garner above 50% their, then NC PDP, will also go above 50% with what is happening to them in the hands of herdsmen. 1. You don't need a domiciliary account to pay for application fee, you only need a master card from Gtbank, sterling bank, uba stanbic bank or a visa card from Access bank.

2. What are you using the IELTS? to study in Canada?, such English text is waived for Nigerians and some other nationalities except in some courses like nursing, but its also waved by up to 70% of the schools in Canada.

The fees for online payment and biometrics are payable at the same time. You would be called for biometrics a few days later after you have submitted your application online.

My question is how do we go about the biometric? Is the fee payable alongside with the Visa fee of $150 the same time? I.e paying $235 at a go? Please someone should guide us
