A data analyst role is not a core sensitive role......... OK o..... ๐Ÿคฃ

Being a data analyst doesn't mean he would have access to sensitive data sir. People with sensitive roles are in most cases carefully recruited for those projects. They would even begin setting the rules at the application stage, such as you must be a British citizen, must have been in the UK for 5 years, 3 years, must declare if you've been abroad in the past so so time.

grin grin grin It beats me this current trend of ...I'm happy to xxxxxx or I woke up and got an email telling me I got distinction bla blah ...our people are doing now on social media. One even posted his full university number on the email informing him of dissertation result not even final degree grading o! Employers don't use that to employ you its what you know!

Anyway ....AMEX say make I remind all of una to use my referral oooo https://americanexpress.com/en-gb/referral/tEMItOWp3J?CPID=100439814 ...I need avios to book post-Christmas ticket oooo cheesy cheesy cheesy

Yea, that has been the trend on Linkedin. It's full of exaggerated stories from employees, job seekers and recruiters, with everybody trying to outdo others on their "amazing personalities and soft skills". But funny as it might sound, you'd be shocked at how some employers really value such demonstrations. Some prioritise it above technical skills.

MOD has different departments that aren't core military or intelligence-based. I doubt if employees in such roles have such restrictions - he may be working in one of such roles.

Your kids should be ashamed of their papa.such a senseless postulation

This right here is uncalled for and below the belt. Why should his kids be ashamed of their dad exercising his belief? I don't pay tithe and also believe many religious leaders are manipulative about their preaching on it. But that will never make me see myself as smarter or wiser than those who do. I believe we're all adults here and can criticise, argue and debate on any topic with decorum and civility.

Ok, nice write up. You are a trader your self, nice i know it not easy sometimes as a trader.

But, actually dont know what to say again.

But i still have to say something, if don't take a step you will never leave your current position/situation, soo take a step.

Thanks

There's nothing more to say please. It's straightforward; what the guy needs right now isn't what you're proposing. Trading is an investment, a risky and murky one for that matter. What he needs have rightly been suggested by many other contributors.

Guys, please let's endeavour to prioritise our health over packing up those shifts. I still can't help but keep pondering on what oga Lexusgs430 said yesterday about people dropping dead.

How hard is it to work a 60-hour work week?

I worked sixty to eighty hour weeks for about 30 years. Then one day, I was in my office preparing for a business trip the next day when I had a stroke. A co-worker called 911, and the EMTs hauled me out โ€œfeet firstโ€. As I was being wheeled away, I called out to a coworker, saying to let them know I wouldnโ€™t be traveling the next day.

I was in the ICU for two weeks and in the hospital for two months. I went back to work five months after the stroke. My boss had held my job open for me. I returned to work part-time, gradually increasing my hours until I hit a wall between 25 and 30 hours per week. I couldnโ€™t work more, but my job needed more. Not just 40 hours per week and certainly more than 30 hours per week. I ended up returning to disability leave, then they laid me off.

For years Iโ€™d blown off medical appointments because I was too busy at work. I felt fine. The neurologist told me that my stroke was probably caused by untreated high blood pressure. If Iโ€™d gone to my medical appointments, they probably would have diagnosed that and treated it. High blood pressure is called โ€œThe Silent Killerโ€ for a reason. I was fortunate it didnโ€™t kill me.

Now that Iโ€™m no longer working, my blood pressure is almost normal. I take time to exercise daily. I eat proper meals. I get enough sleep. While working crazy long hours, I did none of that. Sadly, I am now coping with a lifelong set of disabilities that make โ€œnormalโ€ things difficult.

It was due to a combination of factors, life pressures, self induced pressures, health complications etc etc etc

If you're hypertensive, facing financial pressures, you refuse to use your medications ...... The end is inevitable ........

Ensure you make it a duty to check your medical baselines, when you hit 40, ensure your run a full blood count etc etc......

Health is wealth......

In the interim, whilst looking for longer lasting alternative source(s) of income........ Do you have a driving licence.......

If you do, look into Amazon logistics, Uber eats, deliveroo, just eat etc etc ..... This are very flexible and you can fit in free time, to raise extra funds.....

I mentioned a few month's ago, that we men, are not supermen..... Women should financially support more...... Don't be afraid to ask for a 50:50 bill split or 60:40(to your wife), if your wife earns more......

I have heard of over 5 Nigerian men that simply slumped and died (in the last 3 months) ..... In the past year, over 8 Nigerian men .......

Don't make yourself a statistic .........

This is disheartening and scary. I understand you might not want to share their personal experience to respect their family privacy, but are there tips and advice you can give us based on their situations that can help people avoid making up the stats? The pressure on new migrants escalates with each passing day, and learning from elders like you will be really helpful.

Are you willing to look after the home, kids and support your wife while she work full time and you work part time?

Now the question is while the husband works full time, is that not supporting the wife too to ensure family doesn't lack financially? You see support and looking after the home is relative.

if a woman suffered with you, look after your kids, look after the home, support you in anyway she can and unfortunately the marriage breaks down then i don't see anything wrong in giving her 50% of your wealth

But who defines "suffer", "looking after the home" and "support"? Aren't these relative?

You are allowed to protest in support of the Palestinian people, and there are protests in London this weekend, but it is against the law to incite hatred or violence against another religion or country or to align with a proscribed terrorist organisation.

France has already deported a number of foreign nationals found guilty of the above.

Honestly am shocked to see what folks post online, make people get sense o, not all personal views should be posted. The West whether we like it or not still dictates things globally, if you desire visas or permanent status, you canโ€™t be posting stuff against their allies or in support of their enemies.

Yea, the reason why I posted it here. I've seen people arguing for and against, just as in the case of Russia-Ukraine. Personally, I would rather mind my business in all these international politics and crises than put my mouth in what I have little or no knowledge of, except what the media feeds us.

@palestianisrae,

If there is one advice you must take from all that has been said, it is to first move out. Each additional day you two spend together in this situation is a recipe for disaster. Then the second one is to seek professional help. The marriage could still work if you both are willing and ready to make it work later. But trying to make things work between you two while still cohabiting could escalate things beyond your control. I don't care who is right or wrong, it saddens me when people (men or women) lose their lives or end up in jail trying to safe a marriage despite having several chances to take a break, get healing and stay alive and happy.

Long story short, abroad wife say she no fit dey suffer to work and pay off husband balance of fees, still dey send allowance to her first wife..... las las hanty pack up and returned back home. Home sweet home. grin

Na the fight we still dey settle cos husband is stranded. He can't work to pay his fees, he can't bring first wife since Home Office get details of the 2nd wife!

Pardon my curiosity, but my dear moslem brothers and sisters, what does a man with more than 1 wife do when he wants to migrate?

Does UK law permit polygamy?

Which wife will be the chosen??

In the US immigration law (and I would like to believe the same or similar applies to the UK), you are only allowed to present/sponsor one spouse for immigration purposes. The one you choose is entirely your choice, as long as there is evidence of a duly constituted marriage or civil partnership.

Btw, this your question bros come make me no want trust you again o shocked e be like say you want bring 2 sisters come UK shocked

Good evening everyone, kindly guide me on what i should do regarding the below issue ๐Ÿ™

1. If i get a genuine visa sponsorship job in the UK and i'm able to relocate there with my 3 young kids (i'm divorced), work for a while and save; will i be able to get admitted into a school in UK for masters and study online?

2. Will studying online still afford me the opportunity to work full time?

3. Do you think it is possible for me to be able to survive and live decently with my 3 kids if i am working full time in UK?

4. My 1st child is 12years old; will i need a nanny? or does UK law permit a 12years old child to watch over the younger siblings? The last is 7+.

5. Is tuition expensive for kids schools?

Please help me with answers and.

I need to make aa decision but i want to understand the reality before finalizing.

Thank you all ffor your response.

1. Yes, if you enter the UK with Tier 2 visa, your visa type allows you to study (whether online or offline will depend on the school you are studying from)
2. Again, your study schedule and work schedule will be the determinant
3. Your salary, lifestyle, and possibly the cost of living in your area in the UK will determine
4. Those with kids can help with this
