Try and apply for expedited appointment since you are student, you can actually request for one. Dongideon007: |
That is good. Anyways start brain storming on personal statement for the new course you have chosen. I have seen a situation where the course leader for the new course a student was switched to requested the student to write a personal statement for that new course. And if they end up not requesting that, then it is good. But better be prepared that caught unawares. rollykotex: |
if you really love the course and do not mind waiting till Jan, then check the course page and see if it is available in January. Write to them that you will accept an offer for January. otherwise, seek their advice on what alternative courses you can switch to and be sure they would not ask you to write another personal statement again o. rollykotex: |
No please do not enter your details. If the calender is available, you would actually see the latest dates available on the left side of the screen each time you log in. you don't need to fill in your details. Omoluv5: |
Please open another account with a different email address and be using that to check dates. and you don't need receipt ref no for that. If youkeep logging in, you may get locked out for as much as 72 hours. TAs soon as you see a date you like, then you can quickly log into the other and choose the date you want. This is what I did in my own case. Omoluv5: |

LONG POST ALERT I have gained a lot from this page and decided to give back . I had my interview today in Abuja with my daughter. long queue even from outside, we did not get to interview until about some minutes to 10 am and appointment was for 8 am. I had assumed the process would be as fast as it was when we came earlier in February. My daughter became hungry and started crying. (P.S if you are that woman who gave my daughter from your biscuit today, God bless you.) VO: you are going to state 1? Me: Yes, state 1 and state 2 to attend my sister's wedding and graduation, she is currently a PhD student in state 3. (The VO was getting confused at this point because I am going to 3 diff places, and wedding and graduation are in two different states. I had to clearly explain that wedding was taking place in my sister's Alma mater for under grad where she and her fiancé met. But she schools elsewhere right now. Going to state 1 first because I have another sister, a citizen who lives there, we will all go to the wedding from there). VO goes on to ask about the other people attending the wedding and I let her know, my parents, other siblings and that we were the only ones left to get our visa. She also asked about my husband's job, where my parents live, how long we would be staying and what other countries I had been to. (UK for masters 10 years ago, US about the same time, Netherlands, Benin and Ghana) After typing for what was not ages but felt like ages cos my heart was just pumping anyhow despite all my prayers, she sha approved us. I smile tire and even asked my daughter to wave to her. (I was desperate cos I really want to be at my baby sister's wedding. Desperate also because we were refused in February this year) So in February this year, myself and husband and daughter got a date and attended the interview also in Abuja for the purpose of this wedding and graduation. But we were refused. The VO, a man was asking all sorts, what we do, why we r going, if we had a house, what my sister will be doing after grad. I just told him she will move to another state to join her husband. He denied us. Personally, after reading someone's transcript here, I felt my husband could have shown our ties here by mentioning that he also has a company alongside his 9-5. We also did talk extensively about our properties which shows ties. But who knows, the whole thing is at the VO’s discretion. We were sad and my sister was practically wailing and contemplating cancelling the wedding lol. she encouraged us to reapply but this time with just myself and our daughter who is on the train just to demonstrate that we have ties here in Nigeria. And then, it became a tug of war to get a date. Almost got an agent who promised to get date for 80k each but they could not even get dates easily and could also not guarantee Lagos. so I became my own agent and after almost two months of checking the calendar every day , got a date for June 22, 2021. It took this long because there no earlier dates and also because when trying to book an appointment within six months refusal, there were no dates to select. I eventually ignore that option and chose the one that said I did not have any recent refusals. Like I said, I was desperate to attend my sister’s wedding. I began counting down only for me to get a message at the end of May, that my interview had been rescheduled by the consulate themselves and that it cannot be resolved by call centre agents. At this point I was so sure that devil was at work and started crying to God and backed it up with emails to both Abuja and Lagos consular officers respectively. Abuja ignored me despite my explanations that that attending the interview in August for a wedding that will take place in July, defeats the reason I applied in the first place (apparently, they rescheduled appointments for people who had refusals in the last six months because they wanted to give chance to people who have not yet done any interviews this year). Eventually, God used an angel in the Lagos embassy for me. He/she asked me to request for emergency appointment and even though I was not sure how that would work, knowing fully well that emergency appointments are for funerals, urgent business trips, and students, I got a response within than 20 minutes that my request has been approved and I went ahead to make a new booking for today. Thumbs up to everyone who takes time to post answers to questions on this platform. May all heart’s desires come to pass. Cheers. |

There's appointment date right now o. June 2021 oya fast fingers. quote author=UhnNah post=100759879] Don’t make excuses for these people! Adults can travel and make arrangements for their kids to be looked after! Not taking children on vacation is not an excuse to deny a visa application, especially for someone who haven’t miss-used a previously approved visa! These people just do what they want! Wasting people’s time and fees![/quote] |
Wow congrats coldsummer: |
Did you get in Lagos or Abuja. Was this your first booking or did you have to select a date before and reschedule? coldsummer: |
Thank you for taking time to respond to me. But she also wants to know if she should contact the high commission now so as to resolve the issue. Just to be sure she didn't commit any offence that she'd not unaware of. qhunlay: |
Good evening all, Please I need advice for a friend. She was issued a 6 mths uk visa in 2015. When she was about to travel with Arik air to uk, she said the airline told her her tummy was showing. I guess because she was carryign twins, her tummy was bigger than normal. Anyway, they told her she should call a number at the uk high commision . but when she did, she was told nobody asked her to call. so she instead booked a another flight with a different airline and travelled to the uk. when she arrived at the uk, she was denied entry on the grounds that her visa had been cancelled in nigeria. Apparently the european airline she boarded did not crosscheck her visa before allowing her board from Nigeria. The y did not issue her any ban. she came back home and never went to the high commission to clarify the issue. Now she intends to go and apply for a study visa. What can she do about the problem she had regarding the visit visa years ago? I will appreciate feedback please. Thank you. |
