Its impossible for a country not to borrow,Nigeria has an infrastructure deficit running into billions of usd and budget support running into several millions too annually......you cant run govt without borrowing, even almighty China is owing debt......its only economic illiterates and opposition politicians wanting to make populist propaganda that keeps crying over this.

N66 of every 100 NAIRA nigeria makes in revenue is going into debt servicing leaving you with just 34 naira,what can you do with that,atiku and obi will never tell you this because they don't want you to see more reason tinubu has to borrow......it was even worse under buhari,debt servicing to revenue ratio was over 100%.

There is nothing atiku can do about smuggling,absolutely nothing except you want to keep deceiving yourselves, you will only incentivise more corruption at our borders.

Tinubu has been able to curb food inflation that was galloping when he came in at an alarming rate that a bag was rice was heading intob6 digits.

When last did you hear about fuel scarcity, if subsidy returns,govt will keep needing to reset petrol prices based on market realities or the subsidy cabal will olalways want to force the hand of givt to do what they want and every time this happens, there will always be disruption in supply which is what leads to those fuel queues you were used to in the past.

Where will atiku get money from to pay the subsidy,his spokesman was asked how much he felt the fuel price would come down to,he couldn't say......at current fuel prices ,is atiku bringing it down to the pre tinubu rates of 250 per liter,that will be over 1k on every liter in subsidy, if its higher than 500 or 600 naira a liter to the common man it absolutely makes no sense.

Another elephant in the room is smuggling,how will tou curb smuggling to neighbouring countries? Atiku's people are k nown to be the biggest smugglers of petrol in the country which the subsidy removal has curbed in a way,is he seeking to directly bring back the smuggling trade at the expense of the generallity of the populace. TINUBU isn't telling you not to carry fuel to the neighbouring countries but he is saying,pay cost reflective prices and dont use our redources to subsidise them.

He says he will allocate crude for local consumption, who will pay for this crude and if govt is paying for it at source,how do you differentiate the subsidised crude from the unsubsidised ones in the market......what happens if crude prices shoot up above $100.

This policy by atiku will only encourage oil theft when govt is trying to buy cheaper than market value,those with the means who will be people higher up will have more incentive to steal and sell at an higher price to willing buyers therby leading to shortages and low crude output which will inadvertently lead to lower revenues like buhari suffered throughout his 8 years......this will make other sectors suffer and the need for more borrowing.

The recurrent component of the budget are being met since 23,this is also money spent into the economy and used to service the country's debts......projects are equally going on and the givt hasn't grounded toba halt yet that it can't run its business again.

A larger budget with currency devaluation will require govt to expand its revenue sources to be able to keep up,same way devaluation has affected you is same way it has affected govt.........your oil revenues and tax revenues arent enough to cover these debts so you have to borrow.

Tarrif and tax Waivers are normal in every country, some to protect their industries and some to attract investments and the this policy under tinububis attracting the much needed investments in the sectors,its targeted @.

What is take out of this is that he spent just about 1.1% of the minimum wage in Canada on a plate of rice while same plate can be gotten for 1,500 here in Nigeria which is about 2% of the minimum wage here.

Canada next door neighbour is one of the biggest producer of rice in the world,while it has to be shipped from thousands of miles before ot gets to Nigeria, add tariffs plus margins and operating cost for the food sellers.......means we aren't doing too badly on food prices in Nigeria.
