PoliticsRe: My Talks With Jonathan Anchored On Repositioning Nigeria – Obi by Lithiumite: 7:06am On Apr 28
Freshtruth:
Atiku is just clearly working for tinubu out of the 17 Southern states Atiku won't win a single one this time around without pdp governors backing his disgrace would be worst this time around.

He is just fooling himself
Atiku already has his plans with makinde as vp,he believes makinde will weaken tinubu's SW hold which is a fallacy and obi can decamp and stop tinubu from getting all southern votes thereby reducing tinubu's total votes in the south while he goes to clear the north which is also a pipe dream.

Igbo agenda,no one can tell me otherwise because thats what this looks like, same people showed up at amaechi's house painted in ethnic colouration and geo political sentiments.......look at all those in that pic,do you see any northerner or yoruba in there,... when tinubu was running around in the run up to 23,was it his tribes men he was carrying all around, when buhari was doing his in 15 was it only hausa fulanis he was moving around with,is obi consulting and negotiating to be president of biafra........I wonder why he keeps making these baby mistakes that will always be dysfunctional to his ambition.

If it aggravates you that people are calling on a president to do the job he sought for and was elected to do then something is basically wrong with you. Even in your own job, you get called out for doing a bad job not to now mention a position of public trust.
It was Tinubu who declared a State of Emergency in food security. Tell me what he has done to enhance food security since he announced it. Instead he has allowed food import to push down the price of food which negates the food security he declared
If I remember correctly, it is the fg that's doing white elephant projects like Lagos-Calabar and Sokoto-Badagry when majority of federal roads are an eyesore. The same FG has NPHCDA which is supposed to cater for primary healthcare. No one is even aware of the existence of the agency!
Same FG is using over a trillion to rehabilitate an airport terminal as well. So you see that the states are actually taking a cue from the FG. If the FG sits up and become alive to its duties, the states will have no choice but to sit up as well The head is the most important part of the human body
Isn't the airport runway worth it? You call that a white elephant project? Its obvious you have a puerile narrative pinned to your forehead and asked to run along with it like a headless chicken.

Would anyone blame your boss if you always get to work late,if your productivity is lower than the resources being given to you? The 2 busiest airports in west africa are in Nigeria MMA with about 6.5m passengers annually and NAIA Abuja with about 6m,that combined is more than the population of many states in Nigeria, each has only one runway to serve international flights which is grossly inadequate for the amount if traffic it handles......you even had to lie a trillion is being spent on the airport rehabilitation project just to push your vile propaganda.

And so what if the NPHCDA exists, its just a parastatal of federal govt whose sole purpose isnt to build PHCs in every ward in Nigeria but to set guidelines, supervise and allocate resources at the federal level to the states, the fg will assist any state that has a viable agenda in primary healthcare delivery.

You equally unobjectively criticised 2 major highway projects that are set to repurpose our economic development, the coastal road and the the sokoto badagry corridor.......a road that can allow you do a round trip lagos to PH in 24 hrs,a road that can allow you work in lagos and live in Ondo. They both would allow industries and new towns spring up into other states and help decongest lagos. You call white elephant,I use the coastal road daily and I know how much it has helped my business in quicker turn around time and cheaper energy cost,I can see how much development is springing up along the lagos-epe stretch and people already considering ondo state like its just next door and you are oblivious of the fact this will do to our economy......no one tell you not to criticise tinubu but we will appreciate if its done objectively without bias, tainted with vile political rhetoric and jaundiced opinions based on sentiments......I support tinubu but I have equally criticised him on things I feel he isn't doing right.

FG owns all forest reserves in all states
Besides, FG can acquire land in overriding public interest and the state is bound to surrender it
Must importantly, you're still falling to get the main issue. The issue is food preservation and storage not planting and harvesting as you erroneously keep knocking.
Anyone who knows anything about farming will know that it is virtually impossible to say you'll farm yam all year round at same rate.
What is needed is a Joseph to store in times of excess. The FG should lead in strategic food reserve not push it to the states to farm, harvest and still store. You're simply asking for the FG to be useless
I haven't gone out of scope in anyway and I was only inferring that storage as a vital component in the agric value chain can also be built and managed by the sub nationals, its not a big deal in anyway......it aggravates me immensely when Nigerians keep calling tinubu for every problem forgetting there are other levels of govt that should be equally responsible for the lacuna we are in as a nation.......which state of the 36 have been able to provide standard PHCs in their domain,non......as basic as primary education is,no state can lay claim to achieving MDG in that regard but everyone will still blame tinubu for that.....wasting scarce resources on purposeless airports and grand conference centers that adds nothing to the livelihoods of their citizens when they cant even provide the basics......but nah tinubu, tinubu, tinubu!!

On forest reserves.....it isn't meant for agriculture!you really need to understand that.

Is Rauf Aregbesola that helped Peter Obi win the whole of alimosho local government in Lagos in 2023 election Igbo?

Is Chief Olusegun obasanjo Igbo?
Thank you very much for acknowledging the fact that non ignos particularly yorubas really do support obi,how many of their tribes men have you seen insulting, harassing or cursing any of them for making their political choices, juxtapose that with obi's tribesmen and how they harass, insulting and curse anyone supporting tinubu?

I support tinubu but I must say that shehu scanning is wrong on this.

Federal govt owns lands in every state of the Federation
Go back to school and learn
Where did you get your own idea that the FG is only to make policies? Where did you learn your own govt that states are implementing units for federal policies?
That the Federal govt is corrupt and inefficient does not mean the state should take over its responsibilities since even the state can be corrupt or is more corrupt in most cases.
All of Nigeria's food reserve are with the FG. If the FG has failed to manage our reserves you can't blame to state for that
Besides, do you know the kind of capital required to research into strategic storage and build it? How many states can afford it? Other countries are self-sufficient in food without crying to sub-nationals. Only zombies reason that way
Where is the fg land in your state, show us?,the LGs, farmer co operatives and settlements are all under which level of govt, who supervises them?

It's enough to cast aspersions on what you arent knowledgeable about or deliberately to push your anti tinibu narrative......the fg since buhari as proposed cattle colonies to be built and funded by it,how many states have responded,if the fg had the land why them do tbey need the approval of the states or their buy in.

The fg can only make policies and make specialised interventions but the bulk of the heavy lifting is by the su nationals themselves.....fg protected farmers by banning rice importation, how many states aside maybe lagos and kebbi did anything meaningful with that policy......how much has has imo state with vast oil palm resources invested in scaling up production to tap from the commodity as a revenue source........show us the fg land in your state.

Oh suddenly the gov is now responsible for food security?
But Tinubu did not blink twice before removing a gov from seat. That shows that he sees his office and powers as superior to that of a gov so only a dummy will be asking those with lesser powers to take over the responsibilities of a higher power
This nonsense of shifting presidential responsibilities to govs started under APC with their data boys and it's now getting ridiculous
Show me anywhere in Nigeria the federal govt owns any land......where are the lands domiciled?

What exactly are the responsibilities of a gov or is it only going to Abuja at month end to receive allocations and pay salaries?

Agric is on the concurrent list and all the fg can do is make policies while its the sub nationals that can engage in the physical part......the fg has lost billions to trillions of naira to agric initiatives such as anchor borrowers,Bank of agric,Research etc with nothing to show for it.....there is no way we can be self sufficient in food if the sub nationals themselves arent ambitious enough in that regard.

So he should give them tbe education free or allow their parents continue to suffer looking for school fees for their children. Despite tertiary education still being cheap in Nigeria many parents still can't afford it......mow those funds are being freedom up for those families to do other things while payment can be deferred to ease the economic burden on them.......you are here condemning such laudable policy just because its tinubu bringing it but forget the students already benefitting and those in the future.

Tulumbu is working to make Nigeria better for yarimo and helanus

You people should learn how to cut cost. Must you people eat yam? You people should look for alternatives
How many yams have you planted to make Nigeria food sufficient even in your back yard how many?

You people just blame senselessly, everyone knows nigerian food economy is dynamic and keeps fluctuating due to our seasonal nature of farming, everyone atleast with a brain, excluding your ilk of course knows we are going out of yam season and prices would naturally go up this period till October when we will be back in harvest season and prices drop again.

If you want cheap food where you will be able to buy food for dirt cheap, you must be ready to switch to GMO foods as they have abroad and be ready to die from the side effects.....we majorly consume organic foods here in Nigeria and its a blessing to us and cheap too.....organic food abroad is usually expensive too.

What's the best cheap meal you've had recently?

So last week I was hungry, low on cash, and too tired to think too hard about where to eat. I just wanted something real, something filling, and I did not want to spend a fortune.

I ended up at this small spot I had walked past a hundred times but never entered. Ordered a plate of jollof rice and fried plantain. Nothing fancy. Less than 2k.

That plate nearly brought tears to my eyes.
I don't know if it was the hunger or the cook, but it was genuinely one of the best meals I had eaten in a long time.

Better than some restaurant meals I have paid four times the price for. It reminded me that sometimes good food does not require a big budget. It just requires knowing where to go.

And that's what I want to know from you people.
Where have you eaten recently that was cheap but hit differently?

A buka, a roadside spot, a mall food court, anywhere. What did you order and how much did you spend?

Let's build a list in the comments because honestly, we all need this information.

If you want to find more affordable spots like this near you, check out LocalBuka. It's basically a directory of the best budget-friendly restaurants around you so you never have to guess again.

Enjoyed this? We share more food discoveries and experiences on our blog, and Medium page every week.

Drop your recommendations below. Let's gist.
I had about the best smoky jollof rice this morning @ OPIC estate isheri, lagos, just before channels television hq.....menh, it was the tastiest jollot and the funny thing was that the taste was very peculiar, a feeling like i hadn't ever had jollof in my life.

Went for a business run very early, left home like 5 am and was done by 10 am,was famished and just saw this little corner shop with this glass shelves restaurants use, omoh!! I was blown away and the most enjoyable part was that it was just 500 naira a portion, had 2 and had to ask for extra one with fried fish, total bill was just 2k./$1.40......still beats me hollow how some people will fork out over 200k for a regular nigerian meal,I just dont get it.

For obidients who hunger wants to kill, you can find cheap quality meals there grin grin

Obi brought all this see finish on himself,is desperation has further diminished is hard earned goodwill......he is now seen as an unprincipled snakesoil man all for his personal agenda.

A man that had it all going for himself politically,he was on the ascendancy but went to lay with the pigs of our polity, the hyenas and jackals of our commonwealth, now he has been rubbed In the mud and its to late to get a wash......a man that atiku,el rufai and co should have been begging to join his party.

I have said same thing repeatedly, ariku doesn't strike me as a smart politician.....after his mistakes 03,07,he could have just remained with tinubu,if he had buhari wouldn't have happened in 15,atiku would have been the most suitable to be used against GEJ in 15 and tinubu would have still had his turn by 23.

His condescending attitude and not wanting to play behind anyone but be boss himself is his greatest undoing, buhari played tinubu that way to get what he wanted but atiku wants to sit at the head of the table at all times, thats why I even distrust obi more right now for not seeing this man for what he is,now he is learning the hard way.
