AMINDA: Make no mistakes, the Datti brothers are both on the payroll of Tinubu. Don't forget that the senior Datti immediately bagged an appointment as Tinubu's political adviser after the 2023 elections wherein his brother was a Vice candidate to Obi. He probably recommended the younger Datti to Obi as a member of the Northern Elders Forum knowing fully well that he cannot deliver his polling unit. Obi is smarter now.
Does that in anyway negate the facts he raised......ADC is a gathering of strange bed fellows, better still, displaced politicians........if obi wins, some members will not support him,
1, for being a southerner, 2 his interests doesn't align with their's, 3,he doesn't have a large enough deep pocket.
If atiku wins the ticket some who would have readily supported obi will equally not be too keen in another northerner just after 4 years and a fulani at that.
Don't like this to 2014 apc emergence, the scenarios are different, the dynamics are different.....also note that it's not everyone in that ADC that doesn't like or want tinubu to continue, there are several of them who are rather askance or even properly aligned with his return, some only have problems at their state level or party level.....all politicians in Nigeria are only for their pockets and if you give them the right amount of bread, they will sell you what you want......tinubu knows this, atiku knows this, obi knows this.
anonimi: Is Eleyi also a balablu toilet washer who receives advise from madmen hence why he is clueless bout how an economy runs
Do you think this is why your Tinubu made him finance minister after working with him in Lagos as finance commissioner, when they raised IGR and budget but failed to employ well paid workers for the provision of commensurate basic services and utilities?
I now believe that man that wants to be president that said he received advice from a mad man.......now i believe that adviser truly exists
Originalsly: Sounds good ... but who is doing all this exporting? How much of this is by Nigerians or Nigerian businesses? How much of this billions goes into our treasury? Why do we have to be borrowing...taking loans to meet our budget? Burkina Faso and Niger were also exporting billions of dollars of diversified products ...but almost all the money went to France while the masses lived in poverty. With this our record increase in diversified exports worth billions ...are our lives getting better? Instead of singing praises we should be asking where is the money.
Sir,look for something of value to export even services or personal skills and earn.....I am in logistics business and I am active in the value chain.....people are making loads of money from export.....
Same as the lie of 'We met our yearly revenue target in August', until Wale Edun unknowingly bust that bubble and now they want to sack him 😁
Go and listen to that speech again and more carefully, better still use a Good, clear and crisp device.......he said revenues target for non oil had been met as at August 25. non oil
anonimi: If this is not another balablu propaganda Tinubu lie, then why is he borrowing more than PDP presidents who gave us widespread prosperity with high employment for 16 years?
PDP prosperity based on deregulation and privatisation policies.
Go school you not gree go,go learn economics.....people like you who don't even understand how an economy runs, has not even ran a 2 by 2 shop profitably wants to impress on us to vote someone that receives advise from mad men or washes toilets or serves rice at parties.
PHIPEX: Typically, when your currency is useless or almost useless you tend to export more because the product you worked hard to produce is now very cheap to the world so you can sell more of it. But this only favours a country that is heavy in production not a consuming country like Nigeria. The net effect remains negative because we are not producing but importing everything known to human; what you can in export, you lose in import.
Japan and China currencies are low to attract export because they produce and they gain from it, our case is double jeopardy to the masses because we are still a net importer
And you expect Nigeria to become a top producing country barely 2 years of this administration.....as poor as you claim our production capacity is,we are still doing over 50% of the entire west and central african production combined.
You also refused to acknowledge that same weak currency disincentivise imports also because it will cost more to buy foreign goods than their local alternatives.
Also note that these economic policies of the govt to devalue the currency though the govt will never call it that but it's what it is! We now produce more steel than we used to and major manufacturing concerns are also seeing increased or sustainable outputs
Hmmmmm2024: The export was mainly from the INFORMAL SECTOR...as indicated by the statistics of the CBN...what this means is that, The major export of the government is OIL...I was expecting to hear that non oil export was from the government... The monies from non oil export go into the pockets of individuals who carry out the export... before some of you ask stupid questions, know that every foreign income must pass through the CBN, that's why they were able to track and have the statisui...but unfortunately, the non oil export are from private individuals and not the government...the government is happy that I am exporting non oil products...😂😂😂😂😂...if you don't read the entire article, you will think the non oil export was from government
I don't get the logic of your post.....is givt supposed to even export anything? The oil is also being exported by private enterprises.
DarkkManB: them no gree allow Malami drink kunu drop cup. After Abba Kyari's death, Malami was the next big thing under Buhari. He showed Tinubu shege banza, this regime definitely will not forgive him, he should have been prepared for times like this. Anyway, karma is a beeesh
If he had gone quietly and retired,he would be enjoying his loot but no,he decided to seek guber ticket for kebbi state of which the 3 biggest politicians in that state are all against his ambition, the incumbent gov, idris, his predecessor and current minister of budget, bagudu and the first gov into the 4th rep,aliero... they all have an axe to grind with him due to his overtly pompous antecedents as AGF.
uchennamani: Life na turn by turn. As you do others, na so them go do you. Court granted Mazi Nnamdi Kanu bail, Malami arrested him again.
Life is really simple: as you do others, na so them go do you.
Period
Malami the cat that thinketh it self a lion.......what buhari did dasuki a whole prince of Sokoto with all his family bame and background, would be child's play compared to what tinubu will do this guy.....malami ko,miami ni, who the hell does he think he is.
richiemcgold: Kwankwaso is the real big fish. This Yusuf actually needs APC more than APC needing him. He can't secure Kano for Tinubu
Ganduje, shekarau, barau,Abdul mumuni jibril, gawuna, sen gaya, ado bayero, the dantatas, the rabius then you add the seating gov into that mix, thats about a million votes guaranteed......now add lagos and Rivers to that then the picture of 27 should be getting clearer to you by now......Kwankwaso without this gov has been stripped naked.
All this decampees will lose their reelection bids. Older APC members don't want newer members to hijack their party and efforts. Tinubu is forcing newer members on the older ones, catastrophic implosion loading immediately after APC party primaries of National and state assembly members, Guber seats.
And what will happen in adc after the primaries are held.......Nigerians are sore loosers and every politicians will be ready to negotiate after loosen out and they are easy prey for the opposing party.
Newsmills: But the private gold refinery in Lagos, where will the company get the gold from to refine, proximity to raw material and market are crucial to siting of industry.A lying government.
You must have read the post upside down or a programed bot to abuse this govt like your life depends on it.....the refinery is a private initiative and it's the prerogative of the investors to decide where they want it located.
AMINDA: They keep repeating this after every quarter. That Nigerians have learnt to be resilient to hardship does not mean that things are improving. Beyond the price of imported rice (we will talk about its negative impact on our agricultural sector later), what other item has seen a reduction in price? Anyone?
Everything.....you are either still being fed and given allowance by your parents or don't go to the market to buy anything......I do a lot of business around Alabama/trade fair markets and I was surprised hearing some traders were self processing that things have really picked up in the economy.....SEtners for that matter......you can continue to leave in denial all you want.
Rice prices were shooting up to the heavens you called tunubu all sort of names like he was the one planting rice now same rice prices have come down you are here tyill complaing how tinubu's policy in that regard is destroying agric.....if that's not demonic hate,I can't place a better name
Memphis357: And in your innermost of mind, majority of Nigerians are actually benefiting from Nigeria with Tinubu as President, abi?,.......normally sense is not expected of you as an APC member
You better move closer to those doing better than you and ask how they are doing it,don't let pride finish you.....they are in this same Nigeria under this same tinubu while you have chosen to wail everyday of your life till 31.
And he has more than enough to go round with about 33 govs behind him.......your obi is banking on your financial contribution to run the next election......your crying never start,27 ur eye go clear.
SpaceX: for how long will he keep inviting this invisible investors without results, continue your job zombie. Who in his right mind will invest in a country filled with corruption, banditry, terrorism and everything bad.
You must either be living in sambisa or some ugm ravaged red mud locality where no investor will dare come put a penny......come to the SW and see new industries being built everywhere. The bank recapitalisation efforts have active participation of foreign investors in there......go to oil and gas and check the fdi that flowed there last year......go to nassarawa and niger and go see new industries springing up.
It's no ones fault you refuse to see these things.
Blunt99: The funny part of this argument and comparison is that both has very different systems of government.
In a democratic system of government, officials must be publicly accountable including declaring their wealth for easy evaluation with after governance.
Comparing this with an Islamic monarchy system of government where a family is responsible for everyone's welfare is actually dump.
Even with the monarchy system where the government could have embezzled a huge amount of state wealth without any raising an eye brow - the Saudi citizen still enjoy the best of life such as:
- No income tax - Free healthcare and education - Heavily Subsidized fuel and food item. - Good salaries and renumeration for most government workers. - Housing assistance program.
The same oil running over 80% of their country.
But as I said before, two government systems with a democratic government having a better chance at governing legitimately due to the presence of checks and balances - sadly, reverse is the case.
Thanks to your kind who are their foot soldiers.
Tueh!
Why would you compare potatoes with apples in the first place, you are nothing but a rabble rouser......simple arithmetic, divide the net revenues of both countries with their respective populations then see how misplaced your argument is,also on cheaper fuel, it's cheaper here in Nigeria than most oil producing countries.....always get your facts right and stop peddling half truths to impress your co haters
Aleister: This government is funny. People can hardly feed right now and all the government can think about is to tax the citizens adding fuel to the fire.
Talk for yourself that you can hardly feed,we will understand.
Blunt99: Which of the Suudis loots national assets with reckless abandon and leave its citizens in penury?
How often your leaders genuinely declare their assets, even though they loot in the hundreds of billions.
Moreover, Nigerians will never hold any leader accountable till world ends because the leaders have your kind as foot soldiers will always be there to defend, pro-protest and even assume thouts to attack protest.
The tax is nonsense, and it will end up where the others have always end up.
Nigeria don't need more tax, it needs accountability.
Has the al sauds ever declared their assets for once, are they accountable to anyone,to the Saudis have the kind of political freedom you enjoy in Nigeria....Saudi Arabia is a homogeneous nation with one people, one religion, one philosophy compared to Nigeria, you refuse to support the current president who is trying is best to halt the decline in the economy and trying to set the country on a new trajectory just because he isn't your tribe or because he bested your choice in 23.
Yes the decline from the obj/yard adua years started from GEJ.....Nigeria earned its highest oil revenues since the Gulf war era during the GEJ presidency but what did he achieve with all that money,he was infact even borrowing to pay salaries and subsidies.,buhari came to further tank the economy......what we are facing today is the result of the several years of rot in the economy and our problems didn't start today.
Blunt99: Also compare the corruption rate with similar countries.
You guys excuses are always Population and insufficient taxes...
But when it comes to the corruption that is regularly draining the treasury, you immediately get amnesia.
Bello - over 80 billion Malami - over 200 billion Abacha alone - Over 1 trillion Tinubu, totally swept under the carpet, but Abacha will be a child play when Tinubu is exposed.
Now, include all the Governors, ministers, Ambassadors, and others...
Which nigerian leader is as rich as MBS of Saudi Arabia or the al maktooms of dubai......can you raise a finger and abuse the Saudi leaders as you always do tinubu here every second? What is the GDP of Saudi Arabia compared to ours, we don't come close, talk about their foreign reserves,we come no where close and you expect same lifestyle despite our huge heterogeneous population and insignificant income......when Nigerians start paying taxes, they will hold their govts more responsible and become more active in political processes.
Worst President of Nigeria that deserves to end in jail with hard labor after his disastrous reign as President That's why no state without Godfather has been able to catch up with lagos in terms of development.....
He is only trying to force Nigerians to pay for his corrupt lifestyle and to generate more money he would use to bribe Governors and INEC for 2027 election rigging. Anybody that thinks Tinubu invented this new tax to better Nigeria should go and ask what he used all the trillions he generated in Lagos state to do if not to use it to perpetuate himself as Lagos godfather since 1999 and to hold on to power by settling every opposition, thugs, voodoo and witch doctors, etc.
Yankee101: Some people don’t understand why we’re complaining about the taxes The countries that tax that high provide so much for their citizens Also oil producing countries like us in the Middle East don’t pay personal income taxes and yet get great amenities
What's the population of thise oil producing countries compared to how much they earn from oil, juxtapose that with Nigeria with far higher population and lesser oil income... what percentage of Nigerians pay personal income tax?
BlackViper: You mean, Nigerians have no right to expect tax subsidised social services in return for the high taxes they are expected to pay? Nigeria the giant of Africa?
Germany has been existing how many centuries compared to Nigeria that has lost its way since 1960 and just gradually beginning to find it......thos is what we should have done over 60 years ago and by now we would have gotten close to German standard or better, but our lack of patriotism, tribalism and incompetent leaders wouldn't help us.
Misterone: Oga stop talking nonsense that road (head bridge to Nkpor) is a federal road don by GEJ not Obi. Obi himself said it that he was the one that facilitated the construction of that road from Abuja
Ooh sorry,i thought it was their obi.....that means he deserves no accolades.....sorry for the error.
