Literature / Re: Do You Also Remember Nick Carter? by Littleone(m): 2:02pm On Jan 20, 2006
Yap, I was also a long standing fan of Nick Carter. But the circulation of the book in my growing up days was not wide. I enjoyed the books but I cannot just remember any at the moment. I like Nick because he was calculated and cautious.
Romance / Re: Inter-tribal Marriages: What's Your Take? by Littleone(m): 1:27pm On Jan 20, 2006
Inter tribal marraige is what cannot be shy away from in our multi-ethnic nation. Sure it does work for some and for some, ih has been bad news. But with supporting parents and understanding partners, inter tribal marriage would work. As for me, take love where you find it. i am into one and I aint complaining.
Literature / Re: Do You Remember the Pacesetters Books? by Littleone(m): 9:41am On Jan 17, 2006
Pacesetter. I remember the first book i bought with my own dough at age 10 was Undesirable Element by Moh'd Sule. Afterall I hv got to read quite a lot of it. I have always love Victor Thorpe pacestter - Stone of Vengeance, The Worshipper etc. But the one I really enjoyed reading was "Too Young to Die" So interesting. I read in my lasy year in Primary School and I still smile when I remember the story line. Too bad, I cannot remember the author. Sweet Revenge was another exciting one - the bomb!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sports / Re: The Nigerian Team List For African Cup Of Nations by Littleone(m): 9:07am On Jan 17, 2006
I cannot remember if Dele Aiyenugba has sign for a foreign club. My problem with the list is the sparseness of the defence line - 5 defenders in all. I shudder!Probably Egu has his plans. My worries is also the lack of a good substitute for Ayila (the only defensive midfielder) according to me. But Eagles can always soar on with the squad they have. All the best to Egu and the Eagles of dream.
Sports / Re: Best Nigerian Footballer of All Time by Littleone(m): 9:49am On Jan 09, 2006
I would say Kanu. He is terriffic and has been on the stage for a long while. Okocha, Siasia, Felix OWolabi and probably Keshi. They were all great players!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: It Would Be Great If Roman Ababitch Left Chelsea For Another Club by Littleone(m): 9:23am On Jan 09, 2006
How simple is the Arithmetic? The FA third round of Chelsea over the weekend showed that Chelsea are beatable. Against Fulham, Middlesborough, Chelsea are beatable. Watch out for next season, Akolawole and you would be surprised to see Chelsea having a stiff opposition from other teams.
TV/Movies / Re: 'Hotel Rwanda', reviewed by Nigerians by Littleone(m): 9:15am On Jan 09, 2006
I have not seen Hotel Rwanda and sure do I am going to make a dash to get a copy. But have any of you seen Sometimes in April - another film about the Rwanda Genocide. I can bet you that was another movie that is great. I hgope these films are shown across the globe especially in Africa to warn people about the grave and great consequences of wars and the likes.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: It Would Be Great If Roman Ababitch Left Chelsea For Another Club by Littleone(m): 2:02pm On Jan 06, 2006
Abraminovich won't ever quit Chelsea. Mourinho might if he has won all the laurels in the world with Chelsea. But Abraminovich wealth and investment won't bring a mighty Chelsea next season. Quote me! Other teams are climbing really hard.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Has Fergie Lost The Plot by Littleone(m): 1:59pm On Jan 06, 2006
Fergie has not have his last days. His record snce going out of the Champion league has been terrifying. As a Man Utd fan, Fergie should continue. This season won't be a medalless season.
TV/Movies / Re: The Village Headmaster TV Show by Littleone(m): 9:49am On Jan 06, 2006
Second Chance was a bomb - very interesting. Remembered the Igbo guy - Anuka and the Up Bendel guy - Odiri. Funsho Adeolu was a great teacher and one malam (cannot remember his name right now) was superb. I wondered where they are now. Unfortunately, Malam Danjuma is late. I wish we could have a re run of the series. Village Headmaster. Hmmmh, my favourite actor was the Headmaster wife. She was calm and beaytiful. Also, I always enjoy Sisi Clara's shop scene with Foluke and Amebo.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Greatest Footballers of All Time! (soccer) by Littleone(m): 4:42pm On Jan 05, 2006
This question deserves a great thot. First of all, we have had a lot of terriffic players in the world. My first 5:

Pele
Johan Cyruff
Roberto Baggio
Franz Beckanbaeur
and
a toss of coin between Klinsmann and Van Basten
Nairaland / General / Re: What is Your New Year Resolution? by Littleone(m): 4:17pm On Jan 05, 2006
to do for the year: Be more like Christ. You are invited to join the bandwagon to Heaven. Jesus loves you. For real. He does
Nairaland / General / Re: PHCN/NEPA Electricity Supply: Any Difference? by Littleone(m): 4:03pm On Jan 05, 2006
Really, the big difference is just a change in name. Chikenna.
Sports / Re: Germany 2006: Who Will Win The World Cup? by Littleone(m): 1:39pm On Jan 05, 2006
The hype about who is winning and who cannot win is something else. Of course, Brazil has all to win it. I am not ruling them out. And I would rule out my beloved England (they are good), my rugged Germany (host factor) and probably Argentina. Between this four, we have our champion. Don't be surprised if Portugal pull one or two tricks.
Sports / Re: Why is Yakubu not going to Egypt? by Littleone(m): 1:18pm On Jan 05, 2006
A lot has been written about the YAk issue. He should stay put in England where he is receiving all the noise right now. It is not needed in the Nigeria National Team despite the fact that he has been banging in goals all season. To me, he is a club player and not a national player. Yak, enjoy the rave in england and when it is over, stay back there for we don't need you in any capacity here.
Politics / Re: If Obj Stays: Who's Fault ? by Littleone(m): 12:54pm On Jan 05, 2006
Obasanjo would ba at fault if he stays. Yes, he would.
Career / Re: How Much is a Good Salary in Nigeria? by Littleone(m): 12:35pm On Jan 05, 2006
A good salary is on that makes you meet up with your responsibility. For more fresher in establishments other than banks and oil industry, the entry income is between 40k - 50k. The question should be : In the Nigerian setting, what is an adequate salary? grin
Literature / Re: Which Books/Novels Are You Currently Reading? by Littleone(m): 12:03pm On Jan 05, 2006
I have gotten involved so much in Tom Clancy books in the last 3 months. Some are sure do exciting but some are too detailed and boring. I sure do am into Jonathan Kellerman but the old authors are still exciting. Have anyone read a copy of Francis Dick's Come to Grief and Brian Garfield's Hopscotch?
Sports / Re: Will Man U Win The League Again by Littleone(m): 11:46am On Jan 05, 2006
Too bad that this is not the season for us, Man Utd fans. The slip at Highbury put a paid to the premeirship dream. Lets slug it out at the other end of the competition - FA Club, CArling. Chelsea won't stop winning!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Where Are Our Wingers?? by Littleone(m): 11:43am On Jan 05, 2006
Sure, football is now dynamic. WIngers, to me, are not just footballer who crosses the ball but footballers who can in a moment cut from the wings and cause the damage. Amuneke was one, for sure. But lets have a look at Utaka, Osaze Peter, John Owoeri. We still have wingers around but the coach style determines an all out wingers or just a midfielder contributing to the attack.
