malvisguy212: isaiah 6. In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a
throne; and the train of his robe filled the
temple. 2 Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings
they covered their faces, with two they
covered their feet, and with two they
were flying. 3 And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty;
the whole earth is full of his glory.” 4 At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the
temple was filled with smoke. 5 “Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live
among a people of unclean lips, and my
eyes have seen the King, the Lord
Almighty.” 6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had
taken with tongs from the altar. 7 With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this
has touched your lips; your guilt is taken
away and your sin atoned for.” 8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will
go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” 9 He said, “Go and tell this people: “‘Be ever HEARING , but never
UNDERSTANDING;
be ever seeing, but never PERCEIVING .’ 10 Make the heart of this people calloused;
make their EARS DULL
and close their eyes.[a] Otherwise they might see with their
eyes,
hear with their ears,
understand with their hearts,
and turn and be healed.” 11 Then I said, “For how long, Lord?” And he answered: “Until the cities lie ruined
and without inhabitant,
until the houses are left deserted
and the fields ruined and ravaged, 12 until the Lord has sent everyone far
away
and the land is utterly forsaken. 13 And though a tenth remains in the land,
it will again be laid waste.
But as the terebinth and oak
leave stumps when they are cut down,
so the holy seed will be the stump in the
land.”

This verse is for people like you.
Really?
There is no evidence of the first destruction of the world by the flood of Noah (as bible recorded) from several researches, even in the Pyramids which are older than Noah.
Remains of Ancient Trees over 200,000 000 years in regions of Nova Scotia, Canada were found not to have been immersed in any flood and are even older than biblical creation.
Carcases of 35,000 year old Mamoths in Northern Siberia have been found not ever submerged in any flood.
With these facts its safe to say that your quoted biblical prophecy of doom is just fable.

Clap for yourself!
Really? Yet there are countless teachings, doctrines, denominations and understandings of same bible, with all teaching and claiming guidance of same holy spirit. Pls wake up.

alexleo: Numbers 13:26,27

26 And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land.

27 And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.

You and I know that there are certain benefits that children enjoy which comes as a result of their father's labour, meanwhile the man that laboured for it is dead. Its not a strange thing in life.

Moreover, Abraham lived a very fulfilled life. Was very rich, he saw his son Isaac and the son by the other woman. He enjoyed his walk with God and fulfilled God's requirement of him. He didn't complain. Why are you drinking panadol over what should ve been his headache?(Meanwhile it wasn't a headache to him) You ve not even made more achievement and fame than Abraham and here you are worrying yourself over him. Na wa for una.

Isreal always had a part to play in order to have God's promises fulfilled in their liVes. You can't force God to do things your way. They kept failing, thereby prolonging its fulfillment. That's a mortal man and his imperfection.
I have made my point I think. I can't force you to learn something that is too glaring to ignore.

Guess they figured out you are a hopeless case fast enough. But I kinda have this thing about hoping against hopelessness for cases like you. Think I was wrong. And don't bother responding 'cause I aint going to be there to read your shit. Busso!
You are really a kid! Am sure people thought you had something to offer here with your poor spanish.
Instead of you to at least learn something, you throw insults on every post like you know something.

In my walk with God over the years I ve seen his word fulfill in my life, in my family, in my church and in the world at large daily. I have no double mind towards his words concerning heaven. Heaven is just the perfect place as God's word said and we are yearning to be raptured. May God help us. Amen. Join us in this heavenly journey.
You never know what you are missing until you try something else.
As for heaven, rest assured that its fantasy.
Time past it was PROMISED LAND, later Land flowing with MILK AND HONEY, then HEAVEN.
As long as man remains on this earth with its challanges, disease, pain and death all these utopia will remain attractive to those who don't learn from history.

and Seleucid Empire are both Greek. Okay?
Very poor analysis. Who mentioned Muchacho?
For your info, Seleucid Empire was one in its rights, acquiring territories to the east, beyond previous Macedonian area. Calling it Greek empire is only for convenience but wrong. Alexander was not considered a greek but Macedonian. Besides Empires where only made by acquiring and losing territories so what's your point?

Christianity Etc › Re: Another Evil Tree In Heaven by Liveair(op):
alexleo: You seem not to get it, was it promised them that the milk and honey will flow forever as in the case of what we shall enjoy in heaven forever?
Oh, ok, at what point and where did Israel see the Milk and Honey AT ALL? Don't tell me the land was spiritual 'cos Abraham was physically shown Canaan.
Gen 15:5 says Abram was taken outside to count the stars and promised descendants as numerous.
This is funny since the stars out-number all humans, thoughtless of Abrahams seed alone.

alexleo: Was he also promised that he will see his grand children?
This should get you thinking;
the "promised land" occupied by Israel is actually less than 1/3 of what was promised them.
If you are promised something, then asked to go through painful circumcision at 99yrs, offer sacrifices and asked to relocate, yet you don't see its fulfilment, of what benefit has it been to you when you don't even live to see your grand children? Moreover, his descendants had to endure over 400years of slavery and keep over 150 laws, and fight endless battles, all for a land they expected to flow with milk and honey.

alexleo: The world is a temporary abode for us and it is clearly stated in the bible so there is no blessings of God to any of us that is eternal. Again our journey in the world is still in our imperfect state so those conditions perfect us in our walk with him but in heaven we shall be perfected so no more condition. Even Jesus clearly stated it that if we should follow him we shall suffer for his sake. The only eternal promise given to us is the promise of eternal life in heaven. And that is where we are told that we will have NO PAIN, NO TEARS, NO SORROW, NO DEATH forever and ever. Dont you get it?
Gen 17:7 says that this promise is an EVERLASTING COVENANT! This should be clear to you.
No more conditions in heaven? I laugh.
What is the tree of life there for and of what use is its "healing bringing leaves"?

alexleo: You are pointing out what God did not tell Abraham that he later met on the way, how about the numerous ones he promised him and many others in the bible that he fulfilled. How about the various miracles done in the bible? Bros go find better job abeg
I pointed out surprises, not only for Abram, Israelites, Adam and Eve. I can point more.
What numerous ones?
Which ones did he fulfil? What miracles - the ones that are not reported in anywhere else except the bible itself?
Haha...I've got a great career with people on my payroll and can't be looking for a job.

Concerning the bolded you only made me laugh.
Your initial post at least made an attempt to answer, however, you are now failing to provide concrete arguements.
As for mindset, only one who refutes evidence on the platform of "it should not be taken literally" can be said to have a certain mindset.

macof: Genesis 15:18-21
Yahweh speaking to Abraham
"I would give your seeds(Hebrews/Jews) the lands from the rivers of Egypt to the Great river of Euphrates, covering all the lands of the tribes of Canaan"

This land in modern geography is from the mountain Sinai to The external boarders of Syria

Pls people honestly answer...how much of this land belongs to the Jews?
Hold on a while, they'll soon start telling you its not literally understood.
Christianity Etc › Re: Another Evil Tree In Heaven by Liveair(op): 5:51pm On Aug 23, 2014
RockMaxi: In depth interpretation of the Bible especially that of the book of Revelation is never to be interpreted literally the way you are going about it.
The day I caught the interpretation of this verses you are about mixing up I became enlightened beyond what I will just narrate and throw at you on this public forum.

Most time that visions are relayed in the bible it is not to be taken as if reading Macbeth or Shylock Holmes series.. Do you at all understand the visions of Daniel? Such requires in depth analysis and it will surprise you that the healing mentioned was used as a result of interpretation to describe the experience that will come from the fruits.
You see the big problem with Christianity, when you fail to explain clearly or even understand a subject, because it is clearly self contradictory, you start running from pillar to post, then claim it is not literally intepreted. Heaven, Hell, Satan, Garden of Eden are all literally interpreted but the contradictory ones are not.

It would be great if you could explain it as you understand it, let us learn spiritually too.
Remember, if you can't explain something, you don't understand it.

OLAADEGBU: Fulfilled Prophecy
[i]...excitement about your faith...

https://answersingenesis.org/is-the-bible-true/4-fulfilled-prophecy/
Let me start by saying that Daniel's prophecy cannot be correct.
Daniel 2 & 7 mentioned 4 kingdoms (empires). If the crushing stone symbolised Jesus' kingdom then only 4 empires were expected. However, I can mention 5 empires who ruled that era before AD.
1. Babylonian Empire
2. Persian Empire
3. Macedonian Empire
4. Seleucid Empire
5. Roman Empire.
Now, if you also claim that the empires went beyond Jesus' era, I can also mention another 5 empires after that era, meaning Israel didn't get any kingdom of eternal peace as prophesied in Daniel 2&7.
1. Byzantine Empire
2. Ottoman Empire
3. British Empire
4. Spanish Empire
5. Portuguese Empire

According to Daniel 7, the new Empire(Kingdom) shall never end-this never happened.

You mentioned Ezekiel 26 predicted the destruction of Tyre. Well, Ezekiel 29:9 predicted Egypt's desolation into a waste land; Egypt is still here today! Other nations- Philistia, Moab, Edom, etc were all prophesied to be destroyed too. This shows this were random probable guesses since kingdoms then were routinely conquered.
Its not any better than Nostradamus' prophecy which was linked to 9/11 events after occuring.
These "predictions" were very normal in those days of wars and constant conquests when kingdoms and empires would take up arms and conquer territories so such "prophecy" would likely come sooner or later-nothing special.

Your quote Micah 5:3 doesn't even say anything other than a woman will give birth to a son to rule Israel. This is quite laughable since only a woman can definitely bear children. Its vagueness is such that it could have meant any child; no name, parents name or specific time of birth was even mentioned.

Your quote Isaiah 44:28 to have prophesied the leadership of Cyrus of persia.
The book of Isaiah has long been proven to have been written not by one but by upto three authors. Chapters 40-end were written by anonymous authors around 6th century, during and after the exile - nothing predictive here since it was during Cyrus' era.

As regards Jesus, the Talmud had predicted through Micah and Isaiah the coming of a king called IMMANUEL. Jesus' name in Hebrew was YESHUA, meaning "GOD SAVES". Immanuel however, means "GOD WITH US".
These names are completely different and Jesus was not named Immanuel at any time. Only his follower had over centuries, tried to link them together.

See how your "Loving Father" is desperately seeking worshippers by threatening them with hell fire, including you if you fail to convict others.

Christianity Etc › Re: Another Evil Tree In Heaven by Liveair(op): 8:43pm On Aug 22, 2014
PastorOluT: U still don't get it do u? The death that was mentioned wasn't just death in the flesh (though that's a fruit of the main death), bt death in the spirit which is separation from God which is life. If only u can understand this then it will help, for ur info I don't reason as u tot that I would say the death was a good thing.

And as for the surprise, I am not surprised at all 'cos there will be fruit for healing in paradise. This doesn't mean that we will get sick n need healing bt that we will get better n better for all eternity as we partake of the fruit. Remember we are in an imperfect state right now, so it will only make sense that when we are transformed we will get better n better.
If you cannot make someone see sense in an idea it means that that idea probable makes no sense.
Pls try and reason this;
So after your bible stated that you must be perfect just as your Lord is perfect, you still claim that you will get to heaven imperfect and will then eat of the tree and be perfect?
Now, after eating it for the first time you mean you still have to eat more to IMPROVE on the perfection? How can you improve on perfection?
Does this make sense al all?
