Hahaha...is your God VOLTRON? I remember an episode in which he was put in a come! |
Apatheist: Bullshit!!!Extreme Religious Fanatism! |
All your gods are showing similar characteristics. |
Apatheist: My hell is worse than yours.Which god is angrier now, your or the Jewish? |
qstar: You've not read our Holy book- the Spidery. This is fanatism! |
Onyegecha: That is the recipe for hopeless idiocy and eternal mind slaveryPerfect! |
frosbel: You deserve an award !Award? It should be your, having shown your understanding of the bible is better than most. |
qstar: Gaddem! That battle's gonna be bloody. But, we're better off. Since we do not belong to any group. With some popcorn. |
qstar: @Liveair.You mean Rev 19:19? Maybe they forgot too. |
Hey hey! Frosbel has asked a Simple question yet you all are proving not to have any answer to it. Jesus said before him no one had gone to heaven. Where then did Elijah and Enoch go? Revelation 20 stated that there shall be a lake of fire where Satan and his angels will be cast. It also states that there shall be judgement after the end and the dead shall rise to be judged. Anyone whose name isn't in the book shall be sent to hell. If this order is clearly stated, which Heaven/Hell did these your visioners go to when the dead have not risen and judgement hasn't taken place? |
eduxerxes: Man has to Believe in God...any god at all...meaning Atheism is a non-existant ryt? What d'u guys think? Liveair and rationalmindNo! Man doesn't HAVE to believe in God, he chooses to. Some choose fate...whatever happens so be it. In future, when more certain facts would have been discovered and are in public domain concerning the origin of conciousness or the universe, hardly anyone would remain religious. |
Zikdik: Biblical chronology puts Noah's flood at 2345 BCE.Oh, i see. I did my own calculation and arrived at 2292 BCE for Noah's food. Really close dates! Great Regards Zikdik. |
rationalmind: I think you've made some very valid points. Belief in God mostly has its root in fear and despair.Yes, i agree with rationalmind. As a last resort, most people at crossroads desperately grab on to straw! Believe in a god, any god for that matter, offers yet another hope. |
tobechi20: FactSame god? How? |
qstar: Y'all gotta be kidding here. You need to hear the message of my Lord and Maker. He's no other person than "the Spider Man". He later revealed his spiritual name to His faithful servants like me. Oh, little me! This name is not pronounced orally, it is the sacred opening to the Holy one. TSM@.Why do i get the impression that this story, like other God-stories, are all similar? |
onetrack: Don't tempt my god! He works in mysterious ways....And my own shall judge him. |
speak2emmalex: Bros forget talk if u are asked to Pastor or work in any of those state, am pretty sure u won't even consider it.. no matter the pay or the callingFor what! And forget our tithes and offerings? I said open the church Pastor, God shall protect us. He has promised and shall not fail. |
But wait Zikdik! If the Pyramids are BCE 2550 old, then Noah's flood, which i actually calculated to have taken place at 1656 years after creation (Noah was 600 years then) must have taken place and dried up even before the pyramids were built in 2550 BCE. Now, if creation is 6000 years old, then 6000-1656=4344yrs. Then the flood is actually older than the pyramids as bible suggests. Or am i wrong somewhere? |
Close what? Are you crazy? As long as the earth remaineth, seed time and harvest shall not cease. Pastor, go and open the church for service! |
onetrack: My god will beat up all your gods! There is no doubt about it! But don't ask me to prove it, he does not make public appearances. I just know and I have faith. How can he beat up any god when he doesn't even show up? Funny god! |
Its just an English word used to describe any person, animal, place or thing that is not yet understood. When it becomes understood, the name God simply diminishes. |
Hmmn, hasn't your pastor told you to take it as it is and not to question God? Avoid reading the scriptures with your brain, read with your heart lest you fall! |
UrbanMystique: never question my godHahaha. Pls tell your FSM to "Bring Back Our Girls". Or can't he? |
Lex11: With re: to 2 Kings 3:27 - God did not command/require this sacrifice. Futhermore, it was offered by the "enemy".Please Read the Bible very well. The Israelites were required to spare part of the loot of war regularly for their God. The most precious ornaments and items were set aside as holy, for temple use. Read Num 31:25-54 As for Jephthah's sacrifice, there was no mention of God preventing him or even reprimanding him. However, if that sacrifice was unacceptable, why didn't God prevent his daughter from coming out by sending a goat instead? |
UrbanMystique: well my god is better than yours.Ah, "defender of the universe"? From who/what is he defending it? Why did he make yahweh and allah? |
AtheistD: It didGreat. Bulls eye! |
AtheistD: Mine is better than yours buster so screw you!!!!!!Seems the message got to you. |
submit: They held memorials for her because they likened her case to that of isaac. See the daughter's statement in vs 36. Jephthah was also a national hero. You don't seem to get it. What case about Isaac? You see, Jephthah's promise says "...offer as BURNT SACRIFICE ANYTHING that first comes out of my house" In the bible, other people have been GIVEN to God so why was her own different? A memorial was even set up yearly for her (v40). It records that Jephthah "rent" his clothes in anguish, knowing he was bound to keep his promise to sacrifice her. Why would he do so if its any less? Was she the only lady who was dying a virgin? Of course not! She was sacrificed; BURNT! |
ammyluv2002: Killing in God's name is worse cause He has said it over and over again "do not fight for me, the battle is of the Lord" so when we choose to fight for Him we commit the sin of disobedience and killing. Now, for one to start fighting/killing in God's name that means that fellow believes there's God but choose to be blind or brainwashed so I won't say the person is ignorant cause is there in the Holy book so you sin against God willingly.Wrong! Read Deut 13:9-10. Deut 21:21, 1Kings 18:40. All these texts show that God both asked and encouraged that people be killed for either not believing or disobedience. My conclusion is that the christian God prefers them dead. |
Apatheist: Judges 11:30–31Spot on! I was going to point this out. Some christians like to defend blindly anything they see as disturbing. It is CLEARLY stated that he said "...offer as burnt offering". Jephthah clearly didn't expect his only child to be the FIRST THING that he sees come out of his house, maybe he expected one of his sheep, ram or goat. It is also stated that it became a practice in her memory for daughters of Israel to mourn her. If she was just dedicated to God's service like Samuel was, why did they hold memorials for her? |
I can't begin to list all that God has done in my life; is it the Gift of Life, that am alive? Is it Peace? Is it Provision? Is it Protection? Infact, He is always Faithful. This is a typical statement from Religious folks. Now, when you ask them, "...so whats special about life or protection or ...", they say, "well,...some people have died, some have no food, others are in hospital now". As soon as you explain to them that those that don't believe in or pray to their God also have these things, they begin to insist that their God provided them. But i ask, if your God provided them for you, who provided for me if not my God? If you are a xtian, you most likely have been programmed to see all other Religions as evil and satanic. If you are a Muslim, all other faiths are seen as Haram. In other words, MY GOD IS BETTER THAN YOURS, yet can't provide evidence that its so. You think your experience is the best, He gives you joy. He always hears and answers you. Have you had their experience? You must understand that the other folk, just as much as you, is totally convinced that his God is Almighty. That as a Muslim, he sees the FLAWS in xtianity, just as you, a xtian, see the FLAWS in Islam. Actually, if you know the size of our Solar System, the sizes of the Galaxies and beyond, with the billions of Stars and earth-like planets, you'll know that If there was a God, He would be too big for any Religion let alone boasting all over the place about how unbelievers will be punished. Is your God still better than mine? Just shut-up and prove it! |
krazydave: Wow!.... Your all in too deep! No! You are far too miss-informed. Maybe a thread be started as suggested by qstar. |
